Großer Kurfürst - German Tier X battleship.
One of the last stages of a battleship design for the German Navy. The ship was fitted with triple main turrets designed at the outbreak of World War II. The project was developed based on combat experience and featured powerful torpedo protection, enhanced horizontal armor and more advanced AA guns.
Pros:
One of the heaviest battleship broadsides in Tier 10, better than American counterpart Montana
Can achieve the highest AP DPM of all Tier 10 battleships with the right upgrades and captain skills
Comfortable shell velocity
Good turret traverse speed
Large secondary armament with a very good 7.5km base range
Very heavily armored, with thick deck armor and well protected bow
Second highest hitpoint pool in the game, behind Kremlin
Has access to the long range and long lasting Hydroacoustic Search (While active, detects all enemy ships and torpedoes within the specified radius, without regard of obstacles such as smoke and terrain.) found on top tier German ships
The citadel sits below the waterline and is protected by a turtleback, making citadel penetrations from surface ships almost impossible
Cons:
The largest ship in the game, very difficult to sail unspotted or disengage
The AA suite is somewhat lacking, being rather weak at mid- and close range
Lowest base main battery range of all Tier 10 battleships
Massive turn radius and slow rudder shift time
Enormous superstructure is easily damaged and set on fire
Rather inadequate main turret armor for a brawling battleship
Poor torpedo protection
Very poor firing angles
Extremely vulnerable to fires and normal penetration damage - Hry

When you get a 400k damage game But still lose.
That's why you lose. When you start to rank up dmg above 150k that means that your team is crap. The total HP pool per team is a fixed number and if at least 60% of your team pulls weight, you won't be doing more than 120k-150k at best.

Ive seen a lot of High Dmg replays with bad Players blessed by rng.. But this guy played it so smart. really deserved the win there

And here I am playing CO-OP in my full secondary build kurfurst, struggling to get 300 hits while sitting 1km away from another kurfurst, and not using my main battery so I can get more time on target.
How do his secondaries get that little disperion without the manual secondary skill?

that is just the best possible case that can happen. good map with terrain cover and no CV. usually in more open map, you get spotted first and burnt up in flames cause everybody shooting you including a CV...

and yet for some reason my secondaries are NEVER this accurate even with all the dispersion buffs like the modules,flags and commander skills....is it because he is using a special commander?
Wargaming ninja nerfed secondary dispersion of bb's without including it in patch notes recently(somewhere between 9.4 and 9.5), base dispersion of GK secondaries is now 469m

Captain Skill
After the 100 secondary hit you get 15% faster secondary with legendary capitaine, 10% faster whit capitaine skill and 15% faster with legendary mod. In the end the 150mm shoot at 4.5 sec instead of 7.5 and the 128mm at 2.4 instead of 4 second. Note that legendary module also give you 10% faster main battery reload
HkNova 1 even lower. Adrenaline rush would be kicking in another 15% or so near the end

Don’t use the skill you have to target a ship for secondaries?
That captain is Gunther Lutjens and he is worth getting. Play a lot, farm resource/random containers and make coal missions when they appear. In less than half a year you have him (with some 15000 coal supercontainers, clan bonuses to each coal delivered and other things even earlier)

Turning would have given broadside to the enemy BB and torps for Yoshino. Too risky.

@@samuelschuler7705 As I remember some things you cant see in replays. So he probably have manual secondarys but its not visible on replay. Especially because his secondary guns aimed perfectly so it was impossible to have that without manual. btw my kurfurst is full manual sec. build and i cant wait to get that new iron cross perma camo from new incoming german event for it.

I feel like the German secondaries still should be better given how much the game meta is against them. I can rarely ever get more than 200 secondary hits in a match even with the Kurfurst. Even when we get to use them (which is quite rare in battle), they don't make up for the lack of main battery accuracy completely. Maybe, just maybe, the Graf Zeppelin secondaries might cover it.

Originally, yes. But navies tend to give ships the same names. For instance there's been multiple Queen Elizabeths or Alabama's.
Grosser Kürfurst in this game is of the H-class Battleships designed along plan Z.
It's basically Bismarck in laymen's terms with some changes here and there but brought to a scale you can scarcely imagine.
There has been a Grosser Kurfürst before, a sistership of the König. Of the König class battleships.
But she, along with most of the Imperial German fleet met it's fate on the bottom of Scapa Flow.
