given the (fairly) recent resurgence of undertale stuff here's an old cover i made of metal crusher (i actually uploaded this in november but it was unlisted until now)
Toby Fox probably used FL Studio or Cubase to make the Music. If you hear close enough, the noise "buzz" in the original is pitched to pretty much any key, while on the NES there are 16 Presets only. Also I don't think he used VRC6. If he used any extension, it probably be MMC5 for slight echoes.
Playing this next to the original, it sounds almost exactly the same. The only difference was this one feels like its either a bit slower or a bit faster.
The only thing that his different is the tempo it's a bit faster, and normally i think toby used a soundfont but it's impossible on DPCM. But the Lofi DPCM ? What is that?
the original was probably done in FL studio or something similar using a nes-style sound font. the samples i actually don't know the source of, someone on the famitracker forum years back provided me with them.
What version of Famitracker can I use to open the ftm? The latest version I have is v0.4.6 and when I try to open it a message pops up and says that I need to open the file in the newest version, and the newest version I could find is the one I currently have
famitracker. notes, commands and volume levels. i think there is a wiki that will teach you about famitracker commands. even i still don't know what some of them do
Hello Sean Davies. I wanted to ask if I could use this to make a Tetris version of this and upload it to youtube. I would be very happy to receive an answer.
What Mettaton sees when he plays his song.
lol
Basically.
so everything looks and sounds like an nes game to Mettaton?
@@carl_the_ Mettaton's first form does look a lot like a Nintendo cartridge.
2a03 mettaton
I hear literally no difference
@@jayzeablaze interesting
the song was made similarly to how this was, so it makes sense.
because the original soundtrack was literally chiptune
This is probs how Toby made the song LOL
Percussion
This sounds just like the original!! Good job!
@sevco ismailov Aha, no, I'm being sarcastic, I'm serious-
@sevco ismailov Yeah, I am. Now I can hear the difference. The channels are so loud, it drowns out the Lo-fi DCPM.
@sevco ismailov he’s literally using the same hardware (just emulated differently) that Toby did
@@G809 I believe Toby used FL Studio for all of his music in Undertale? It would be really cool if he used Famitracker too, though.
@@Spax_ he did use fl, but, he did use an NES soundchip emulator plugin
literal flawless replica
When you use a print command in computer science class
I hear no changes!
@@soundspark heh?
It's a little slower, that's all the difference.
(Also, you probably forgot you even commented this)
I think the original is VRC6 where it uses the extra channels for the orchestra hits.
i think it's probably made in FL studio or something using a NES-like sound font

Fl studio using the nes vst plugin
There are orchestral hits?
@@rodafy9110 It is, he used a duty cycle in NES VST
best cover of Metal Crusher ever.
MTT is here!!
Awesome cover!
Saludos, sigue subiendo FamiTracker. Nuevo suscriptor! :D

About .02% slower
There's a reason it sounds so simular
beautiful
Nice 2A03 cover of the song, and it sounds super close and faithful and perfectly completely identical to the original song!😄🤩😎👌
The only difference is the drum sample. Awesome.
Perfect
The Floppotron has competition I see....
FTM PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he was able to entirely remake Metal Crusher but I can’t even play the first 4 notes of Megalovania
keep working at it brother, you'll get there

Nah, Toby didn't use a Soundfont at all for this song, just Nes Vst 1.2
