NS AC44C6M Leads Amtrak 42 - Latrobe PA

The night before, the leader on the westbound Pennsylvanian, AMTK 113, broke down. Norfolk Southern took an AC44C6M off a passing eastbound intermodal and tacked it on the head end of the Pennsylvanian to get it to Pittsburgh. Today, to no surprise, the same engine lead the eastbound Pennsylvanian (AMTK 42) across the Pittsburgh Line. Watch as the Pennsylvanian roars into Latrobe, PA this morning behind an NS AC44C6M and the broken down Amtrak unit. Filmed June 16, 2023.
