    Thanks so much for the great advice! I watched you on Think Media and immediately looked you up. I am about to launch my own channel and I’m having the hardest time thinking of a name for it. That’s the only thing keeping me from launching. I’m known for being funny and liking weird things and trying them out. My mom used to say that I “marched to the beat of my own drum.” The videos I’ve made are about creative no build camper van set ups that have a theme. I had no idea that other women my age are out there in the world living in their car or van and traveling all over the place BY CHOICE! There are many women who are doing the same, but they had no choice. Then there are the women who do this part time for fun. I stumbled upon this whole thing by accident and I can’t believe there is such a huge community of middle aged and senior women traveling all by themselves.

    How can I find time to build a business? I have a full time job, a part time job, 3 kids, and not much margin.
    I feel that’s the biggest struggle.

    • @morgangreat
      @morgangreat Před měsícem +1

      The problem is that you keep seeing it as a problem instead of seeing it as an opportunity.
      Reframe your mind. Renew your perspective.
      Don't say that's a challenge, say it's an opportunity.
      All you need is to squeeze in one hour daily and start working towards your dream business. One focused hour a day is seven focused hours a week.
      That's enough to create your social media pages, build a landing page and figure out what type of content you want to create.
      Then... 7 focused hour another week is enough to get some other important stuff rolling.
      You don't need all the time in the world to start a business, you just need to create the time and really stop making excuses because excuses are usually our own downfall

    • @AndreSjoberg
      @AndreSjoberg Před 23 dny

      what @morgangreat said, as well as this:
      - aknowledge it will take time, and be at piece with that, don’t look for results in a week or a month, be prepared for a couple of years of daily putting in that 30 minutes to an hour
      - prioritize: take a loooong hard look at what you’re time is spent on. is there *anything* you spend time on that you *could* cut, trim down, shave of a bit, ignore completely.
      - create routines to do things more effectively if possible: if food is bought 2 or 3 times a week look at doing bigger purchase runs, plan more and shop less frequently, and suddenly and hour or two is saved each week, plan other weekly activities on specific days to eliminate always «being behind schedule» and jumping on things and instead have those activities planned out in advance, and it might open up dedicated days or hours pr day to use for developing the business.
      - be consistent: even if it’s only 15 minutes one day, and maybe an hour the next day, doing it *every day* helps staying focused and on point, even if the amount of time available changes from day to day.
      - keep a «todo» list and keep adding to it, and use 10-15 minutes each week to prioritize that list, change the order of things as needs change, always add to it, and remove tasks you thought where important when entering them but later found to be not so important.
      - level up the todo-list to 3 lists:
      * must do pretty soon
      * should do sometime later (things that aren’t time critical
      * want to do (your wishlist, where you put everything you want to remember that doesn’t go into the first 2 lists)
      the weekly review of these lists, and moving a small amount into the «must do» list to keep things focused is key.
      if something is in your «must do» list for weeks on end move it back to your «should do» list, and new the «must do» focused on a weeks worth of tasks approximately, and adjust the amount of tasks in the must do list as hou learn what your capacity is.
      If you want to build business hard enough these tips will get you on the way if you feel you can stay the course for a couple of years :) Good luck :)

      Document the journey of trying to sell your first 100 vacuums online

    • @AndreSjoberg
      @AndreSjoberg Před 23 dny

      Depends on how «far» you are willing to go ;)
      - tie in history bits and facts into the videos about vacuums in general
      - dig deep into companies making the vacuums: are they just buying and modifying existing products from oem manufacturers and rebranding them, or are they doing proper R&D for themselves?
      - Look at «off brand» vacuums (cheap china made products) vs big brand, is there a difference, do they use some of the same motors/technology/principles?
      - is there a price point at which things go from «generic technology» (ie branded oem-like products) to proper «in company» developed products with unique features?
      - stories around manufacturers ability to stand by their products, follow up on customer issues, any «major fails» in the vacuuming industry
      - looking at how the vacuuming industry/products have changed how we live our lives (from the traveling salesmen selling to housewives to vacuums being «a bragging point» for some people.
      - high price vs high value products, «luxury» vacuums, difference in branding between brands
      stories can be so many different things, but not every video *has* to be a story, but a story can be as simple as the story from ordering to assembly to using it over time and experiences from that to something complex involving a brands history, failures and successes - if told in an engaging manner a story can be almost *anything* :)

    • @beysshowcase
      @beysshowcase Před 2 měsíci +2

      @@producerkidd this one is easy lol I am a big fan of the second amendment so for shooting games I would focus on the weapons. Maybe let your viewers know what brand/model the current weapon class you are working on is designed after. If the game utilized real life brands then expand on those companies and current offerings for the competitive/defensive/or recreational markets. Such as ACOG scopes in early Call of Duty Games. Lots of history to unfold in the history of Trijicon which I believe manufactures those ACOG scopes I mentioned.

    • @producerkidd
      @producerkidd Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@beysshowcase Yeah I would agree that talking about specifics would do good. It would be very informative and enjoyable for those the like that kind of information. However I'm thinking more in the sense of a story. For instance with COD how would you create a story? If I'm playing online multiplayer how can a story be made. Best I can think of is saving someone from the team as a mission type of video. Other than that I think it would be hard to create a video with story for a game like that. I know you can create videos on new updates with new items but to make a story that has a beginning, middle and end I think would be difficult

    • @beysshowcase
      @beysshowcase Před 2 měsíci +2

      @@producerkidd I understand what you are talking about and do see your point. It may be easier to do what I mentioned during livestreams of your gameplay since you can interact with the chat, they can ask questions and the conversation should flow naturally like when one is just hanging out with their friends. As a long form pre recorded content video though the only way I can see a story being made from that gameplay is to make it like a sports game maybe? Show it is you as the “MVP” on your team against all of the tough opponents your enemy team has to throw at you. As you get certain achievements or “streaks” you can create little catch phrases and so on to add to the story and give your audience certain “key words or phrases” they tend to associate with your channel and enjoy. That or if you have a certain “goal” in mind for that round/match you can make it a sort of story that is focused primarily on your progress in achieving said goal, just make sure to throw in lots of jokes since comedy seems to make these things all come together quite nicely from the audience perspective.
