    Nice review Mike. Hope to see an instructional video on the installation of the MCX kit and clutch adjustments in the future. We unfortunately don't have a Ledger type in our area! ;)

      Thanks! You can just call Chris, as he walks many of his customers on how to do the install. He's always willing to help. Cheers, Mike

    Great review Mike, you hit all the important points. Compared to G4 this G5 has way better handling, better seat, better brakes, and yes it feels similar to a 850. Also I was impressed with the 10.25 gauge, worked flawlessly with the BRP App. This is the best 4 stroke sled Ski-Doo ever built, no question in my opinion.

    Great review Mike, I'm sure the studs helped, but the change to a Ripsaw II vs. the original 1ply ripsaw (aka-slipsaw) is where most of the additional traction came from. We proved this years ago, and do swaps like you did to the Rip2 right from new. If you don't care about top speed, you should try the Rip2 1.5" on your next one, wicked traction!!

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      Thank you Barry! While the Rip II is a great track, the difference here is 100% in the studding. My Mach Z also had a Rip II and wouldn't hook up well with the 144 studs we put into it, so that tells me that the majority of traction difference is actually a result of the studding approach. I would love to try the 1.5" rip II but that means even longer studs which would make me a little more nervous! Cheers, Mike

    I noticed a huge difference with the front end from the G4 to the G5 and the brakes are amazing

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes 100%! It's just that much better than the G4. Thanks for watching! Cheers, Mike

    Hi Mike. Great review. I snow checked that same sled. Traded my Mach Z in. Did you change out the Torsion springs for the heavier ones ? I always end up doing that . Take care.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes. I forgot to talk about it in the video, but I swapped out for the big boy springs and it makes a huge difference. Cheers, Mike

    900r in a expedition extreme with the mcx 210 kit. That would be fun

    Hi Mike, love the video! Was curious what the gas mileage difference was with the 210 kit?? Have a 2023 with about 400 miles on it considering the 210 kit.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks so much! We were basically equal for fill ups at the pump all throughout my Gaspe tour. The only time you will really notice a difference is if you are really pinned on it - that's when you will use more fuel than a stocker. Chris explained that they can actually be better on fuel because typical trail riding, you might not be into the throttle as much with all of the extra power. For the most part, I didn't notice it any harder on fuel. Hope this helps. Cheers, Mike

    Hey Mike - need to elaborate on the 'big boy' torsion springs & your experience.
    Wanting to install them on this exact XRS sled. Hoping it doesn't impair the Smart-Shox.
    LINQ stuff, gear, gas can & me - is always 275+.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      This is a definite upgrade you need. Anybody 200lbs+ needs the bigger stiffer springs and it will make a huge difference in ride quality of the sled. It doesn't impair smartshox at all. Hope this helps. Cheers, Mike

    unless they change the throttle to all cable I’d have a tough time buyin one. hate the drive by wire on my 900 ace na and rode a Mach this season as well, slightly better but just can’t get used to it. otherwise awsome machine s. wonder how your Mach and this one compare in throttle feel/response ?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      They are the same stock but with the MCX kit, it's as good as it will get and close to instant power when in sport mode. Works great and this is how it should be. Cheers, Mike

    When you was at the Ski doo 25 release . Did they mention why the new steering and skis weren’t on the 900 R models.

      Spindles not steering

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes I believe we spoke about it in one of our videos. Apparently the new spindle design doesn't work with the wide body work. Panels will need to be revamped to accommodate the more horizontal a-arms. G5 900 is only one yr old also. Cheers, Jesse

    Highest video all ways my question in first 400p klm did you have to rep.ace any bogie wheel, rear, drive or make shafts earing if not when do you recommend replacement, Christopher Ottawa

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      Hey Christopher. I haven't replaced a bogey wheel in 10 years on any of these sleds. They are made much better than what they used to be. Cheers, Mike

    How does the mcx kit affect warranty on the sled?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      Any modifications like this to an engine will always void your warranty. Cheers, Mike

  • @MrGrobert1
    @MrGrobert1 Před 3 měsíci

    But you lose your warranty with Mcxpress 210 kit?

  • @KliqDon1983
    @KliqDon1983 Před 3 měsíci

    Warranty risk. Kit is hard on chain case and clutching. Not for me.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes it does void your warranty but the chain case issues I had were my own fault with adjustment. The chain cases can handle more power for sure and not something I'd be concerned about. Cheers, Mike
