This really was a dump! They pulled off a miracle here. Glad to see they retained one of the orange trees, which had wonderful oranges at the time of filming.

Wish they had kept more of the mature landscaping. There places always look peeled, except when they hire someone else to landscape...

Cannot understand why they install sod in drought-prone SoCal. Really nuts to expect owners to pay for water like that.

I love the front roof line and the pergola over the door and walkway. I just painted the living room/dining room of my house the same interior wall color. Yes, it has some green in it.

One of the few times I've been genuinely amazed by their vision. I had to actually pause at 7:55 because the exterior transformation shocked me so much.

I totally agree with you on the exterior. Love the pergola!

All they did was paint it. Nothing that shocking.

@@JohnSmith-xx9se I don't know if I could have seen past the overgrown yard the way they did. The "after" landscaping looked very smart.

Absolutely a nice job! I wouldnt want dark tile in the shower, though. Pretty, but makes the room darker and smaller looking. Plus, it's a nightmare to keep clean.

The green is sooooo much better than the black/grey/white they overuse. I'm a bit shocked, not just by the green, but because it more closely resembles the craftsman style of the house.

Great design, except for the bathroom tiles. I would have reconfigured the kitchen differently. No laundry room but an integrated large kitchen instead with cabinets and a fridge where they placed the laundry, removed the door and replaced the window with a large double-glazed door opening to the beautiful mature garden. Island in the middle of the kitchen, with a dining table right in the centre of that open large room. Wonder what is behind the doors to the right, access to the side/back of the house or a garage?

  • @elizabethhamill2875

That master bedroom tile in the shower made that shower look even smaller then it was. A big no for me. They should have gone with something lighter and maybe used that as an accent in it.

    Weird choices:
Tile in the bath - what in the world??? Why so dark? That blue is terrible and looks like the "before". The house is so small and would have looked so much better with light and bright. Why not either go with white or carry that light green into the bathrooms?? Huge mistake.
The staging was horrible. There were way too many "things", and much of it didn't blend. Why add big cubbies as night stands instead of small nightstands. Dumb.
    Good things:
    What?!?! No grey??? 👏
    Love the exterior
    Adding second bath
    Kitchen is perfect
    Yards look fabulous
    Updated wiring
    Super clean and homey
P.S. We all knew they were going to make bank, including them. That place was gross. They saved that house.

Big lies gAlore here. You don’t do a complete rewire for 5k. You don’t do a complete bathroom Reno for 10k. Apparently, labor is free to them. I don’t appreciate this kind of deception.
