Metallica is one of the only bands who does anything like this where they take old shows and just let us see them for free. Metallica really cares about their fans❤️
i think it's also worth mentioning how expansive recording every show like they do is
I got these for free on napstar lol
juriaan13 oh no Lars is gonna be mad about this
TinyViking right?
juriaan13 Aw man, I forgot about Napster. Hahah
WOW, I'm impressed that Metallica is still doing this and being SO generous, picking shows from their vaults from all eras, polishing them and just giving them to us. Other bands have tried similar things but as fas as I know no one has come close to what Metallica has done. A BIG THANK YOU.
We don't have shows only from MoP and RTL era
Phish has done just as many.
Metallica Mondays has become a tradition for me!
I was lucky enough to watch here their concert at Seattle 1983 a couple of weeks ago 🤘
seriously! I was there, and am still recovering from the whiplash from the Big 4 that night. :) 2011 I had a cheap entry level Samsung Galaxy phone, so I only have a couple of short grainy clips of the show from my bleacher level seats at the left field. This is an awesome MetallitreaT!
Oh nice, a Big 4 show! Featuring an Overkill performance with the ridiculously stacked line-up of Kerry King, Dave Lombardo, Gary Holt, David Ellefson, Chris Broderick, Shawn Drover, Scott Ian, Rob Caggiano, Frank Bello, Charlie Benante, and Joey Belladonna. :D
i didn't know that some people make fan accounts from metallica on CZcams. So cool . And your channel i love it.❤
Never saw an actual Big 4 show in person, but the DVD is badass !! Anthrax comes out first and they just rip to fucking shreds !! Thought they had the best set of the day ...
Joey Belladona is only big 4 member that not playing instrument
Anthrax members' names sound like the sixth Mafia family
Where is Dave?
2:01:46 when your team is losing but then your best player finally gets back in
How about considering Moscow '91? I have yet to meet anyone who didn't get a kick out of watching this performance. 👊
I've just read from someone else that master tapes are lost from that show so we only have the official video "For Those About to Rock: Monsters in Moscow" to watch.
Perfect performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best shows they ever gave. Got to take into consideration the Moscow events at that time too.
Pretty sure the Moscow 91 show was the first live Metallica (albeit partial) to be mass marketed in the United States, I know Cliff em all came out long before, but most of that was boots, but yeah that Moscow sky all gray and foreboding, and the Russian metalheads like rabid dogs for a full day of metal/hard rock
Short show Moscow? I think.... Only a few musics i think...
Orion, then One, into Master, followed by Blackened?!?!
That’s a helluva Big 4 right there!
That's what I just thought...i forgot they did this when I was there
And Sanitarium before
In my humble opinion, the whole set list is complete brilliance from start to finish.
That Overkill moment where all drummers want to play has to be one of music’s most epic moments!!!!! Man!!!!! So good!!!!!
I love all the guys who played here. But that was a terrible cover. 🤕
Saw this live at 15 years old, now I’m 24 and still the best moment of my life
YEAH BUDDY!METALLICA 4 LIFE
1:40:13 an example how the lead guitar can calm the chaos and really bring tears to people eyes. What I mean that is when people come to concerts like Metallica’s they have aggression and after they let it out and hear Kirk play this emotions are cleanse of all hate. Bravo Metallica. This is what I love about you.
If you’re having a bad Monday, Metallica is here go make it better 🤘
I agree with you on that one. Metallica rocks. Hey, Black Bear 345, what part of Harlan County,Ky are you from? I’m from Harlan County Kentucky myself. I grew up in Baxter over on Pine Mountain
Karen Howard Smith I’m from AZ 😳
BlackBear345 I’m so sorry about that. My bad. When I saw your BlackBear345 I thought that you where from Harlan County Kentucky. Again, I apologize. Cause I’m from Harlan County Kentucky and what threw me off was the word BlackBear. Black Bear ( well actually Black Bears is my hometown and my home country mascot is called Black Bears. The whole teams name is Harlan County Black Bears. When I saw that thought that you were a fan of the Black Bears. That’s why I asked you what part of Harlan County where you’re from. But since you are from AZ i feel kind of dumb asking you that.
Tuesday man!

Cyanide, Orion, and All Nightmare Long in one Setlist.
Plus, Overkill with some of the Big 4 members.

Ok do one now. 😂🍻

Dont forget that Rob played on Jaco Pastorius
famous 1962 Jazz bass "Bass of Doom" durning For Whom the Bell Tolls
, second song in the set!
I hope we got some really nice shots during that song of the bass and Rob's amazing playing! (BASS GUITAR VOLUME TO THE MAX PLEASE SOUND ENGINEER!!)
Hell yeah I was at this show. First time I ever saw Metallica and with the rest of the Big 4 too. Hell of a show
I was at this show too, I sat in the upper deck along the left field line. My highlights from the night were Bells, Lightning, Fade and Nightmare. Oh, and Orion kicked ass too!
Lucky Bastard ,Very cool.
Me too I was by one of the mosh pits to the right when they center the camera at the stage...i was tore up that day
Big 4?
I'll show you a BIG 4
And I'll also show you a "HELL of a show"...Quite soon.
AND YOU
Are gonna come crumblin down
Seen the boys 11 times. Never got a chance to catch the any of the big 4 shows. Will never forgive myself. Can’t wait to watch this today.
Wish I can see them atleast once ahah
i saw them in gothenburg with straw and ctulu:D
Necro Keep hope alive, brother. Anthrax is my second favorite band, and it took me 30 years to finally see them.
Wow. Shows not even finished and I feel worse for missing them now more than ever. Incredible show, and they still haven’t played Battery. My all time fave.
I can’t imagine my life without Metallica mondays. I wonder how i lived without it 🤘🏼
hope they do it forever. They pick killer shows
@@johnnyafrica631 Unfortunately last weeks Metallica Monday was the last one

I'm 43 and I've been to hundreds of shows between playing or going to them. I was at this show and it was by far 1 of the greatest concert experiences of my life
This was one of the best shows I have ever been to.. the first time I got to see Metallica live.. Yankee stadium was rocking!!!
I was there! The fucking guitar tones were so on point that night! Amazing to relive it now!
It's a rare experience to see these bands on the same bill, so it's difficult to compare unless you'd attended a Big 4 show. I had seen Metallica so many times that I thought I would bounce early and beat the traffic. It ended up being crystal clear that Metallica were head and shoulders above the other bands on the bill (and I love the other three, immensely), but this night I realized they were the best live band I had ever seen, no contest, stole the show with ease.
YES!!! That is the show I want to see! Thanks for putting the Yankee Stadium show.
I’m grateful I caught the Indio Big 4 show earlier in the year and got to see Jeff’s final live performance.
Never went to see Slayer again on purpose.
Last memory was with Jeff on stage.
RIP
Was a great show !
Their music saved my life when I was 17. 23yrs later I haven’t forgotten I love Metallica.
What happened to you, they have big influence on me too since 1995
@@InfamousB9 Take notice how they didn’t respond….
@@Terp311 Yeah,well can't do nothing about that
2:01:43 gives me chills, metal kings know who the true metal king on drums
Nice to see the crowd actually enjoying the show...rather than recording with smart phones...ahhh the good ol days! M4ever
Yes but this was in 2011 when that was a big thing though!
Ok, I understand it's meaningless to ask for particular shows here but it's soon 25 years since Donington 1995 show. I remember the guitar sound was so different and tight that night, wish I could see the whole show with good sound! Hoping for the higher powers:))
yes please! was at that myself.
@@lesterunwin no way. That was back in the day when I started getting into metal. I saw Metallica for the first time in 96.i watched the headbangers ball Donnington 95 coverage 6 million times. You got to see machine head, slayer, skid row, white zombie, therapy, corrosion, machine head machine head machine head then Metallica I'm so jealous. Good for you man that's sick
I've seen them about 20 times and was hoping at least one of the gigs I was at would be shown, Donington 95 was the first time, Fingers crossed!

This performance of This Overkill is one of the greatest moments of heavy metal of all time! I was waiting for proshot of this for almost 10 years!
My favorite show I’ve ever been to.
The night Dave Lombardo almost broke Lars' drum kit.
Why?
@@ferd1572 did you watched the whole video 'till the end?

Dave saw Lars hitting double bass in fade to black and ride the lightning and said: hold my beer hahahaha.
this is ELECTRIFYING!!! CANNOT wait to see you guys live again when this pandemic is over 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I went to this concert when I was 12 years old. Drove with my dad in his car all the way down, hopped on a train to the Bronx, and then walked the remainder. Enjoyed 4 incredible bands playing a hell of a show with a hell of a finale. Probably the most memorable thing that's ever happened to me by far.
22 Thank you's for doing this 22 times now Lars. Week in and week out...for 22 weeks! It's one of the few anchors I've had for the year 2020. Formally requesting San Diego August 6 2017 at PETCO. A GREAT night that SHOOK the city of San Diego!
James has a good night, Metallica has a good night. That's how it goes.... classic Metallica
Incredible show! Ty so much for putting it up here for us!!!
I never get tired of watching their shows. The S&M performances and their live performance from the Through The Never movie are some of the most solid live performances I’ve ever heard. Both in performance and production value.
These guys are simply legendary…. Their songs are timeless….🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
I was at this show and it was my second time seeing them. I am so happy about this
Watching Lars change the speed like 10 times throughout fuel gives me hope.
It gives me hope to die crushed by a bus going 60mph honestly
Yet he’s still up there instead of you.
@@Cknoell04 burnnn
It must be frustrating for the other band members. Lucky he's a founding member because if he wasn't, he would have been booted out well before the recording of St Anger.
I listened to the track without watching the video. Could you please give me the time marks where he switches tempos? Sure he is the worst drummer of the ones pounding the skins during the Big 4 shows but hating on him just for the sake of hating is becoming kind of trite
It was Massive Privilege to be there. My first and only Rock concert wit my best friend. Born & Raised in the Boogie Down Bronx as a Yankee & Metallica fan. A day I will never forget. Thank you Metallica🙏🤘😈🤘🗽❣
I could listen to a different live Metallica CZcams every single day and each one sounds better than the last one. Thanks guys!!!

they played perfect that night.........just unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still can't believe I didn't go to this show
Was there a reason you could not go?
Amazing night, I was front row in front of Robert. Scored a Kirk pick, a Gary Holt pick and even Robert threw some out and hit me in the face with one. Almost went home with a beach ball too, gave it a kid from the Bronx that was there by himself.
These guys have never ceased of doing big things

All Nightmare Long
Luck runs out
Crawl from the wreckage one more time
Horrific memory twists the mind
Dark, rutted (rugged?), cold and hard to turn
Path of destruction, feel it burn
Still life
Incarnation
Still life
Infamy
Hallucination
Heresy
Still you run
What's to come?
What's to be?
'Cause we'll hunt you down without mercy
Hunt you down all nightmare long
Feel us breathe upon your face
Feel our shift, every move we trace
Hunt you down without mercy
Hunt you down all nightmare long, yeah
Luck runs...
And you crawl out again
But your luck runs out
Luck runs out
The light that is not light is here
To flush you out with your own fear
You hide, you hide
But will be found
Release your grip without a sound
Still life
Immolation
Still life
Infamy
Hallucination
Heresy
Still you run
What's to come?
What's to be?
'Cause we'll hunt you down without mercy
Hunt you down all nightmare long
Feel us breathe upon your face
Feel our shift, every move we trace
Hunt you down without mercy
Hunt you down all nightmare long, yeah
Luck runs...
And you crawl out again
But your luck runs out
Then you crawl back in
Into your obsession
Never to return
This is your confession
Hunt you down without mercy
Hunt you down all nightmare long
Feel us breathe upon your face
Feel our shift, every move we trace
Hunt you down without mercy
Hunt you down all nightmare long, yeah
Luck runs...
And you crawl out again
But your luck runs out
This concert was so cool - The wife and I went all the way from Denmark to see this show and it brings back good old memories - was so lucky to get the "Metallica Beach Ball" as an souvenir home from the show - Metallica rocks - Thanks Lars & Co.
This show holds such a special place in my heart
Why the hell are there any dislikes? The show didn't even started....
Always haters
Los pinches haters ya sabes, misery always wants company :(
Rob is the man! He holds it down WTF 🤘
Lars, maybe
@@albertobg5998 If it wasn't for Lars, there would be no Metallica, what ya talking about?
Wow. Lars is killing it. Unusual. The double kick on one was way too on point for him.
The recorded quality has the kick eq’d properly. With out the high end it doesn’t cut the the mix
Love Metallica. But Lars here is over playing and really simplified alot of the parts of songs live. And tempo is up & down. Lars from 80's & 90's had a fire lit under his ass, and cared more about his playing in the studio and how he sounded live. But I give it to him nowadays he is more in the pocket with the tempo, but way less technical. Better than over playing and out of tempo tho
Fade was amazing with the acoustic!! I don't think I've seen y'all do that before. Thanks so much for doing Metallica Mondays we all loved it

Still Love watching this concert!! My first Metallica show I ever went to!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Amazing show, I was there with my old friend John (R.I.P.). All the bands were excellent, but Metallica has that raw energy that you can just feel in the air when you're there. Good times. I hope to bring my new friend to see them whenever (if ever) this pandemic ends.
MY FIRST METAL CONCERT! I WAS 16. AMAZING DAY...will always remember when lombardo went like 30 seconds with his double bass only on angel of death for the slayer set. was godly
Lars should do that in the double kick solo section of Fight Fire With Fire.
It is Tuesday morning again...Jesus time is flying by....I put my work clothes ( my pajamas) and my work shoes ( my socks) and ready to rock...for some reason my neighbors always going for a long walk...:)
Man, I will never forget being there that day. I skipped my classes and then wore my tee from that night to class. My professor was mad I didn't tell her that's why I was skilling class. "I'll never give you a hard time for appreciating art and your passions. Just tell me next time." From then on, she would let me miss classes if I was going to a show, as long as I wore the tee from that show the next class. \m/
This show was ---ing awesome I wish I could go back in time.
