Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 8th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were evevntually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 4th tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Division 1 South East. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams...and not forgetting our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. the midfield were lacking in that defensive aggression and a bit of height and he’s certainly brought that top top signing
I think jwl is playing even better with the inclusion of Watson aswell, gives him alot of freedom

This just goes to show you the quality Devs brings to this club. I have to say personally, I thought we were going to struggle escaping relegation after the first 5 games. Devs just has the ability to get the right people in the right spot when they’re in form. Gotta give that man some credit. #UpTheTags

The moves Hashtag have made this year have been outstanding. The team looks like they are good enough to have an opportunity for promotion this year, which is absolutely insane!

Matt Wooldridge is absolute class, the skill to mug off those two players before his shot which set up the third goal was class, amazing turnaround from Hashtag and the lads upfront look like such a goal threat, which was lacking at the start of the season. When you come in 2-0 up and ur annoyed you know ur on to something good, love the mindset Devs is drilling into them.

Haysom has been fantastic on defense, while Hirst and Bantick are sensational near goal. Terrific run. At the start of the season, it was clear that this league would be far more difficult and I was thinking a mid-table finish would have been optimistic, but now, the sky is the limit!
This season Hashtag have improved so much! There on their way to the premier league step by step
Haysom and Wooldridge were brilliant in both matches

The new guys really have upped the levels. Watson has the technical ability and has surprised me how well he can mix in physically. We know bano's quality and Hirst knows where the net is too!

What a brilliant video to watch. Congrats to the editing team who works hard to get this video top notch and releasing this today with technical glitches and barriers and they managed to get it out! Hashtag really is a rollercoaster from start to where we are now. We was struggling at the start and now we found our spark midway with players signed in the right positions and now we are in shout of playoffs contenders. We’ll keep this going and hopefully we will celebrate a successful first season here at Isthmian League!

I used to hear Devs talk about looking "lively on the ball" and wondered what he meant. Surely the boys are doing their best. But this squad... Watson, Bantick, Flood, JWL, Hirst... these lad are LOOKING LIVELY ON THE BALL. They look like they want to win every possession. Such a fun team to watch.
