The Adler is not a 'military type' firearm, no military uses them and they have none of the features associated with firearms issued to soldiers. That term 'military type gun' is only used by anti-gunners, politicians and hoplophobes. Plus if you were to use that logic then ALL firearms are 'military type guns' as ALL action types have been used by one military or another at one time or another since firearms were introduced (yes even flintlock muzzleloaders) Than there is the fact that there are something like 7 lever action shotguns available on the market now, the Adler, Pardus, Urkon, Alpharms, Winchester, IAC and Chiappa, and now by mid 2017 Pardus is bringing in a straight pull 5 shot shotgun, which will be available on a Cat A licence (as the recategorization of lever action shotguns doesn't cover straight pull bolt action shotguns) and yet we have heard nothing from the anti-gunners about these firearms, they focus solely on the Adler. Then there is the fact that no lever action shotgun has been used to commit a crime let a lone a homicide in Australia in decades (despite 3 lever action shotguns being widely available for that same period.)

what a poor argument you make, ALL actions were, at one time or another were used by the military and as times changed (and technology advanced) the action changed to the current select fire assault rifle. But ANY intelligent person would not assert that the lever action IS still considered a 'military' type firearm, they (lever actions) have NO features that current military's deem useful as advantageous for military use. Cite one modern military that issues lever action to their soldiers.

military type discipline is much faster so these people are saying the action speed of the ADLER A110 is next to a m4 carbine, mk16scar, m16a2 5.56 rifle......guys the a110 is fast and many other shotguns are just like or close to the a110 like the iac 1887 but nobody lately kicked up a fuss about that for years people know we can push in more than 5 shells but.....now a new discipline model is all the problem I disagree and all the rubbish just goes way to far and insults the people that have held a licence for years. and makes it harder for young blokes to get our a&b lic how about it stops going all over the news informing people that are not in to sport shooting about these disciplines and that way they can stay in the hands of a person that is fit and proper at the end of the day keep making licence hard to get well people will get firearms from somewhere where it probably will not be registered and this is where the problems start
