I encountered this problem yesterday and upon searching for various solutions online i came across ur video. I followed it and it worked although i tried a couple of consoles coz other consoles read my usb but in backup it read no space available, 0 kb. Yes. You need another ps5 for it to work. It wont work if you use a backup file from a ps4 because the ps5 wont recognize it.

Apologies for my late reply. You need to sign in to another PS4... Use your China pan account and I you have another account for another region. You can sign in as well. When done... Do make sure that you back up... And restore the backups to your China Console.

If you're not in China then it's not possible to create a new account because of the region... I would highly recommend you create a new account using a different console then you do the backup for both accounts...

I didn’t have a second console myself. I went to a gaming store… you just need to delete the users account as they watch you doing it… you also need to pay.. just discuss with them and come up with a conclusion for both parties. However, I saw another method that is very similar to this one but it doesn't require another Ps4 to do the back up. There are services available on the Chinese online store that provide the backing up service. After they finished backing up the account, they will email back the file. Then you just copy the file to the usb and do the restoring on your ps4. Could this method legitimately work?

if you have multiple accounts you want to be using on your new PS4 you need to log all of them in on another PS4 then backup, when restoring you will be able to use them all

It worked! I just made a UK PSN, uploaded that to my friends ps4 and followed the steps.
The first time I did it, my mate had a ps4 pro, I used my other mates normal ps4. so either that was the problem or it was my chinese account, I didn't sign in on that one, just starting a new account, avoid hassle

Add all accounts to the console you are backing up from and all accounts will be restored to your new console.

This is not region unlock method. This mearly restore your account. Yes, it will work ONLY with account that you back and restore. Shall you want to add another account, you have to this process again and again.

Reason i said this is not the unlock method because, for each account you want to sign in you have to make backup and restore, let say after you doing this then you want to register another account, you have to the same process again..so this just mearly bypass the lock not unlock.
Previously before 7.51, you have to hold left+triangle+L2+R2 and that method really unlock this as you can sign in whenever you need as normal ps4.
