If your name is James, you can have one more step than others.
On that last one just to clarify why a lot of nba players appear to be traveling in that situation...look close. The ball is suspended in air and he doesn’t touch it. Once he touches it he then take the two steps. It’s the equivalent of throwing the ball way-out ahead of you and chasing it down. Only when the ball is in you hand do the steps count. A lot of player get called for steps for this but the ball is suspended.
You are literally the first person I have seen writing this And you are absolutely correct. I've been trying to explain to people a long time now that you gotta have the ball in your hands to travel, still everyone wants to call everything travelling nowadays. I'm glad there are people out there who know their shit. Not a lot, but thankfully there are.

On the subject of traveling, the keyword is "conduction". Floating in the air, touching or not the ball, it's clear that the ball was intentionally (intention doesn't matter here, though) conducted, so it was traveling for sure.

Ro Gene No 99 is a rating that very few deserve. MJ, LeBron, Wilt, Kareem. 97 at best for Harden if he played All-NBA 1st team defense. Dude's gotta be consistently scoring better than 50% through most of his career to be considered a 99. This is all just my opinion.
