I started my career with management consulting at the age of 21, later did BCG for 2 years, gained the benefit of learning, community, and network, and chose to move out.
Today, more than 12 BCG, Mckinsey Partners have taught at my venture Global Governance Initiative, including Janmejaya Sinha (BCG India Chairman), Arun Maira (previous BCG Chairman), and Martin Reeves (BCG Global Chairman, Henderson Institute). Their mini-series is also on our GGI YT channel. Few of these folks have been on our PODCAST on this channel too.
While consulting may not be for everyone, you can make some lifelong bonds. You can choose Policy Consulting and Social Impact Consulting too. Here's a link to our GGI Alternative to International MPP Program for such roles- www.globalgovernanceinitiative.org/ggipolicyscholarsprogram
There's also a link to all those from GGI who have gotten top jobs- czcams.com/video/0XC2VXBF29g/video.html

I guess the solution lies in the minimalistic life all the corpor@te world just want you to spend heavily so you are always busy paying emi like |phone a tag is associated with it. It's the society which has attached value and society comprises of all of us if we don't then there will not be value of that product.
A case which I would like to discuss once cig@rette company wanted to sell products to Women but they were not able to do that so they attached an unconscious desire of freedom with smoking see how foolish is this a person will get c@ncer if he/she smokes they will go to any extent to pursue their product giving importance to ur life so u have to be self aware and question urself or have good critical thinking are they fooling me or not.
Most of ur money would be saved and u can afford a simple job that has work life balance.

    Dear madam ,
I am Shirsha , currently I am in the final year ( 10th Semester ) of BALLB ( Hons. ) of a reputed law school & also have a Certificate in Information Technology, Consumer protection and Gandhian Studies from IGNOU . I interned in several places like the High Court of Calcutta , Goonj ( N.G.O ) , Victor Moses etc . Last month I was really influenced by Mr. Parth Bhat whom I have first seen in my Senior Associate's screen in a meeting. Further I researched and got to know that he is a lawyer working in BCG now . I really feel lawyers can make a lot in the Public Policy domain , as if we even see our constitution it is a paradise of lawyers . Can you guide me and several law students who are really keen to join the public policy domain ?
    Thanks in anticipation

I agree that when you have a job you work only in the job hours and working extra should be either compensated or if you are not okay with long working hours you can deny. Though I completely disagree with you saying that a person should not work long hours. It becomes very necessary to work long hours when you want to build something new or when you are very passionate towards what you want to do. There are different priorities for different people, some love their work more than anybody else. So, yes I am completely for working long hours if it is necessary.
