- After I did my Marvel logo histories, I decided to take 27 DC-related logo combos (14 from movies, 6 from TV shows, and 7 from video games) and put them in order from earliest to latest. Please note that I used everything I could find. This video was made with iMovie.

1:53 The Superman Returns variant is probably the most creative logo of the DC Comics live action logo bunch.
The original cinematic logo from 2005 is the best one. It doesn't feel flashy or overstays its welcome. It's vague and mysterious, with a few comic images appearing out of the shadows. It was a great counterpoint to Marvel's flashy flip-page logo.

I love the changing logos of WB/DC based on the movie. Disney has always done it, and i think it's great all the studios are doing it. It sets the mood. I hope they continue.
Me personally I like the older DC movie logos better. Kinda had the comic book theme that Marvel has at the beginning of their movies. Wish they kept it that way. New logo is kinda plain

thats what im saying. The old logo from the Nolan days was way better with how they showed glimpses from the actual comics. THey should totally go back to that.

I like how they give different styles to each opening depending on the movie. For example with Batman, they make it more dark (obviously).

never understood why they said Vertigo instead of DC for that 2005 Constantine movie. Wasn't he a regular in the DC universe at that point? Im not super familiar with Hellblazer comics history but I thought his vertigo days was more of a 90s thing. And even still he showed up in the DC universe despite that. His first appearance was in Swamp thing which was not a Vertigo title. Also the DC logo from the Nolan days was a lot cooler than the current one. And I like how it showed actual glimpses of the comics kind of like what Marvel does. They should totally go back to that.
Joshcoshbagosh They shifted him to Vertigo due to the highly mature content of the comics which would have accidently caused children to read them even though DC and Marvel comics in general are not kid-friendly. He was made a regular again after the New 52 reboot following Flashpoint. And Swamp Thing was also moved to Vertigo.

Okay DC is good at comic books and cartoons and some TV shows Marvel is good at big screen movies okay at small screen TV shows bad at comics for the most part and there cartoons are meh so ya tbh I could care less who's better I love them both Marvel and DC are like the yin and yang DC is the darker side of marvel more R rated kinda more for adults and Marvel is more kid like childish more for kids I like marvel with there funny humorous jokes and stuff but like DC more gore and darker tones so to me they both have there great quality :)
