How to make a recording mic from an old telephone

Recording pros are always looking for different effects to get the exact sound they want, and a low-fi microphone is often used in the studio for recording.
Here is a ‘report’ of my conversion of an old rotary dial telephone into a low-fi recording microphone for a friend's studio.
