I tried reaper in Alphascape & the amount of time I was using it to dodge all the AOEs was insane

Real glad I spent all of launch day leveling in Bozja. Been loving reaper to death (pun not intended) on my EW journey. I knew I'd love the class ever since it was revealed.
DOT- damage over time. Reaper doesn't have dots, it has a debuff.
I found this to be helpful to learn the basics. I have never played anything except white mage so I wanted to try something new. Thanks for outlining what the attacks do.
Quick correction: Death's Design is not a dot. There's no damage done from the effect. It's simply a debuff.
Edit: I'm only 80 right now so I don't know if it actually deals damage over time later on. But as of 80, it's just a debuff.

Nice and informative! Now I see I'm not the only one that crashes like that, and it usually happens mid trust dungeon and about the same time every time. I'm starting to think they are booting me for someone else to get in after playing a few hours. Then trying to get back in is a pain as the que is over 2k.

How did you remove the skill name from the floating dmg numbers? Edit: Oh it's your friends numbers that has no skill name. I would love to have that on my own abilities :O

This looks cool and I'm thinking of trying final fantasy only problem I see is Im not a fan of all the animations is there a way to turn those off? (I'm really sensitive to lights)
There are settings to show minimal or no effects on attacks, yeah! With separate settings for your own abilities, other players' abilities, and I think a third category I'm forgetting off the top of my head

I'm not sure if it is still around but there was a monster hunter world event. Where you fought a ratholos.
The event is permanent now. Stormblood , I think in Kugane, you can find the quest to go Monster Hunting. It is fun.

Bit of constructive criticism: turn battle music off when you're describing mechanics. It's really distracting when someone's trying to listen and learn to new stuff.
My dumbass forgot I could do bozja I farmed dungeons to 77 XD SO MUCH FUSTRATION AND TIME WASTED

Why would you ever use Shadow of Death over Whorl of Death if the effects are the same regardless? Wouldn't Whorl give you the same benefits even on a single target or am I wrong on this?
It would, yes, but whorl, being an AoE, has less potency, so you would lose some DPS.

Can they stack? Maybe you can double up on the debuff or get 20 SG?
@@dragonhearthx8369 Tested that, and no, it's the exact same debuff, just either single target or aoe. And yeah, generally you just want to use the single target one at least twice on a boss so it lasts a full 60 seconds, and then just do your other stuff while refreshing that at at least the 10 second mark.
As for aoe, it's actually really useful, cause whenever something dies while the debuff is on it, you get 10 to your Soul Gauge per kill.

Why would you tell people to debuff after you go for for max aoe…it’s not max aoe dmg if your missing 10% on all mobs …

use the trust system on lv71 dungeon and you will figure out in a couple of wipes that is what i did XD

the music of the game is very distractingly loud in this video and kind of pulls hearing you and it sounds like you are trying to inform someone of something cool in a really loud night club and we just nodded along with you

Has anyone been able to play? Day 2 and nothing but 2002 errors… finally get in an 8,000 que only to be booted out after an hour or so. Worst MMO launch Iv ever experienced and unacceptable for a billion dollar company in 2021 to have this many server issues.
It seems to be more with your internet connection and the stability, mine never crashes but my friend does all the time.
We usually have a 4-5k queue and while my bf is able to login after 30 mins on pc, I wasn't able to for two days on my ps4. We live together and my ps4 has always had connectivity issues so thia launch definitely pushed it to it's limit. Planning to get a pc soon, but the market right now is difficult.
