that was a good interview Meg. i loved her insight into the different styles and she was smiling ear to ear watching the clip. the whole thing gave me a bit of New Hope in this new series. Maybe Headland will surprise us. i feel if she has a great crew around her working, the stunt guys, choreography, everyone we don't hear about......and everyone does they r jobs, it should be a great surprise. we will see soon enough. may the force be with ya Meg!!🎉
I'm looking forward to the Acolyte. Star Wars has a huge time line, dawn of the Jedi, Old Republic. It's interesting to explore new time periods & characters.
It was nice to see an actor, Diane, showing that their knowledge of SW is more than just for their role and more in depth and that they’ve been a fan since they were kids.

In some of the earlier High Republic content (the parts that take place 350 years before The Phantom Menace), there are two sisters who are Force-sensitive, one more than the other. The Jedi took the sister who was more Force-sensitive and trained her, leaving the other at home. The sister who was left at home became resentful of the Jedi and grew up to oppose them.
This to say, I wonder if Mae and Osha are both Force-sensitive but to such different degrees that the Jedi only took one of them.
I kind of dug "The Mother"...
all love, I have to take a break from watching. Ill be back in a few weeks. The reason is that I did not get the enjoyment out of Tales of the Empire because almost everything was in the previews. I want to be able to watch the Acolyte with out have already seen everything in the clips. I will catch up on everything after the season is over. Peace and love.
I think this show is about how the reigning Sith Lord is looking to recruit an apprentice with Mae being one of the candidates whom have to prove their worthiness by great feats like killing Jedi (and taking the lightsabers as proof of, also to bleed)
With the twins one is taken to be trained but fails/leaves the order. The other was rejected (not strong enough/ low medichlorian count or wrong temperament) and gets sent down a dark path

Big Star Wars fan. I loved the Mandalorian and Ashoka! I also happen to love martial arts based shows/movies. I never put two and two together about Diana Lee Inosanto being Bruce Lee’s granddaughter. That’s awesome.
She is Bruce Lee's God Daughter. She is Dan Inosantos daughter. It was great seeing her with a speaking role in The Mandalorian and Ashoka.

The prequels don't make sense. If the Sith have been extinct for a thousand years then WHY does Yoda say there is ALWAYS two, a master and an apprentice. Contradiction in storytelling but that's a George Lucas specialty. Darht Vader killed your father, i mean, he IS your father. There is another, i mean, Leia is your fucking twin. Hans shot first, i mean, Greedo shot first. Rediculous that so many "fans" blame Disney for retconning when George Lucas has been doing it since 19 fucking 80. SMH

But I have a complaint, same complaint as before but never seemed to be remedied, This vid shows how muffled your recording of your voice is in comparison to Diana's. Your mic is set to such a low level and so bassed up it almost sounds as if you have a pillow over it. I love your vids but please adjust the recording levels.

Say what you want about The Acolyte, but it's starting to look good. I absolutely hate the showrunner for the things she said, and I was very sceptical of this show at first (some would say I was a hater), but now I have to admit that I am very, very excited. It looks visually stunning, and I hope the story will be dope too, not too woke.
There was a time when filming women in trousers/pants was considered woke & blasphemous. If you just take content for as it is instead of culture war you’ll find life more enjoyable. I’m agnostic and enjoy Passion of the Christ the same way I enjoy Star Wars. Entertainment
The show runner should be a reason WHY this is going to be good. Go watch her other projects, very good. More thought provoking than anything Dave or Jon or George ever did - she makes you think!

Well, maybe she's a good director, I haven't watched any of her movies. My dislike for her is not based on whether she is good at her job or not, but rather because of her statements and comments about Star Wars and George Lucas. She simply doesn't respect or understand the source material she's based on. It seems to me that she unnecessarily pushes her ideologies and views, all her queerness, into Star Wars. But as I wrote above, after the recent trailers I became hopeful that Mrs. Headland would prove her worth

Ok so there are gonna be multiple seasons of this show and so i would love if the final season ends with the actual sith lord (maybe it's hinted that the sith lord is following them and tracking their movements) finding out that these cultists believe themselves to be the true sith and just comes in and begins to slaughter them leaving one or two survivors just to leave the message that they aren't sith, aren't strong enough to be sith and never would be.
There will be this one season. Iger knows it’s going to bomb and ihas already cancelled any thought of another season.

That the Acolyte is so far removed from the Skywalker Saga is what excites me the most about this series.

It just may be a great story, AND fly in the face of prequel canon at the same time. I still have ZERO interest in this because of the rumors of how it diminishes the character of Yoda, and the Order, in general. It's reminding me of the Obi-Wan show...Great, if you aren't paying attention to the larger story!

George has gone back and back tracked on alot of things though, also they can still stay true to that by having the sith murder everyone ofc or by having Sol not snitch due to his feelings for his apprentice it's many ways they could have covered this up

Sounds like more plot holes because they wanted a red Sith lightsaber fighting Jedi simply because it's cool like a shoehorned in Vader vs Obi rematch that didn't make sense story-wise ... but it was indeed cool. If it's just a fallen Jedi that somehow figured out how to bleed their crystal it might make sense if done well. A rando dark side cultist more powerful than about a dozen Jedi that figured out how to make a lightsaber and use Sith techniques to bleed it red sounds like early disney star wars derpy.
Awesome Sith vs Sith and Sith vs Jedi battles belong in the Old Republic era.
It does sound like they put thought into this series and have learned from how awful the sequels stories were so I'm still cautiously hopeful this show will be good Star Wars and not just flashy trash like the sequels and Rebel Moon.

And given Disney I believe owns all the intellectual copyrights from that era, they can pull whatever they want to incorporate in their new stories. It's only a matter of time before Darth Revan makes his debut.

They keep giving everyone and their mama they're own series get away from the Skywalkers and Palpatines already, Go to either the future with a entirely new IP or the past with the Old Republic. Preferably Old Republic there's plenty of lore to build on there that will last decades I want to see Revan, Nihilus, Malgus, Vitiate everyone with their own saga

I'm just ready for Hollywood to realize we like the good guys to be good and the bad guys to be bad. We'll see. Did the twins have to have the same hair style? Anyway, the visuals look more like Andor type to me which were grounded and impressive. I also cannot overlook that music and emotional connection are at the core of enjoying the Star Wars experience. I hope both are well placed in this show.

Why does star wars have to be 100% driven by women using femalen martial arts techniques
1) Martial arts, not Marshall. 2) Martial arts are designed for effectiveness in combat, not around genitals. The techniques are the same regardless of the person’s sex. That’s like asking why they use the female alphabet or fly their planes in female formation. That literally isn’t a thing and makes zero sense.
