[Pokémon Colosseum] Unused Battle Arena - Mt. Battle Lobby
Pokémon Colosseum has a couple of unused battle arenas, one of which being the Mt. Battle lobby area (either the initial lobby, or the rest houses between areas). Like the Lab exterior, this one is also re-used in Pokémon XD, for some of the tutorial battle sims in the Pokémon HQ Lab. I've staged a battle between Dakim and Venus to showcase it.

Pokémon Colosseum has a couple of unused battle arenas, one of which being the exterior of the Shadow Pokémon Lab. This arena was however eventually reused in Pokémon XD. I've staged a battle between Ein and Miror B. to showcase it.

I'm curious to learn what this is programmed with... So I can understand what the letters and the calls mean-
famitracker. notes, commands and volume levels. i think there is a wiki that will teach you about famitracker commands. even i still don't know what some of them do

This arena is actually used for the tutorial simulations in the Pokemon HQ Lab in XD. Pretty cool video though. It's entertaining to see NPCs fight each other.
oh, interesting. i guess this and the lab exterior were leftovers they decided to reuse in the next game. it's fun to watch the NPCs fight each other. i want to eventually find some way to do an automated stream that pits them all against each other like pimanrules's videos on gen 1 and gen 2. don't have the know-how for something like that though.

Every battle in Colosseum is stored in RAM - stuff like what trainer you battle, the background music, and obviously the battle arena. I just changed the battle arena IDs looking for interesting unused stuff and lo and behold I found some.

Playing this next to the original, it sounds almost exactly the same. The only difference was this one feels like its either a bit slower or a bit faster.

I wish I was good enough to get every goal and stat points in a solo run on every level. Some guy actually made achievements solely on doing that on RetroAchievements for the PS1 version. Needless to say I prefer the N64's set of achievements....
