Both surges of fans after UFC 189/194 and UFC 229 have been terrible, they know nothing about MMA and all they do is either post pictures of Khabib choking McGregor, overuse Khabib quotes and praise Khabib for even wiping his ass (when they're not defending his honor in every single comment section there is).
And Conor fans when they arrived: spam Conor quotes all over social media and to other fighters and post pics of him knocking them out and just being loud and obnoxious overall when they in fact also knew nothing about fighting.

Even just yesterday Khabib fans came out of the woodwork to declare him invincible and get angry at Joe Rogan for even discussing the idea that Oliveira might beat Khabib. Absolutely ridiculous. Even the idea of discussing the current number 1 lightweight being able to beat the former number 1 lightweight was too much for them and they had to go on the warpath to confirm Khabib is undefeatable even if he returned years from now.

Yes Khabib didn't run up on a bus full of people with 30 people and hurt them in an attempt to attack someone but he did still gang up on Artem with 10-15 people and publicly humiliate him as he slapped him about (I know Artem talked shit and shouldn't have involved himself but that was in fair response to Khabib talking shit about Conor at the time) and yet people completely ignore that and just say good on him despite the fact that he could have sent his guys away and just told Artem not to try to provoke him again. When asked about it Khabib just waved it off as nothing despite running up on Artem in a lobby with 10 guys, unanticipated or not, it doesn't at all fit his humble image as he stalks Artem and grabs him by the back of the neck. Yeah man I feel like Oliveira now would have been a fantastic test as he has the heart to come back from being knocked down, has fire in his gloves, like Khabib is willing to trade on the feet and is an executioner with his submissions and on the ground so I feel he would have been a fantastic test for Khabib. I do feel like with his iron chin and extraordinary wrestling Khabib would absolutely be the betting favourite but I couldn't count Oliveira out at all just because Khabib is undefeated because of Oliveira's talents. Every fight is different and the arrogance and disrespect of Khabib fans to wash past any and all lightweights in favour of Khabib is absurd.
