The bruise is called a hematoma, from repeated blood draws; most likely for testing blood thinners.
It's quite common for the elderly to get leaky blood vessels. They also bruise very easily. Part of being fragile. They don't heal well either.

There were rainbows at BH as well as Windsor Castle and Balmoral.
After her dear husband passed - she could not live without him - he was always at her side and they were really in love for 70+ years. It was like part of her body died when Philip died! After his death she just could not cope with life! Prince Philip's funeral was so beautiful and so well done! Out of this world!
