❄❄❄I hope you designed a nice cosy spot for the inspector. Once Duracell is back in the water her job will just get more complicated.☺. great update 2x👍
Wow the boat looks massive inside, went back to episode 67 to see the drawings again..its really taking shape. Superb work!
Amazing ability to put those rooms together and they don’t feel claustrophobic any more. Great designing. 💖💖💖🇦🇺👋
Wow, she’s looking amazing, always a great day when your episodes are out.
Good to an "inspector" just complete the Sydney to Hobart. First cat to do so apparently. What a great finish that was.
The big sections going in must give you a great feeling of progress. The filming of the construction in detail is good to see. You explain well the reasons for why things are done the way they are, which is useful. It probably saves you getting loads of questions too.
I'm really digging the interior design! Didn't think I would like it when it was just a drawing. I now see the wisdom in it!!
I always love watching this channel. I just wish that the videos were a little bit longer. Like 30 minutes or more.
Fabulous Matt, these changing rooms went together perfectly! Tally Ho is launching in the spring, they had the snow as well, Ran III had Johann shoveling 2ft in Sweden.
it will be so exciting to see Tallyho launch!
Love how you have progressed to narration while you work. Love the channel and have learned so much about foam core fiberglass work.
The Inspector was really enjoying her spot in front of the wood stove. Those staterooms are coming together nicely. I'm glad the frigid winter weather just comes in short bursts here in the PNW. Thanks for the episode.
hi Bob, yes the inspector has been doing a lot of woodstove inspections recently...followed by long naps
More minutiae!!!! Love it love it!
Magical snow footage. No squeaks in this boat. Some amazing vidoes to come. As your skills in good sound and adding content is what makes utubers great. Your project is 1 I myself was told not to pursue when very young. But once at sea it could be 50 yrs.
Matt
Du er virkelig flink med norsken din
Likevel er du enda flinkere til å bygge seilbåt
Wonderful, really coming together. Such an exciting project!
Catdaddy!!!!! Man it’s hard to believe almost 2 years now I’ve been watching your progress!!!! Don’t sweat OCD …. Once you get er wet and you’re chilling inside, you’ll look over at that shelf and be like, craftsmanship 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ I’m very proud of how far you’ve come hondo !!!! Get the champagne ready slick! You’re almost there!! 👏👏👍
I actually enjoyed how Matt got into the details. Great show.
Glad to hear it
Lol, We I appreciate your tight wad! Great job!
Where will your first trip be once this boat is ready? please come to Canada....i would love to see this boat up close and meet you guys as well :) Brilliant work!! keep it up!
we plan on spending a lot of time cruising up in BC! We don't know our cruising plans yet.
Congrats on sponsorships, those are always a milestone for content creators. Great progess on the boat too. You inspired me to do a lot of research on boats. Thank you so much for introducing me to this world of sailing and boat building.
Great to see your vision taking shape. Nice work!!
So happy to hear more patrons are coming forward!
Thank you for sharing!
Doing an amazing job guys, love the state rooms and the privacy they give. Great effort!
Beautiful work inside! It is really shaping up now!
Great production on this episode!!
Great project!
Really enjoying the small details.
Det er alltid hyggelig å se på episodene dere lager, de er informative og lærerike. Blir spennende videre mot ferdig yacht. Lykke til videre!😊❤
I wrote it in Norwegian so you can practice your «babbel» a bit😂
ja, takk for det!
Absolutely incredible work, the staterooms look amazing and finally those big open spaces are being filled into something that makes sense and gives a great impression on the shape of the inside. Congratulations on a job well done, you must be so proud!! As always sending positive energy your way.....Neil☘😊
Great episode! Wow it looks amazing those staterooms look super comfortable and cozy
Looks great Matt!
The building project is amazing to follow and you are doing so well! It is also due to the creative shooting and editing, that makes those stories so enjoyable! The interior looks awesome; an idea could be toake a small edge on top of the two "roofs" to the staterooms, where you would be able to put charts etc?
Yes there will be wood fiddles around those counters/roofs for things like charts and cats and stuff.
Yoohoo you’ve finally been interviewed by on the wind!! I’ve been waiting for this one. I’m currently listening to their quarterdeck podcast but I’ll get you your OTW next.
Also I enjoy the FG sickos attention to detail in the joins!
That compulsion to do the right thing on each part multiplied over the many parts you install is going to reap rewards in the final product.
No need for explanation…we are in admiration of it.
The boats transformation is amazing!
I enjoy your music. Thanks!
Podcast was excellent thanks
Having La Paz sprawling luxuriously in the background during the ad, was a cunning ploy to ensure more of us watched it!
It kept my attention.
The "staterooms" are really good. By tacking on a changing booth, you've turned a quarter berth into a much more user-friendly space. Very clever design.
it's was more fun to make with her in it for us too :)
Amazing video once again , another great job and it’s looking fantastic miles of taping and it’ll look even more amazing , waiting for your next instalment every week is really hard , well done guys ❤Graham
Looking good guys, seems to be really moving along, I love the way the state rooms almost section off the benches but leave it open enough that you don't feel like its two different rooms. I'm not sure it would be to your taste, but i'd love to see a couple of brass rails around the top of the shelves on the state rooms, maybe three quarter inch tube with those fancy pipe brackets with the bulbus stem, if you know what I mean. Have a great week, keep warm and well
brass or wood trim!
Love how the vision is taking shape looks awesome
The interior is really starting to take shape now like ! Looks fantastic Matt, digging the whole design/ layout and obviously exceptional craftsmanship
Absolutely Right On Mate
It's coming along so great - awesome work!
thank you😊
Awesome more progress! Keep rolling Duracell team! 👍👍👊👊 Looks amazing!! 👍👍😲😲👊👊
Great Job
The snow is beautiful and such contrast to Australia with bush fires, floods and 35 degree days.
Always a great day to watch a new video, love the content.
hey guys. love the videos and the project. I'm rebuilding a 49ft performance cat and i have learned a lot watching matt work. really appreciate the videos.
That’s great!
Looking great! I start to itch everytime I watch the show. Lol!
Badass! Looks awesome!
looks great guys ... can´t wait to see the next progress!
You guys look like you had enjoyable break. Love it.
Awesome! ❤
I built boats for thirty years in Maine. Learned to use closed cell foam to make a beveled piece to glue to anywhere a bulkhead came in contact with the hull. The bulkhead can cause hard spots on the hull that look terrible.foam panels are better than balsa . Just started using foam when I retired.
A brilliant video the size of durocell is now with the berths state rooms and the amount of room you have left to create more space is there 😊😊😊
I wonder about the small cabinet next to seat in changing room. The seat are is quite tight and maybe a surface to match the to cabinet top for a larger seat with and more drawers added or cubby etc.
yes, that's exactly what we're thinking of doing!
Progress!! I'm in awe😮
Wow! That looks so good. Very satisfying. Great work!
I really think you should come up with a sound track, music for the Total Boat epoxy pump shot.
Love the look of the staterooms 😍, still think what I said previous video would suite the space.
Great job 💪🏼🥳
this boat is going to be so awesome
Love your choice of music for segments of the vids. Keep Ticklin' those Ivories.
so love yr minds..x
With the shelf fitting, if you trace the underside along the hull (with a round marker ~1/2" centre) you can just cut to that line instead of having to translate from the top. Also you shouldn't need the spacer block, as the bottom edge should push up flush. Might be a little more difficult to reach though.
Vad roligt att du vill lära dig norska ! Engelskan är ganska lik de skandinaviska språken . Lycka till !
takk!
Try grinding the teeth off a jig saw blade so it becomes a knife blade. Should cut through foam with no mess. I've done it on thinner material. Enjoy your vids. Keep it up.
So exciting!!!!!!
looking so good 👌
Super travail ! Bravo ! Courage beaucoup reste a faire mais beaucoup est deja fait !! Allez go ! 👋 Eric from Belgium.
Looks good, I enjoy watching you videos.
Your videos and NASAspaceflight's are the only ones where I hit the like button before I even watch the video! Good job! Cheers from Bulgaria.
Very good job❤
Great that you’re learning Norwegian. Jeg gleder meg til å se Duracell i Norge!
vi gleder oss ogsa!
Jeg gleder meg også 😊
Inspector kitty is so sweet.
I watch you from France, I wait your video every week. I love them, there are so cool and relaxing : thank you so much ! (sorry if I make mistakes, my english is catastrophic😅)
That’s a real puzzle you guys are having there. You just need to build your own pieces one by one.
The slow-mo on the router.........nice!!!
Boy your cat has Personality Plus! As for your Duracell project Mike Plant would really be impressed.
It's starting to look like a regular hotel 😜😜 Very nice. Great video, thanks👍👍😁
Bravo, this project is coming along very nicely!! I wonder if you have considered rounding over the top corners, could be a painful thing to bonk your head on in a sea way.
That was brilliant and your imagination on how it’ll turn out
An epic amount of work, but the end result will make it worth it.
It’s evolving into something quite amazing.
So we are all "fiberglass sickos" ... interesting, I guess we are, maybe a good idea for a t-shirt. You guys are so cute together when cleaning the camera lens and the camera operator. Great episode seeing the staterooms come alive. As much as I enjoy seeing the build, I hope to see you sail this boat one day. I can't wait for those episodes; so far, I have not missed one.
Oh, one more thing, I think aesthetically, I would actually also round the bottom of the stateroom doors. All other doors in your boat do that, and it is generally good to keep consistency in a design, I am certain it will look better that way.
Always good to see you guys pass inspection 😹
Making progress brother. Keep up the good work….
With that amount of space inside helm station would have been great but you want to steer outside with a Bimini good on you sailors are very rarely dry
I like steering outside
Ser fram emot en episod på Norsk. 😊
det kan ta en stund
I appreciate the minutia. I am going to have to do some similar stuff on my boat. So I am taking notes, so to speak. I only need to add a few shelves or maybe cubbies. Not remodeling a whole boat.
Excellent, glad you enjoy that
It is good to see that the camerawife is also wearing a P100 respirator.
Awesome that you are learning Norwegian Matt! Babbel was my favorite online learning tool. I only wish they had more Norwegian lessons and more advanced content.
Good to hear, we are enjoying it too. Seems like a worthy product to advertise.
I really appreciate the time you take to get things right, and therefore agree with almost all your design choices. However I really think putting a second head in makes so much sense. If you have the boat fully crewed with 8 people it might be a little annoying. Might be a little late now of course. Otherwise love the project. I really appreciate all the detail in the vlogs, as I spent 2 years boatbuilding so know all the hours that aren't shown.
Thank you very much. I understand the argument for a second head, it was a tough decision, but we decided that it will just be us onboard 95% of the time, and keeping the boat simple is worth the inconvenience when we have more folks on board.
Amazing work ! The boat is really shaping up and starting to show your vision for this beautiful sailing yacht. Have you decided on the engine and when will you install it ?
we're actually designing the hybrid electric propulsion system right now. Hopefully we'll get to it this summer, but we'll probably introduce our design before then.
Miles of taping? That’s an understatement. 😂 You’ll be rounding off corners I hope.
Interesting to see it all come together. Love how the layout differentiates private and shared space forward and aft.
Also having a sulking/pouting cave helps minimize direct conflict.
yes, i will be!
Love the hoodie; GO ARMY
The inspector looks very comfortable by the fire 😊
Great turban ! Very Gloria Swanson.
Looking like a sailboat now 😎
Brilliant job Matt, I would love to do the same type of project but maybe not such a big boat. Loving the videos. At the moment I just build model boats, but I do sail and a member of Scarborough Yacht club here in England.
Very fun. We hope to get out that way on the boat one day.
you will be very welcome in the club 😊
