How To Fix A Check Engine Light Joke - Cargasm Ep. 1.5

  • In this video I show you a practical solution for diagnosing and fixing your check engine lights on your car. Don't take this video seriously because it was just created to have a little bit of fun. You should always consult your manual and use an engine code reader before blocking or clearing a check engine light or take your car to the dealer if it's something you can't deal with at your own skill level. My check engine light ended up being an emission sensor code which doesn't impact the performance of the car and is easily cleared with my Cobb Accessport tuner dongle.

Check engine light is just an indicator that your engine is turned on, lonely and want's you to check it out. eventually, if you checked the engine enough, it will be satisfied and be turned off.

You could also remove the dash & actually disconnect the LED that's illuminating it. Where I live it's so hot that if there's tape anywhere in the vehicle, it'll melt & ooze the adhesive goo all over everything.

Were you able to get any OBII data? usually the light can be triggered if a sensor if fallout outside of a specific voltage range, but is otherwise functional. Other times, if it uses an O2 sensor that has a built in heating coil, and the coil fails, you will also get the light while the engine will seemingly run fine.

I lucked out so hard last time I went for a test, reset computer before driving down, light came on right after I left the testing parking lot. vacuum leak on one of them there tubes was messing with the MAP sensor. fixed now but it was so bad because the car ran so rich.

a good rule of thumb as to if you should drive a car or not when the engine management is illuminated is that if it's flashing you should have it recovered/don't drive it.
if it's just constant still have it repaired but it's usually something that won't cause more engine damage.
top bodge tho with the tape haha. ... working in the motor trade myself I may or may not have witnessed people removing their bulb for the check engine/eml light
