Fun fact: the baby while being a boy in the movie was actually played by twin girls. Kristen and Kaitlyn Hooper portrayed the baby.
I would giggle so hard if someone brought my baby girl in with that little mustache for the role.

The camp counsellors (Peter MacNichol and Christine Baranski) are absolutely hilarious.

They and Debbie make such funny villains.
These were the movies that made Christina Ricci. Her delivery is spot on, especially in the bit where she talks about where babies come from.
My favorite is her struggling to smile and making it even creepier 😂

Charles Addams' macabre Addams Family cartoons ran in The New Yorker magazine from 1937 until his death in 1988.

Addams is on record as saying that the Addams Family TV show wasn't dark enough, and the characters were only "half as evil" as the characters in his cartoons. (But he was happy with all the money he made from it.) The movie was darker than the TV show, but was it dark enough for Charles Addams? I dunno.

The harmony hut is even more of a twisted idea, when you think what they have to watch. Bambi's mother gets shot, and the Von Trapp's in The Sound of Music have to leave their beautiful mansion behind to escape the Nazis. The reference from Carrie with Debbie's hand reaching up from the grave was such a nice touch.

Christine Baranski and Peter MacNicol are so awesome in this movie!
One of the few sequels that could stand up to the original. I adore this movie and it makes me smile every time. I do prefer the original a little more for the slower pace and atmosphere. This one tends to go a bit faster with the action. There is nothing at all wrong with that of course as both movies still hold the same dark charm.
"Who else could embody Gomez?" I love these movies, I really like Raul, but I won't have you besmirch John Austin.

Another great film where Joan Cusack is great, along with her brother, is Grosse Point Blank, somewhat forgotten, think you'd love it.
This movie is kinda known as "Wednesday's movie". So in the Wednesday series, the big bad is a ressutected pilgrim who hunted and killed Outcasts, (including some of Addams' ancestors), who shared the land with the natives, and stole their land when the pilgrims came to "the new world". One of Wednesday's ancestors killed him in return, and Wednesday later does the same. When you think about the storyline in the Wednesday series, you can tell that it was inspired by Wednesday's iconic Thanksgiving scene from this movie.
That was my toughts about it. Tim Burton did a good job
Joan Cusack is around 30 there - She's also in the underrated movie Hero (1992)
Sadly a year later Actor Raul Julia would have a stroke and go into a coma and die at age 54.

So happy u guys watched this finally!! I just love it .. I mean I love the first one but this one just gets me with the so many quotable lines.. I can quote every line and I laugh every time even now! Something sad and sweet is that Angelica Houston wouldnt do another movie and her reason was "not without my Gomez".. aaawwwe😢
I discovered the Addams family as a little girl, thanks to that movie. Despite being french, I did know about that coutumn about sharing breast 😂
What's kind of funny is the fact Debbie could really fit in their family.
It's weird because the scene of Joel exchanging cards with Pugsley and Wednesday isn't in the french version.
I'm surprised you didn't notice that Amanda was the little girl scout of the first movie.
My favourite film of all time! Been watching since I was a baby. Named my dog after Debbie Jellinsky! The takedown of conservative America brings me so much joy 😂

You should watch the Witches (1990) also starring Angelina Huston
Saw it when I was (probably) way too young. Anjelica Huston's character traumatized the crap out of me!
@Flix2Us it's a brilliant film. Return To Oz (1986) traumatized me as a kid especially the Weelers and The Headless Witch Mombi.
Worth noting: Raul Julia was dying of cancer throughout the filming of this...
