- My third ebike ride was on November 27, 2021, tooling around Lexington into Waltham, MA on my R&M Homage HS. There are a lot of interesting moments during this ride, especially how I found myself on RT 2 having to really push myself to go fast.

Can you lose weight and get fit while riding an e-bike? That is what this video and upcoming videos will be all about. I currently weigh 262.2 pounds right before I went on my first R&M Homage 22-mile ride on November 24, 2021. I would love to hear from you in the comments plus I’ll do my best to answer any questions.

I can see that it is quite dangerous with you in America cycling on the road. That is not the case in the Netherlands. We have bicycle paths located next to the roads throughout the country. The infrastructure for cyclists is the best in the world.
Yes, I’ve been to the Nederland’s a couple of times and LOVED riding a bike on the bike “highways”. In most of my videos I refer to my time in the Nederland’s and hope some day in the United States we take bike infrastructure as seriously as the Nederland’s and Denmark.
Recently in my USA town a cyclist was struck from behind and killed by a hit and run driver. He was a father with 10 children .

You’re very lucky where you live. Where I live in UK protected bike infrastructure on roads is few and far between outside of London and even then not all roads. Often it’s shared paths with pedestrians, some of whom walk into the bike lanes. Still, fun to find new paths and tracks where I can cycle where I live, but often have to use the bell to alert pedestrians I am there and they move out of the way.

I'm assuming the hills are deceptively steep? It's hard to tell from the video. I've just ordered a multicharger dual battery HS also with the rohloff. I'm like a kid who cant wait for Christmas, it will be built in 12 weeks time. I'm consuming all the riese & muller content on CZcams to try pass the time lol.

@@clawdawg7248 I've had mine for a few weeks now, Absolutely love it. with the winter months coming up a tip would be to order the additional light bracket so the headlight is in a more useful position. It comes with the light on the front of the handlebar. I had to order a additional bracket from R&M to mount it to the underside of the front luggage carrier. Otherwise when it is on the handle bar, half the beam is obscured
by the front bag.
@@ThePhilff Thanks. I ordered mine with the front cargo bag. When configured with the bag the light is installed on the front of the cargo rack as opposed to the handlebar.

some of those cars seem to be incredibly close....just horrible the lack of respect for cyclist, here in Texas in early June 2024 a guy ran over a group of cyclist in broad daylight and then ran over the guy pinned under his car twice, when he attempted to take off... they captured him (drunk and more than double the legal limit in broad daylight)... be safe out there... BEAUTIFUL BIKE
I’ve seen other people use the front bag the other way around so zips face you makes it easier? Maybe
I’ll see if I can rotate the bag. It’s suppose to be waterproof so maybe that’s why the zippers are are to open and close?

Do they not have careless driving laws where you are? A number of close passes in this video.
Mirror positioning is annoying on the swept back bars. The only thing I can think of is to angle it so it underneath your left arm. But I attach mine to the end of my right handlebar (because I am here in the UK) and secure it with an allen key.
Wondering if you can change the pedal assist setting on the fly as you climb up a hill? Sounds like the Bosch motor Performance line Gen 4 is really quiet. I also have the same idea where car charging station should allow charging for eBikes. Still debating whether I should get a superdelite or Homage. Thank you for the video.
I test rode the SuperDelite and Homage back to back; I choose the Homage HS Dual Battery with Rohloff e14. I was lucky Seacoast Ebike had so many Riese & Muller’s in stock.The Rohloff e14 can shift on the fly uphill but you have to do it on the upswing with the least amount of friction. I LOVE the Rohloff e14!! 🥰
Does your Homage have swept back handlebars? I’m looking for eBike with cruiser type bars.
The Homage has the comfort kit with swept back handlebars plus dropper seat post. Very comfortable and relaxing sitting position.
video is just okay for a newbie... so i appreciate it. try learning how to pedal without rocking your shoulders left to right it will help you hold a line better and improve video quality.
