Welcome back and glad that the issues were solved that kept you off the channel. Several of us were very disappointed with your absence and voted with our money and went to the competition. I will be putting in an order and asking our group/chapter to watch and buy from airgun depot. I hope to see you again soon. So it has been a minute and it seems that the competition has picked up quality and lower overall. So maybe top 5 pcp under $350 then $500. Then top 5 ambidextrous guns in pcp, springer and vortex piston. Then lefty. And updat on pellets /slugs. There are about 8 topics that need to be done yearly and some every 3 month. And of course shot show/new releases. And maybe spotlight on competition shooters guns and mods and maybe air gun depot running sales to mirror the videos any maybe a bloopers reel. Got to go to the store now! Welcome back

Commonly referred to as bear trapping. And not just bad for the gun can take chunks of you off! Most but not all manufacturers have an antibes trapping mechanism. Won't allow the release of the spring/ram so the barrel won't violently swing to the closed position with great force and speed. All bad to be in the way of that especially if you have fi ger in the loading port or breach of the gun.

Tank manufactures including the carbon wrapped one she had in the video (Luxfer) advise filling tanks at (100 BARS) 1500 psi per minute. As she said, the heat, but also the shock of fast filling is not good for components. To test this theory, keep filling the tanks at a fast rate. When the tank explodes, then problem solved. No more fast fills for you.

Additionally this could be placed on a loop format to be distributed to the same big box outdoor sporting goods stores that can be placed on the floor next to the rack of airguns. To play continuously, accompanied by a stack of cards with this information printed on one side and safety information on the other side.

  • @senatorjosephmccarthy2720

  • @loc4725
    @loc4725 Před 2 lety +4

#6 Never store a PCP with less than minimum air pressure in the tank. The seals need it to remain effective.
#7 On the other hand never store CO2 guns with a bulb still in place. Newer seals deform under pressure over time and will stay that way, causing leaks the next time you insert a new bulb.
#8 Never use a brass barrel brush to clean the barrel of an airgun. They don't have the same lead fouling issues that firearms have and the rifling tends to be much shallower and therefore easier to damage or even scrape away.
#9 *Never* pull the trigger on a cocked, broken open break barrel. It is almost guaranteed that you'll end up with a bent barrel.

In No. 3, the comment was made that detergent is damaging to the Orings and seals. I believe this is incorrect. I wonder if what was intended was to reference solvents rather than detergents. Solvents are definitely damaging. The function of a detergent in an oil is to keep dirt in suspension rather than have it precipitate out. This makes a lot of sense in an automobile, which BTW contain a lot of seals. The presence of detergent around any firearm seems out of place, and nothing more. In all my travels around air gun stuff, I've never heard anything negative about detergents other than it is unnecessary. Not very long ago, I saw or heard something that mentioned, in passing, that Pellgun oil contains detergent. I don't remember where this was, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I use only synthetic motor oil in my air guns.

Even getting WD40 into the piston's chamber of a break barrel gun can cause dieseling. Even though WD40 is not flammable, it's still combustible.
Even though I didn't get any WD40 near the piston chamber of my break barrel when I was 14 years old (A long, long time ago!), when I cleaned the gun, when I fired the gun, the rapport it gave even bought my mother outside to see what had happened ;-))...
Another thing you shouldn't really do, is to is to chip off some of a red headed non safety match and glue it in the pellets hollow. Though it never affected the gun, at night, it made a great flash and bang when it hit a solid target ;-))...

There are just SO many things a 14 year old "shouldn't" do! ;-)
I don't have enough fingers for this.

So,am I supposed to put the vaporub in the skirt, and/or then put the end of the kitchen match in it?...

If you have a break barrel and the barrel is not closed, NEVER pull the trigger.
A good gun has a safety that prevents it, guns without will smash close so fast it will bend the barrel.

How about never underestimate the importance of safety rule #2 know where your shot is going to stop. I've seen people who normally shoot firearms take it a bit lightly.
