  • This video will show you how to do it yourself Just buy your own rubber inserts using the existing wiper blade arm. MAKE SURE THE BLADE IS WET IT WILL MAKE IT MUCH FASTER TO REPLACE!
This will save you money. If it saves you money please give it a thumbs up. 👍
This should work on 4th generation Prius Prius prime models. And probably the regular prius as well.
If you have any questions let me know leave comments below. Hope it helps you all.
I also made videos on how to replace the spark plugs and transmission fluid so check those out as well!

Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Oh and sorry to be that guy but access means a way of gaining entry as in I gained access to the vehicle by opening the door. excess means left over as in there is excess wiper blade that you can push into the wiper arm. Keep making the videos.

Thank u. U don't HAVE a rear wiper. My 2019 Limited DOES. My wipers are 4yrs old, and windshield's were fine, but rear was ripped so I replaced all of them. Rear is same length as passenger BUT built different. U have to reinstall 2 metal pieces that are length of wiper. So look closely. Got them at dealer & got correct parts. 👍✊🖖🇺🇸

Thank you for this. I didn’t realize you could buy new inserts, so I just ordered new wipers. They came without installation instructions! Your video helped. I join the others in condemning Toyota for using proprietary wipers. I wanted to have the wipers replaced during an oil change. Easy, right? Nope. None of their universal wipers would fit.

Thanks for posting this video with part numbers. I wasted well over an hour at NAPA, Advanced Auto and O'Reilly's where the staffs were totally CLUELESS. Why Toyota went with this proprietary blade system is a mystery. The local Toyota dealer was also clueless telling me they ONLY stock "aftermarket" wiper blades and could NOT get me OEM parts.

I was looking for a release-tab on the ends of the wipers like I'd seen on my older cars, to slide the blade-inserts out with, and couldn't figure it out on my Prius (2016 Two Eco). Thanks for this vid, I learned that the ends don't release, but that it would be an easy job anyway. I haven't really touched much on my car in years, but managed to get this done in about a minute each.
Though, man, the prices have gone up. The rubber inserts were, despite being vastly different in size, both the same price: $13.19 each from the dealer
    😱🤨
But, still, would've been more to replace the whole blade, and, more crap in a landfill. Glad to be able to avoid that.

Very useful! I just paid $120 for two wiper blades for my Range Rover and the tree hugger in me hates having to throw the old ones out. I wished I would have seen this video earlier. The cost is not a concern, but the fact that I have to throw out the whole wiper when I could have just replaced the rubber part.

Instead of struggling with trying to get the ends in, just take a small eyeglass screwdriver and push it into the channel. I did both on my wife's car in about 10 mins. $29 for both at the dealer.

If you’re willing to replace the blade assembly Trico ExactFit and TricoUltra high-performance beam blade fit the arm connectors. The Prius Prime has the narrower 19mm slot the blade connector slides into which makes it hard to find compatible wiper blades.
