I have been saying the same things. His first few fights were with people who had a lot less reach and he still took a lot of shots. He got his ass kicked by Olivier and then by Reaves. The whole league is after him because of the way he came in. They are not gonna just let him walk in and take over so now he has a target on his back.
The kid is trying to make a name for himself. it’s pretty cool to see some of the similar type of players give him the opportunity to showcase his talents or maybe skills, whichever the proper term may be. But that hit was flat out dirty on Bastian. It was a dirty hit 40 years ago and will always be. He is much taller than most so he needs to be careful. no one wants to see someone injured on a dirty play. Now let’s see what skill set he brings moving forward.
He’s great for the game of hockey, one of the admirable things about the super stars like Gretzky, Crosby, Ovi, etc etc, is because they perform at the level they do while dodging and being challenged by dudes like Rempe. Not a lot of ppl seem to realize that aspect thought that was interesting
