As with all of your tutorials, even if you are new to crochet, if you pause and take a moment to understand while watching Bonnie, you can do this too. As always, thanks for your calm teaching and we absolutely love it and you!
Oh Bonnie, this is beautiful! Challenging! I've laid down my knitting and crocheting out of boredom and gone to sewing, but this is the first temptation to come back in nearly 2 years!!! WOW!
@BonnieBayCrochet. Heya! Omg I had long forgotten who gave me the inspiration for my leg warmers! I don't think leg warmers are extremely popular nowadays. However I've never worn anything that has gotten me so many " stops." People stop me to ask and look closer! I didn't use the braided cable. But LFR, arrow stitches and Celtic stitches. My Celtics had no back so a bit different. If you want to take the idea of leg warmers I'd be happy. But...? Not sure how many want them. My legs are always cold. And This was my solution. I absolutely recommend using the chainless foundation for the extra stretch! I also used your ride the FPS and the BPS. I immediately rid the arrow row as I'm not great at making a pattern. I had no clue how many arrows would fit. So, I guessed I'd be frogging! After I knew how I made several pairs with superwash merino. I also did a couple sets with the ridge then the LFR then all Celtic in the round ending with the lfr. On one end I put a tassel ball border. I love those balls on the celtic. I've made some for my nieces. They begged! Lol
Oh I also used the bubble? Stitch. I can't think of the word. Also I was using a smaller hook for the ridge rows --- FP and BP stiches. You really want the middle part on the loose side but not the top!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. Using paintbox simply chunky in 3 different tones of purple. Well see how it turns out but having so much fun. You're a great teacher!!!!❤
What a beautiful throw ! Thank you for your instructions and tutorial! Without it( tutorial), it’s really difficult to crochet! Especially if you are new to it! Without tutorials, it would be very discouraging to even start! ❤😊!
I totally understand that! That's one reason why I have worked on these videos for years. These stitches are too satisfying to leave only to a select few people. I want folks of all learning styles to be able to make these.
The throw is gorgeous. The texture is phenomenal. Great job. I would like to try this, when I finish my other🧶 projects. Enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work.👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Bonnie, beginner but I must say, this afghan is something I can look forward in trying one day when I'm more experienced. I love the way you teach, you do not hurry the instructions to where even experience crocheters can put up these stitches pretty fast. What a beautiful afghan, looking forward to learning the pattern in the near future. Ty for your time, patience, again I love the way you teach. ❤
Thank you for your kind encouragement Cindy! If you have scrap yarn, feel free to give these stitches a try on smaller swatches. Making mistakes this way is the best way I know of learning! Take care...
I generally do not like afghans with multiple colors, but when you work them I fall in love. Your stitches are so beautiful together and the yarn and colorways are just what I would hope to put together if my skill level was that advanced. Your teaching style makes me feel as if my sister was teaching me. Thank you for sharing your gift. I am so ready to make your afghans.
Stella Altman thank you for your sweet and thoughtful words. Please do give this a try. My big secret is that these stitches (while not excessively easy) are formed using the basic, fundamental crochet stitches most crocheter’s already know and love. Please give it a try, and honestly, mistakes are ok as you learn!😊❤️
I got the Knurl stitch done then I sc in the back stitch, but in 3 spots I picked up both stitches, oh my here we go taking it out again., but I am almost done with the knurl stitch., but make sure you don’t pick up both stitches., here we go, thank you Bonnie I do love your patterns.,
I've just come across this pattern and as a crochet lover of near 10 years, you have explained these stitches in a way that I can finally try something 'aran knit' style. Can't wait to try this out. My first project for 2022 x
Thank you for this gorgeous afghan. I love how you gave the count of the stitches a repeat of 6 for the first cable pattern. It really helped to know where I was especially on the back treble row. I'm doing mine with the Paint Box Tudor Garden, but I added a green #225 and omitted the gray and white. Can't wait to get more rows done. God Bless you and your family.
Looking forward to seeing these colors Jane! Please send me a photo when you are finished so I can include it in a slide show of all the different afghans!
This is a beautiful Afghan, I love all the Afghans you do. I just save them all to my play list because I plan on doing them all. Some of them I do for others but not all of them some I plan on keeping just have to find somewhere to put them lol
Your throw is a gorgeous design! Thank you for sharing. I also couldn't help noticing your nail art... 🥰 It really popped against the yarn as you were explaining the yarn and color you chose.
After watching this video several times and your tutorials on the cable/weave stitches, I feel confident on starting this throw. If nothing else, I'm determined!
Once again you have enticed me to make another Afghan I cannot pass this one up it is beautiful and all the different stitches will make it so much fun. Thank you for all your time and all your work to teacher all those beautiful stitches
Hi I think we are very lucky that you are willing to share your talent I have purchased lots of your pattern on love crafts I will definitely be purchasing this one. Hi Bonnie, I am so grateful for your videos and your sharing of your talent. I have purchased several of your beautiful books and these videos are such a blessing to help through the more difficult stitches. Thank you so much and God Bless.
This is a beautiful Afghan .. I’m going to get my yarn !! I get tired of the same old simple blankets and stuff .. so this looks amazing and I love that it’s broken up in different sections and different stitches! Thank you
I absolutely 💯 % love this throw & mostly how awesome YOUR teaching skills are. Can't wait to finish the throw I'm crocheting now so I can start this BEAUTIFUL one... thank you for showing this.
I have begun, got my wool and loving this challenge, I've been beading for a good few years and needed a break, and I've never followed a pattern like this. It's my first and I love a good challenge. You do wonderful crochet and you are a great teacher. Thank you.
Love this pattern! The written pattern is really well done and easy to follow, and the videos are super helpful. I'm a beginner, but I managed to make it for my sister for Christmas, and she loved it! Thank you! :)
🙋ciao Bonnie, ☺️Finally started yesterday this beautiful "Colorfull Cables Throw".. but.. Im crochetin🧶 da Throw.. in 1 Color.. a kind of dark Yellow🧡👌😉... 💁Thanx for da Inspiration You always givin Me 🌹😘...
I love this blanket 😍 I have bought the paintbox yarn in the summer garden colours (5 pack selection) ...all 20 balls! I also bought the pattern but I am still watching as I read the pattern to make sure I get it right😄 You do a great job of explaining what to do. I love watching your videos. You have inspired me to try lots of new patterns, like the ones in this blanket. I have been crocheting for nearly 25 years and have only done a few of these before. Thanks and God bless 😊
Thanks for the tutorial. My edges seem a bit wonky. I’m love this so much i couldn’t wait for the paintbox yarn to be in stock, so I’m using one color, plus i couldn’t wait for the next video, so i got the pattern. So far so good!
Wow Bonnie!! I’m so happy to be making this afghan!! Some really challenging stitches, that Knurl stitch really tough to get, after many tries, I finally got it! I missed a row of SC with the V stitch and didn’t figure it out until I was well into the cables! So I just started over with new colors!! This is my 3rd make of your afgans and I’m addicted to your designs!! Thank you for such patience in your teachings! I learn something new every time I watch your channel!!🧶❤️
Bonnie, I just found you and am so excited! I love your no nonsense videos. Easy to understand, nice voice, no BS with your cats, dogs, kids, etc. I really appreciate your work. I know I will be a much better crocheter.

Tried the Celtic Mandala but lost it on the stitch count with the woven stitch so many times I gave up for now ;) Gonna do this one and see how it goes and hoping my yarn amount is right , Thanks Bonnie !
They are out of the wander lust color, so I will try the jewels pack! Thank you so much for doing this! Ready to learn these stitches and maybe enter it in the fair, if I can do this and look great!
Donna Arsenault you can also order most of the colors individually and substitute with a similar color for the gray and blue that aren’t available should you want to stay with the wanderlust colors. I think the jewel tones will look fabulous though!
I am so excited about this. I've already picked up several colors of yarn to get started. Thank you Bonnie. You never ceases to amaze me with your amazing creations.
I am SO impressed with this gorgeous design!! I've watched the compilation videos that show all of the different color combinations, and I'm very inspired! I hadn't planned on making an afghan anytime soon, but this is such a great way to learn new stitches, and a fun way to put it all together! I think I may even break it all down to make into pocket shawls, which I've determined that I need to make for Christmas gifts for NEXT year. Hi Bonnie🙋♀️. I just started making this beautiful throw a few days ago & it’s my 1st attempt at cables. I’ve bought a couple of your books & have been wanting to try a few things in them so by doing this throw along with you I’m sure I’ll find the confidence I’ll need to not only start one but to also successfully finish it as well. I find you to be an excellent instructor & I look forward to learning how to make cables as well as other beautiful stitches from you ( no matter how much I have to frog 🐸)!😂 Thank you !😀

Hello Bonnie, I have learnt quite a few Cable Stitches Patterns from you 😁 but this is a Wonderful Idea to put them together into a Blanket/Afghan 😁💕 Erica x
Hi Bonnie. Could you please tell me what is the finished size of your blanket and what is the stitch multiple so that in case I need to make it in a larger size , this would help. Thanks !
Beautiful beautiful throw Bonnie. I cant wait to make this and learn all these gorgeous stitches. Wishing you much love💗 Many blessings 🙏 and Happy Crocheting 🧶😁🧶
Bonnie, this afghan is beautiful, and enticing. You are a very good teacher! I will come back to this project when I’ve finished some other WIP’s. The prospect of making this will inspire me to finish up my other starters. Oh, the guilt, and temptation. Thanks again, Janet, from Pennsylvania.
I am so excited and have just received a notification from the Post Office that my Paintbox Yarn has arrive so I can start tomorrow - thanks Bonnie I will not purchase the pattern so I can follow you and keep on learning how read a pattern :)
Today is my Birthday. I have prepped to make this part of my celebration! On the front and back post treble you whipped that yarn over the hook so fast it took me a minute for my ears to catch up! Love how the crab (knurl?) is elevated. I can imagine that as a border too. Definitely enjoyed! I'll be working on mastering these stitches. Thank you!
Happy Birthday Suzanne!!! Should you ever need to slow the speed of the video, just click that gear shaped icon in the lower right of the computer (three vertical dots in upper right of cell phone screen) and select a slower playback speed. Blessings to you!
For the first time I understood how to work the second pattern (the braided cable) - thanks to you, Bonnie, the best teacher
Yay! This makes me pretty happy! So glad these videos were helpful.
As with all of your tutorials, even if you are new to crochet, if you pause and take a moment to understand while watching Bonnie, you can do this too. As always, thanks for your calm teaching and we absolutely love it and you!
Vickie Keeton thank you!😊❤️❤️❤️

Hi Bonnie. Could you please tell me what is the finished size of your blanket and what is the stitch multiple so that in case I need to make it in a larger size , this would help.

Ha ha! No guilt allowed Janet...just joy, but boy do I understand! Wishing you all the best....
So easy to follow you...Anxious to get started. Thanks and God Bless
My pleasure Laura!
