‘American Idol’ Finalist Abi Carter Slays Bon Jovi Cover With Dazzling Finale Performance

Abi Carter, a 21-year-old from Indio, California, won American Idol with a haunting cover of Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For." She then performed a heartfelt rendition of Bon Jovi's "Bed of Roses" from their fifth album Keep the Faith. Carter also performed a free concert at Indio's newest entertainment venue, Center Stage, where her mother, Andrea Carter, joined her onstage for a soaring performance of "Dream a Dream" from the musical Les Miserables. Carter's performance was considered the most important of her life to date, with a $125,000 check and a recording contract with Hollywood Records at stake.
