This may be the strangest microphone I've ever laid eyes on. But does the microphone sound any good? I tried this thing Recording Drums, using it for drum overheads. I recorded the guitar with it. I recorded vocals, I recorded acoustic guitars, and I miked up guitar cabs... this ribbon microphone is nuts and hangs with stuff much more expensive. The OHMA ribbon mic is pretty dope.

Thank you for observing what I observed. I bought a ribbon after your first video about Ohma. WOW! (I've been recording since 1966) I've been blessed to use just about every mic out there. I will be ordering more. You're right about the company. They are great people. Thank you again for your channel. By the way, change the name... you are NOT a loser!

I keep getting ads for these and was hoping to see a review soon. This pops up and it was an instant watch.
I’m a hobbyist at recording and been making music for over 20 years, but I’ve never used or owned a ribbon mic. They always seemed so fragile and expensive and out of reach.
I think this might be my first ribbon mic purchase. I just bought a new house and haven’t set my stuff up yet, but once I do, I think this was the sign that I’m getting one lol
Wow, these sound great! To my ears, they sound nice and warm like a traditional ribbon but really clean and with a nice clarity. Did you find any particularly nice preamp pairings?
This is a great video, my only critique is that I don't think you made it clear enough whether you like these microphones or not. A bit vague really.
