- I bought the cheapest, 22-inch (fake) Penny Board on Amazon for $18! But how does it compare to the original Penny Board? This is an unboxing, riding, and review video to see if it's actually worth it!

My favourite video is your penny board cruising. I have been thinking about a transport for me to go to my faculty from my college for a while and we have a bicycle path but I was thinking of something more easier to bring. Then boom, saw your cool penny cruising vid, I have fallen into this rabbit hole now and I've been binge watching penny videos haha. Btw, my fav dinosaur is the Ankylosaurus cause I saw a cartoon about this kid and his bucket full of dinosaurs once. Anyways, keep posting your skating videos! I love them a lot.

ive been using a Ridge Skateboard that I got from amazon for a while now, which i put some bones reds and new bushings in. I decided to get a real penny board recently and the difference was astounding!

My bro bought a halo penny board for 35$ at Walmart in 2018. Years later the board is still good. switched the wheels from a longboard onto it and it turned amazing. Great value for decent penny.
Hi there again :] My fav vid so far has to be this one. I bought a yellow marbles real Penny brand years ago and gotta say it was awesome, but here's the thing, I have been acquiring pennyboards from amazon, ebay, thrift stores, etc. For really low prices all of them. Never failed me once. If anything the occasional change of bushings or bearings, but in general terms nothing to complain about them cheaper versions. I never ride the real brand name nowadays. My fav dinosaur is the terrific Mosasaurus.

This board was my first board and I did had to adjust it my uncle is a skateboard teacher and he was saying the same thing now I upgraded have a nice collection of boards but Yh I love penny boards to just cruise around in my area like I only use my penny board when I need a quick ride somewhere and it’s light but all my other boards like skateboard I use for tricks and my long board to get to school and back
Unless you're doing ollies and tricks, I wouldn't waste money buying heavier Penny trucks. The lighter knock off trucks is actually a good thing. I would way rather have a 3 lb board than a 4 lb one. Instead, just replace the bushings with Riptide bushings which will make the trucks ride much better than Penny trucks.
I live in Indonesia, I just bought $9 penny board and I can relate to this video, especially that part where the plastic is bolt

I can’t make that decision for you, but if you watched this video, then you probably have a better understanding of a “cheaper” / knock-off Penny board. They are definitely usable!

Thanks for your comment! To answer your question, yes, you can definitely switch out the trucks later if you want. Before you do, I would just double check they are the same size trucks. I once bought new trucks not knowing they come in different sizes (because they fit deck sizes differently), and the new ones I got were too small so I had to return them to find ones that fit correctly!
The best video you ever made was the T-Rex riding a skateboard it really made me laugh. The best dinosaur is a pterodactyl.

I grabbed a nickel for my son yesterday for... $20.
Missing bearings/spacer in one wheel and the nut. It also didn't have speed rings (washers)
I had just upgraded the bearings in my longboard, two of the 8 were still good, so into the Nickel they went. Lock nut from Lowes finished it off. The bearings I used on the longboard don't need spacers or washers, so they all went into the Nickel.
I'm sure people have gotten them more complete for even less but it's cool to know he has the actual brand version. He's a fairly new skater (9 years old), sometime I'll drop an original penny into his life to keep in his backpack for school, haha.

Actually you can make it run way smoother by taking out the magnetic rings in between of bearings of each wheels. Do that, thank me later

I just bought my first penny board for 10 Australian dollars and i have owned many skateboards in the past but never managed to get the hang of it but 2 hours after stepping on the penny board i cruising

Would you recommend this over the other 30$ fake penny?
I can’t for sure say - There are a lot of other fake penny boards on the market, and I’m not familiar with each one (and the specific one you’re referring too). Like I mentioned in the video, this is a good introductory board if you’ve never had one before or are on a very tight budget. The trucks & bearings are not the best on this one so other options may be better.

I got my own penny board i fixed it so it can turn to the side and its harder to balance and my little sister tried it on her own she almost fell and cried.she didnt even fall

I bought one today but I’ll get better trucks thank youuuu but also depends because it’s a different brand and was 20 dollars so idk if it will be the same but hopefully it’s a bit better thank you tho

Yes, it's not bad for a beginner/someone starting out. The original Penny Board is obviously better, but it's also almost $100 more. If you're on a tight budget and have never ridden a penny board, I find this to be a good alternative

The bolt screws in the wheel so the wheel doesn’t come off. Sometimes when one side is tighter than the there, it rides differently

Guess what, i got a penny board in my country for ₱450 (Philippine Peso) which is roughly $8-$9 which is insane, even has good bearings.

Just becouse the penny board is not from the biccest penny board company it doesnt mean its a "fake penny board" its a penny board still
Even though small, plastic-deck skateboards have been around for decades, Penny Skateboards actually coined the term “Penny Board” for their design of this type of board. So now when other companies copy the exact design of Penny Skateboards’ 22-inch plastic skateboard, they are literally creating a cheaper/knock-off “Penny” board. This is why I used the term “fake penny board” to describe this board in the video
