My fiance passed away in August 2023 from a terminal illness. We both really liked Avenged Sevenfold. Towards the end when she was comatose in her bed I played all of her favorite songs. She never heard this song before but I knew she would like it. She passed away peacefully in her bed at 3am and this was the last song she ever listened to. This song rips my heart out in a terrible but yet meaningful and peaceful way. You nailed it right on the head. I believe it's about a loved one letting go and transitioning into their next life. Telling us it will be okay. We will be together again.

From what I read, this song is a love letter to his wife Val in the sense that when they pass on, whether they are reborn into another life or in the afterlife, they will find each other and will always find each other no matter where they go.

I'm obsessed with this song. When this song came out my dog had passed away. This song had me crying ever single time. The second half of the lyrics I interpret it as, my dog describing heaven to me and assuring me we will meet again.

Sort of a similar situation with my cat, although it was about 1 month after the song came out. Her name was bean and in my head I was able to hear "there you'll find bean" rather than "there you'll find me" on that long walk I had while blasting this song on that sad day
So sorry to hear about your dog, but hopefully you will see each other again. My mom died just a few months before this album came out, so it has a really deep meaning for me as well, and every time I hear it I think of her.

The first time I heard this song, it blew my mind. The instrumentation and vibe was undeniable.
But the second time I listened, and it HIT.
It’s a love story, that no matter when or where in time and space, these 2 souls would find each other. Sometimes they got it right, sometimes not, but they would always find their way back to each other in another life.
The entire song takes you on a journey, each section of Syn’s solo is meaningful and deliberate, and the ending is indescribably touching. They did something truly special with this record.
I love the speechlessness at the end. Love your reactions to a7x girl. Keep ‘em coming!

Whats cool about Avenged is they have done stuff as this before with the experimentation, their full albums all have these slower songs or songs that start slow and pick up with heartbreaking lyrics, like i wont see you tonight part 1, and like warmness of the soul, but also songs like Higher and Roman Sky have songs as this that start slow and become belters. However, even with the voice distortion they did this on their self titled album with the song Lost. Such an underrated band really

Cosmic has that Exist kind of style! Exist starts off with that space like kind of vibe and suddenly the heavy part hits and the drums are phenomenal. Cosmic is like that but abit more style and groove. They are spectacular musicians and artists. Very creative on this new album.

I think this is one of the best A7x’s songs. Last year when the album came out, I was in of of the saddest and hardest times of my life. I lost some loved ones and this song expresses all the feelings I can’t describe with words. Every time I listen to Cosmic I break into tears but makes me feel better.

acid rain is really uderrated song, the emotions it brings from beautiful instruments and matt's amazing singing is something else

When the album dropped, I too dropped acid and walked along the beach while listening to it in its entirety. When Cosmic came on, it was such an emotional journey in and of itself that I went and stood next to the water to take it all in and reflect. When the last track came on, the piano combined with the sunset felt like the perfect curtain call to just an incredible listening experience.
This piece is like both ways moving to same place and someone save to each other
No matter how many time I listen to the end of that song. I immediately break down into tears. Great song. Hits way too close to home.

The song is about Loving one another till the ends of time, when he says "several lives" they mean from the beginning of time they had lived through different versions of themselves to find the same person that they love with each life time. Pretty much saying that even if they are separated they will find eachother again, even if it means failing multiple times before finding one another again. Its a really pretty song about loving someone and its grim in the sense that its only temporary.
This is one of the few songs I’ve teared up too, it’s such a beautiful song, one of my favourite A7X songs for sure
This song really is an entire journey in music form. And I'm not even saying it as a metaphor I think it literally is that.
The way the song is constructed to me feels like a space ship taking flight and going to outerspace. With the lyrics, its clearly more than that and have many meanings. But with the way the song starts, it sets the tone for the story. And then it goes to this sloe build up with these fantastic echo-y drums, that make it sound like a ship undocking or something. Its like the preparation of a luanch, and with the song being called Cosmic it was hard not to envision thats what it was on the first listen. The guitars slowly rise, as the journey is about to begin. And then it goes into that faster part of the song that almost sounds frenetic, with that great solo leading the way and the fast paced high hat/snare(idk whichh one it is lol) hits, really making it seem like an action packed scene. So to me, it felt like take off, and the danger and tension of that event. And then as it crescendos, the drop happens and we fall into this piano lluaby almost, and it just feels like they've hit space, and now we're slowly floating to our destination. And it's beautiful, there's a serenity in it, but also a sadness, a regret. But he's pushing on. Like theres an end goal, a destination he must get to. And I think the last part of the song feels like he gets there, but disaster happens. Or what he was looking for isnt what he expected. And the lyrics go back to that regret, repeating it over and over again, hoping someone will hear it, until he's just screaming at the end until it's cut off abruptly. End of the line, end of the story, as the music plays out.
So yeah to me it feels like the song was structured like a ship flying through space, even though lyrically its more than that. But i mean thats probably a comparison that could fit into the larger story they're telling either way so i wouldnt be surprised if it was fully intentional.

I think the lyrics relate to the existence of one’s energy floating in space after death. When Zacky Vengeance was asked in an interview about whether or not he is religious he said that he thinks everybody’s energy carries on and that he feels the presence of people he’s lost still with him. I think that’s the meaning behind the song. That the song is about someone who passed on telling his loved ones where he can be found floating out there

The story of this song, is about a couple in love, that die in this live, and meet again in a new life reborn, again and again.. they die, but unite again in the cosmic flow..
Proberly best song on this album, synester gates best guitar work, the drumroll at the end, and Matt also doing some great vocal stuff.. and a nice story, that you could call fantasy, but also something that might could happen if you belive in reincarnation, this idea of reunite with your loved ones in the next life..
The album is a big departure like you said once you heard the breakdown, but inna good way with a little bit of their old stuff mixed in here and there. More reactions.❤
Their stuff from city of evil all the way through nightmare and the stage, hell, even as early as Waking the Fallen, has aspects of their signature experimentation and change all over it. They never make the same thing twice in recommend sampling songs from all across their catalog.
