Putting roses and hydrangeas in thin plastic pots allows the freezing temperatures to freeze the roots. That’s why you’re losing them! They need thick pots like terracotta and then raise them off the ground and bunch them altogether close to the house for warmth and protection. Wrap them in fleece
The roses and hydrangeas this year will be going inside my unheated garage. Last year, the ones I lost were all planted in huge terracotta pots. This year I’m not taking any chances by leaving outside😅
I use inexpensive landscape fabric for the bottom of pots. I set the pot on the fabric and either trace a line around the bottom and cut the shape or just cut around the pot. It lasts for years and can be reused.
Your music is a loud make sure you turn it down a bit, keep up the good work 😊 There’s a product called gnatrol or mosquitoe bits to get rid of gnats ☝🏾
Sedums does not like fertilizing or too much moisture they are drought tolerant plants don’t over fertilize or water them, on the other hand hydrangeas love moisture the more the better but use thicker pots to over winter them
I use coffee filters in my pots and it works great.
That’s good to know. Thanks!
Thx for the warning -- I had to boost volume because she's practically whispering.

Nice job!
Thanks!
That other hydrangea with pink flowers looks is a Quick Fire Hydrangea. Really pretty lacey blooms.
It does sort of look like it:)
Did anyone else almost jump out of their skin when the music came on? 😳
Sorry, still learning how to edit my videos:)

Not a big no no. I always use coffee filters wether it is a small container or a big one. They prevent soil from leaking.

Why are you choosing to overwinter in a pot rather than the soil?
The plants that I currently have grown in pots all season will remain in their pots over the winter.

Thanks for letting me know! I’m new to this whole video editing thing. Still learning:)
