Absolutely stunning throw! I love Paintbox Yarns.
I agree Pat! I have found them to be very reliable, few knots, and a great color selection to choose from. (Gosh - didn't mean that to sound so sales-pitchy!)
My grandma made Amagansett using this stich back in the 70s. It is great for winter sweaters, thick and warm. Love your pattern using this stitch. You are a great instructor. ❤

This is simply beautiful Bonnie.... You took the Catherine's Wheel to a all new level with this beautiful border. It looks like something that is so much more complicated than what it is...... I believe this is "Catherine's Wheel"...... I think!
Thank you! Yes, it is a version of the Catherine Wheel. The border is surprisingly simple.

There you go again Ms Bonnie another beautiful throw, what am l going to do next? It is so fascinating to watch you crochet it makes me antsy to do it. I think l will be able to keep on count with this pattern. Thank you very much for your invaluable instrutions and creative colors and designs. I absolutey love the border. Can we order this yarn here?
Hy Yvonne! I don't sell kits, but there is a link in the video description if you are looking for the PaintBox Yarn.
This pattern has been in the family generations.. typically used for baby blankets... Nice color choices.
My stepmother had an afghan that was very similar. I don't know who made it, and I thought it really cool! I found a crochet pattern book with that stitch in it (awesome!) but I couldn't figure out the directions. What's that mean? How do you do that?
That was 1995. This video popped up and it makes me want to try it again. 😊
Yes, this is a pretty common easy repeat pattern. I hope you enjoy this one!
Absolutely spectacular
Hehe 😅 I’m loving the nail strips! What is the color name? There’s no guessing with ColorStreet! 😂
I'm not really sure of the name, so sorry! They do change these around a lot though. It's such a fun and economical way to keep my nails looking better, especially when filming in high definition.
💜💜💜
Maravilhosa!
Muito lindo esse padrão,cores maravilhosas, esse trabalho ficou maravilhoso💜
Thank you!
I love this! I have some Bernat Forever fleece. Do you think know I could use that yarn? It's a bulky 6 weight though.
You may want to save the bulky yarn for another design and use thinner yarn on this one.
This looks beautiful 😍 which one of your blanket patterns would you say is the fastest?
I have two lap blankets to make and I am loving your designs 🤩
Great questions Bethany! The 4 Hour Baby Blanket (which can be made bigger) is definitely my fastest. Anything with open crochet work (has holes) will work up the fastest.
The only hard part to remember is how to start each new row & when to stitch one, three or four chains.
❤bonjour madame
I dont see colors. My video is all black & white.☹️
Just beautiful. Love the border trim. Bonnie - will the pattern also look good using DK (3 weight) yarn and a thinner hook?
I’m going to use Stylecraft DK from my stash. As Bonnie said, the pattern is a multiple of 8 + 1. I will use the appropriate number of chain stitches to give me my desired width and go from there. Use the appropriate hook size to suit the yarn. Bear in mind that DK yarn will not be as bulky or thick as Bonnie’s but depending on the hook size you use it should have a nice drape. Strength to your crochet arm. Enjoy the experience. 🐨🦘👋🏻
Thank you Bonnie. I too have a Grandchild due around 24 August and so I am going to quickly make this blanket as I expect there will be a good use for it. Such a pretty blanket that seems quite simple to do (thanks to you excellent video tutorial.). I will be thinking of you and your 2 Grandchildren due soon. Btw, safe travels. 🐨🦘👋🏻
Yes Sonja, I think DK yarn (or any size) will be fine. The sizing will be slightly smaller, but you can adjust that (details in video).
@@lesleyoliver3310 thank you Lesley! I so appreciate your thoughts and prayers for my family and me. We are heading into a very, very busy season in August/September.
@@BonnieBayCrochetThank you Bonnie. I will just increase the stitch count as you stated in tutorial to make up for the thinner yarn/hook.
How much yarn did the throw take? It looks like it would be the same yardage for each color.
The yarn requirements are in the video description, but I'm happy to repost here: Yarn: Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran (100% acrylic, 100g/3.5 oz, 184m/201 yd, #4 weight yarn). I used 4 colors, approx. 800 yds of each color, 3200 yds total. Colors I used: Champagne White (#202), Pale Lilac (#245), Pansy Purple (#247), Dusty Lilac (#246).
@@BonnieBayCrochet Thanks! I missed it in the video. This is so helpful.
Bonnie I think I made a mistake I added 8 more stitches and rows 4 and 5 didn't end right got any suggestions
If you’re not too far into the project, you may want to start again. You can always send me a photo to bonniebay@me.com.
@@BonnieBayCrochet thanks
