Wow, I actually did that when I was in college. Hard to get away with it in high school though.
You can stream from youtube with pretty low data since youtube allows you to choose low resolution. If I was doing that 10 years ago I can easily imagine someone else was.
Even at very low resolution 1GB of data which was relatively expensive at the time would only get you about 10 hours of CZcams videos, so it's unlikely she would use about a 10th of her data in class.

@@24magiccarrot That's a fair and reasonable point, and I fully expected you to come back with that, although it was implied in the video that she only watched one episode - "one of the ones with Bob Mortimer." Though I concede that perhaps she was accustomed to watching two but was caught by the teacher during the first. Not that any of this ever happened. Ho hum, it's all a rich tapestry.
I was going to suggest that maybe her school had wifi, in that case there would be no download limit.
When did Bob first do WILTY, actually? Not a regular watcher of full episodes but I thought Bob‘s ones were a bit more recent than 9 years ago
He started on series 6. We now on series 17
Series 6 in 2012 - I believe it was the episode where he breaks an apple in half with his bare hands, but I wouldn't swear by it.

I believed it. I did the same when I was in secondary school. Downloaded episodes of Friends in 3 parts off CZcams, converted them to 3gp files and put them on my phone to watch at school
me and the boys got quake on memory sticks and managed to set up a lan game, teacher was enthralled with it and let us do it for the lesson, what a time to be alive. this would have been 2012/2013

I downloaded tons of other games into the folder and had it on my USB stick. Before any lesson in a computer room, people in class would always ask for my USB stick so they could copy the whole folder over. I was like the nerdy version of a drug dealer giving out the "stuff". It was around 2007/2008 for me

@@xali2008 Completely disagree. She was TOO specific on the details. It's very hard to believe that she'd remember who featured on a random episode of the show she was watching about a decade ago. It's equally unlikely that she'd remember what was being covered in the lesson that she wasn't even paying attention to, again almost a decade ago.
