In this video, we do a solo survival no food, no water, no shelter challenge. As it is the wet season here in Indonesia now I wanted to make a survival shelter that is completely waterproof.

at 3:50 those long skinny leaves are basically made for water proof shelter. the leaves are shapes in a way that lets water run to the tips of them, and the base of all the leaves meet at a single point. basically all you need to do is chop them off from where they sprout from the branch, place them on your shelter (with the step facing up) tie them to the roof from bottom to top close together and you have essentially a fully rain proof shelter. i see these trees in so many of your videos but never see you utilize them.

I only started watching this channel and I love it and it gave me a good idea for a couple survival camp it seems fun to do I’m going to see if I can get my friends to do with me because it does put things in perspective of what we got and stuff like that

Im learning a lot from this, the only thing i can contribute is you should start you're bannana leaf shingles at the bottom and work your way up so they are overlaped that way the water rolls down and over onto the next one all the way down

I miss home and doing “fun” survival things like this. Having a career and then taking a vacation to be a kid again is the most epic way of actually living. It brings back memories as a kid without the CZcams stuff. Good job brothah and your positive attitude is what makes your channel awesome.
Me and my cousins we actually survived not for a whole night though because my nana said we couldn’t sleep outside but we were in the back and front yard and we have actually filtered water and found food we did try to kill a snake though but we weren’t aloud and we also made a shelter too

I've spent years telling my family and closest friends that I want to live my life like this, just exploring trying to be completely primitive and depriving my mind and body from this societal world and living for the simplest things of life, hopefully I get to do that in my life 👍 try and get a polarised lense to use for the fishing shots since the fish would show up a lot better
Me and my cousins actually do play survival and when it rains we filter the water build shelter and find food but I am 13 and my cousins are 11 and 8 but we actually have wanted to find real food but we never get to though but one time we did try to kill a snake but my aunt saw us and she said don’t do that we were sad because we made a spear to kill it with and yeah but it’s overall really fun if it rains at your house or where you live you could try it but if you don’t want to find food you could always eat food before but you should try it it’s so so so fun 🤩

But I just thought it could of be lino because it’s some what sturdy enough to stay together after travelling through the ocean with a bunch of junk, and they do come in an arrangement of different colours and patterns, to me it looks like a geometric kinda pattern. But yet again, could be a vinyl type of material that do have a map patterns on it, I guess it’s a mystery that FD would know lol 😂
This dude makes this look so enjoyable (which it truly looks like it is for him). He’s essentially doing the same thing Bear Grylls and Les Stroud did on their shows, but without any of the dramatic life or death sequences. Legend.
