Blackjack is a cruel mistress
They had no idea what they were doing. Take for instance at 30:57. This dude doubled on his first had which he had a 18. His second had he has two fours. The dealer has a 4 face up. He should have doubled down on the double fours instead of splitting, because he would have had an 18 on that double and the dealer would have busted. Instead he splits, and the dealer gets a 19. They were just throwing money away.
First hand he doubled the soft 14 vs. dealers 4, not terrible but it's a book hit. Second hand is a hit, not a split, once again not a horrible call but he's either on tilt, or he's counting cards imo, I'd have to analyze the whole thing. I've never heard him talk about counting.
@@east9292you're right about the first hand (A3 - he should've hit instead of doubled), but wrong about the second hand (44 - you should never double a 44, you should split when the dealer has a 5 or 6, hit on the rest, so he should've hit instead of split).

That dealer was smooth as hell, from the dealing to shuffling chips when taking your money.
This is the best dealer I have seen for some time. As an ex dealer myself, I can tell this guy takes pride in his work. Card placement, pace of the game and chip work is the best I have seen on any vid for a long time.

Realistic blackjack. Good content. Watching other CZcamsrs like mrhandpay makes you believe you can win every time you sit at the blackjack table bc he makes it look so easy when in reality this is how it plays out.

These guys aren’t playing it right. Betting the same amount every hand, you will lost almost everytime. Sometimes you have to bet big to recoup losses and get ahead. Scared money don’t make no money.
@@FitbitzI agree, house will always win like this. I usually take an "all in" approach at some point, leaving enough to double. Also at least some press when the count is high.

@@Sagittarius_AAA Cmon I'm a counter too but you already know the answer to this question. There are droves of people who play just to have fun. Of course playing without an edge means you lose in the long run, but the appeal of gambling is that you can win big (and lose big too) in the short-term.
As a counter you should know this. We experience gigantic upswings and downswings too.

4:25 - 11vA is not a double in an S17 game. Ended up costing you one unit.
7:30 - I can only assume in HL they SHOULD have surrender, 15v10 is a surrender. Half a unit. Same at 7:55. And again at 9:26. And 14:18. And 17:44. And 22:44 (but that one bought you a push...) And 25:06 (with $1,500 out). And 28:12. And 32:57. If they don't allow surrender, fucking shame on them for running a farce of a high limit room.
14:33 - 2,2 vs 2 in a game where you can double after splitting is a split. Which would have been resplit. Still lost the same 1 bet you would have otherwise though.
16:19 - A3v4 is not a double. (A6v4 is.) ...but oddly, that one saved you from a dealer 21.
22:18 - why face down on Aces, when they SHOULD be letting you resplit them if you got an additional one?...(apparently we see why later)
23:12 - A7v3 is a double. (but it ended up saving you from two pushes the way the cards fell.)
24:28 - 12v3 is a hit. (ended up not mattering this hand though.)
24:47- A3v3 is not a double (but still won)
26:02 - "Go to the El Cortez, you'll have better luck" - no, they hit soft 17 there. No thanks.
26:29 - owwww, the QhQh on a table that doesn't run Lucky Ladies...that'd be 200:1...
27:04 - WOOOOOW. AGAIN. QhQh.
29:43 - pathetic they aren't letting you resplit Aces in high limit.
30:56 - You know that's not a double and you know that's not a split. And you would have won had you not split!
33:24 - perfect chance for the "running to the ATM" meme IRL and you don't do it? And you would have won the hand if you did. At least you called it out after the fact.

@@degendalt You're pretty much the face of blackjack now - I wouldn't take the time to type all that out if I didn't want to see you do well. Admittedly, I'm kind of hoping that as THE guy people think of when they think blackjack now, that you might be able to use this to call out casinos with shitty rules (H17, no surrender, no resplitting Aces, etc...let alone the cancer that is 6:5) - with YOUR following, it might cause enough people to stop playing the crap rules to force some places to offer better. You legitimately might make blackjack better for all of us.

The automatic shuffler that hard rock uses rigs the game by clumping big cards and small cards. This makes it more likely you tie on a natural 20, and less likely for a dealer bust or for a double down to go your way. Aces are also shuffled away from big cards to reduce blackjack opportunities.

Some betting strategy would certainly be helpful. Just randomly placing bets is never gonna get you far in black jack. You say you want a win streak, but you don't bet like you're playing for a win streak. You're certainly not counting, so a betting strategy is required. Otherwise you're only gonna tread water.
