Having worked in this field, this is a breath of fresh air. However there are two points that need to be emphasized. First, these people were identified as having a cancer with the gene that is sensitive to the drug. So, we're not talking about all colorectal cancer, only those selected with genetic testing of the tumor as likely to respond. Second, don't use the word 'cure' until you've followed for many years. The correct term is complete response, where all measurable tumors disappear. Unfortunately the biggest hurdle in oncology is the relapse, when disease resistant to the drug selectively evolves and ultimately recurs years later. Most cancers are heterogeneous, and if the drug destroys 99%, the remaining 1% grows back and the cancer recurs. Treating that relapse is usually much more difficult because the cells survived and evolved in a selective mileu that makes it more likely to be resistant when exposed again.

You know i think its not just cancer cell but also callouses/deadcells, because it triggers our immune response to scavenges itself just like in a state of when our body is in state of severe hunger, scavenging weak/unecessary tissue or cells as a fuel, promoting to replacing old/dying cells/tissue in the process. Good Job its truly a remarkable breakthrough.
