North Pennines - Talkin Fell And Gairs House

Take an evening walk in the North Pennines. We head from Talkin village to the former Gairs coal mine, then via the stunning views on Simmerson Hill across to the climax of the walk at Talkin Fell 🏔️🌤️🌊🌳

go up there right through the winter usually at night , whatever the weather , last tuesday evening it was 3c up on Cold fell , even the modest Talkin fell gives a great view over our city and the Solway

What a beautiful walk with great footage and interesting narrative.
I'll do this walk next weekend as I've not been up there before, only ever walking around Talkin Tarn.

Yes, at a first glance of the thumbnail I thought it was Nine Standards Rigg, I didn't actually know about those Talkin Fell curricks 👍
