  • Thankful this error turned out to be such an easy fix! After initially getting this error while driving, I was sure I had to spend some serious cash to get the BMW operating again. The great news is for most who get this error, the ABS wheel sensor is faulty. A $70 sensor did the trick and the M4 is back! Let me know if you have any questions about the video in the comments below.

    Thanks a million. Today, I've fixed my 2016 BMW M4 with the same problem. It is safer to replace both rear sensors; GOOD JOB

    Thanks Bro... I went to a BMW dealer for 2 hours with my 520d G31. The diagnostician could not find the problem.
    Finally, I plugged an OBDLink MX+ into my OBD socket, the error code C050D appeared (Left Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Range/Performance). So I replaced this sensor following your tutorial and everything is OK.
    Thank you so much !

    my F30 340i intermittently throws this code…i haven’t looked into it much as the code has been gone for a while now…but after watching this, i’m going to to just clean the sensors and pray it never comes back 😂.. thanks for making this vid

    • @Awesomoto
      @Awesomoto  Před 9 měsíci +3

      That's awesome you stumbled across this video! Yes, this code can come and go as the sensor may have dirt causing intermittent faulty readings. Cleaning is a good first step before purchasing sensors as it may fix your issue without having to spend any money. Let me know if you ever run into the issue again after cleaning.

    Lol, The way yours came up is exactly how mine did on my F10, but luckily it went after I parked the car. I diagnosed it with my scan tool and showed no codes. I am sure it's also about to fail. Thanks for the heads up though

    Happy new year video I have the same fault as my E 9335. Did you leave out how we need a diagnostic tool to find out which wheel sensor is bad at all for? That’s the only reason I think I’m just taking to the dealer to take care of.

    • @Awesomoto
      @Awesomoto  Před 7 měsíci +1

      No I explain (probably wasnt too clear because I ramble so much lol) that you don't need an expensive diagnostic tool because there are only two sensors, so by picking one of the two and replacing it gives you a 50% chance of getting the one that was faulty and the error will go away. If not, you simply just need to swap it over to the other side. If you pick right the first time you will not have to swap it. This way you don't have to purchase an expensive tool.

    Very informative video, thank you! I have codes p15dc and p15c8 which is a rear left wheel speed fault. I changed the sensor but still no change in codes and have chassis restriction. Could it be a new faulty sensor? Also what codes popped up for you when plugging in the code reader?

    • @Awesomoto
      @Awesomoto  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks for reaching out and apologies for the delay. This was not something I put on the scanner to read codes and I just took a gamble on changing out the right one since I had a 50/50 shot at getting the right one. It could be a faulty sensor, but it would be rare that your new sensor is faulty.

    Hi thx for your help from your video. I have a 2015 M4 chassis stabilization warning came on what’s the exact link that you went with? Was it the $75 or $135? Thank you Rob

    • @Awesomoto
      @Awesomoto  Před 3 měsíci

      I apologize for the delay in response. I went with the cheaper $75 ATE part since I've learned they are the ones who manufacture for BMW and they just brand the packaging with BMW for them. So save some money and go with the cheaper one. I put the other link in case others really felt the need to buy the "OEM" one lol.

    I’m having a similar problem, I have a right brake lamp malfunction that pops up and then goes away after a few moments, then I crank my car and I get the abs light, brake light, and chassis control light, all go on. People have said that it could’ve been because I went through a car wash but idk. Any help would be appreciated.

  • @Mr77Trojan

    Kindly Note, if you have an Xdrive BMW it’ll have one on all wheels. I’m having the issue right now on my 2012 X6 35i .It Showed up after doing my VCG. Unrelated I know, somehow it decided to have this issue along with DSC and steering angle. Hopefully swapping them out will remove many of these faults.

    • @Awesomoto
      @Awesomoto  Před 5 měsíci

      Great point! I hadn't considered an Xdrive scenario. In that case picking out the faulty sensor will be more work (unless you get lucky). Thank you for commenting!

    • @Dribin

      If you can find a cheap mechanic willing to do this for $300 then totally go that route. I've just heard much higher quotes ($800-1200) from others on this simple job.

      I’ve had this issue with my f30 330 xdrive for a little while now, it would come on intermittently, triggered mostly when I would turn the wheel to the left. Recently, It’s been coming on more frequently and staying on. I think the wheel speed sensor may have been damaged and I’ve even experienced some slippage/stability issues in bad weather. finally have a service appointment coming up so I’ll be sure to share my results and hopefully shed some more light on this issue.
