The “flexible” member, Kazuha, is a trained ballet dancer. I agree with you, Coach, about Sakura (sp?) not having enough lines. I’ve seen in other videos that she gets criticism for not being able to sing, and I don’t understand that at all. Thanks for reacting to this group again! 💕
Because it’s true her vocals are very weak the reason she sounds fine hear it’s because it’s edited final version ofc she sounds fine 😅 it’s sad but true she does have good stage presence and dances well though
@sand - Yeah, Sakura is an incredible veteran Idol performer but unfortunately dealt with insecurity coming into her re-debut. Even personally requesting fewer lines because she was hurt by online criticism and didn’t think she was good enough. Thankfully Le Sserafim has built her confidence back up. The girls stood by her, just as she has always cared for them as the “mom” of the group.

Been watching her since her jpop career to korea survival show izone and now this group. Sakura weakness point is her vocal abilities. She can sing better than an average person hence why shes in the group but for a singer her vocal abilities are weaker than others. She makes it up by her char-mastic aura and her personality

Chaewon, Sakura, and Heo Yunjin are former Produce 48 competition audition participants. Chaewon and Sakura were selected to work as IZ*ONE. Sakura's career spans over 10 years, starting with Japanese idol HKT48. This is our 3rd debut so far. That's why there's a lyric that says don't ignore my career.
Heo Yun-jin's debut on Produce 48 was canceled due to malicious editing. Asking to be allowed to stand in the center position was described as greedy. That story is in the lyrics.
Kazuha has been doing ballet for over 15 years. She was taking an elite ballet course, but one day she gave up everything and took on the challenge of becoming a Korean idol. She took an elite elite course and her goal was to become a world-class ballerina.
What they have in common is 'challenge'. I chose to leave behind the comfortable path and career of the past and start over again. That's what the lyrics of this song are about. So the team's name is Le Seraphim, which is a spelling of I Am Fearless. That is the identity of this team.
The person who went through the most patience was Yunjin Heo. She is American. She attempted to become a Korean idol at a young age, but was unable to debut. She gives up everything and returns to the United States to enter college. She paid the admission fee and then got a call from Hive. That’s how she joined. All the hardships and giving up she had to accept. She eventually became a member of Le Seraphim.
Le Seraphine is a leading group among 4th generation girl groups. There are members of IZ*ONE in many 4th generation girl groups. To properly understand this narrative, you must understand the narrative from Produce 48 to IZ*ONE. The story continues.

Sakura shines a lot in their slower songs like Impurities! It was my fav song last year. They worked with a Latin songwriter for Antifragile, it’s so unique!

Glad you loved this!! They are a fun, high energy group. Some of the best dancers in K-pop in my opinion. BTW…. They just performed live at an awards show last week (Golden Disc Awards) and they did a live collaboration with a legendary Korean Heavy Metal group called YB!!!!! Live singing, no backing track. It was super high energy with metal guitars, drums, lasers, and pyro!!!!!! 😲🔥

Great reaction, love LE SSERAFIM. If you're ever looking to do a non music reaction and learn more about them i'd say they have the most insightful pre-debut documentary out there called "The World Is My Oyster" (4 parts 20min each). Can learn their backgrounds, how they came together and kinda how kpop groups are formed in general. Especially since they also include some controversial moments and it's not all just sugarcoated (they did have to cut out Garam though unfortunately since it was made after her contract termination).

Yun-jin grew up in Albany. Sakura is Japanese. I think the multi-cultural groups are even stronger with their abilities to relate to non-Koreans. Wow, what a powerhouse group.
Wow! Another upbeat song, with these ladies really demonstrating just how strong and determined they are to follow their dreams, despite any hurdles they might encounter. That very flexible young lady looks as though she might have had gymnastic or ballet training. Good for her!

great group, I did get to see them Live at Blizzcon in LA, they sang the collab song Perfect Night because of the collab with the Overwatch video game, but they also sung Anti fragile and 4 other songs. some extra, since I am an overwatch player, there were in game skins for each of the 5 members all named Anti fragile as well as some other fun things including a game for them. I also got to watch them play overwatch at blizzcon. Great group, wonderful girls, they perform very well live. I am a new fan of theirs since November at Blizzcon, fun way to find a new group is a live performance. Incidentally my favorite group mamamoo also did blizzcon(HIP) a few years ago. Another great song is "Eve, Psyche and The Bluebeard's Wife"(yes that is the song title). So far I have liked every song they do.

I’d say ANTIFRAGILE was one track that really pushed LE SSERAFIM to more popularity. This song became a major hit and fast at that too. Also, if you were to ask what song depicts them the most as a group, I’d say this is THE ONE.
Yunjin also mentioned how important this song is to the girls in a magazine interview. Yunjin mentioned how the song actually represents them. She also quoted “the message we’re trying to convey is very concrete: that no matter what the world throws at us, we’ll find a way to persevere that works for us. So bring it on, world. I hope our ambition comes across well in the song.” This is all part of their group as a whole concept. They are very DAUNTLESS if you will. They are girls who LOVE a challenge and will never be sorry for overcoming anything the world has to throw at them. This is why their fandom name is “FEARNOT.”
This song is such a REPEATED bop till this day and easily one of their best songs and I can never find any other kpop stan who would disagree.

I'm just a casual watcher of Le Sserafim's works, but they've always struck me as great performers, especially in dance. Their choreography is always interesting, and they nail it every time.
That beat you mentioned as sounding unique is a very Latin-style beat. One of the writers on this song was a Honduran artist, Isabella Rodriguez, who I imagine was responsible for the beat ending up here, since it's a very similar sound to her own music (released under her exaggerated persona, Isabella Lovestory).

I was worried this was the track that didn't resonate with you both, because musically Le Sserafim are quite unique. Glad this got the CoachcastTV seal 🦭of approval. Sakura & Chaewon are my bias's in part because I was familiar with them from IZ*ONE (Sakura was already a bias from that group) but Chaewon (short hair) didn't really grab my attention until Le Sserafim - maybe because IZ*ONE had so many members and maybe just because I fell in love with so many of the others (Wonyoung from IVE, Chaeyeon - Chaeryeongs older sister, Sakura and Nako) BUT Chaewon has really risen to the top. Sakura is still a top tier bias though and her cover of 'That's Okay' is stunning - it truly is amazing she doesn't have more lines.
According to the line distribution video (yes fans make these all the time) Sakura was third out of the five with the most lines.

Sakura gets less lines due to people constantly bullying her about her singing and saying she can’t sing to the point she doesn’t want many lines. As a Sakura (and Yunjin) stan I’m with you I wish she had more lines!!! Impurities is a good Sakura song 🥰
I love this group and this song is so catchy. Mrs. Coach is very sharp and knew what to expect at the end. lol. If you like Le Sserafim, you may also like NewJeans. They are both under the same Label HYBE, but operates under different companies. I hope it's ok to post this here because I'm not sure where else to request for NewJeans reactions. NewJeans has been dominating 2023. There songs are super catchy and their M/V are mindblowing especially ones with side A/B (Ditto and Cool with You). OMG is also a great video. You might not understand the meaning of these videos and will most likely get confused but I'm sure there will be plenty of people here that can explain the story/messages behind each one. I was mindblow when I learned about what some of the videos were about. NOTE: not all these M/V has a message.

I agree Sakura doesn’t get enough lines. It makes me sad because she’s my bias, people say it’s because she has weak vocals compared to the other members, but I think as an alternative they could give her some more rap lines. In the next song Unforgiven you’ll see she has a short rap verse which sounded great in my opinion, so I wish they would give her more lines in that style!

Sakura doesn’t get a lot of lines in any group not just this one. Her previous temporary group “izone” also. She has been in 3 different group. One from japan, one temporary in korean and this final permanent group. Been watching her since her jpop career to korea survival show izone and now this group. The B-Sides drew me into Le Sserafim at debut, the I'm Fearless MV didn't really hit me, but Blue Flame was a massive repeat. This Anti-Fragile comeback was where I decided this was a group I was going to keep up with going forward and Chaewon with her perfectly framing bob haircut and fuzzy hat was the main character for me then. I have liked them a little more with each release. Yunjn and Euncahe definitely show their sass as well on and off-stage. There's quite a few funny videos of the other members trying to do Kazuha's ballet kick. I can't wait until you get to Eve, Psyche, and The Bluebeard's Wife.
The other day when you were talking about unfair talent distribution among humans, Yunjin is one of the people who I think of. Not only is she and idol and also did classical music singing, but she is writing and performing her own songs while playing guitar on stage. They are part of the biggest kpop entertainment company in the planet (HYBE).. The same company that made BTS and NewJeans.
You should check NewJeans out next since they are sisters of LE SSERAFIM and BTS. Check their songs: Ditto (side A and Side B), HypeBoy, Cool With You, Super Shy, Attention.. the rest you can figure it out as you go haha
NewJeans is the biggest girlgroup and overall group of this decade and the biggest kpop girlgroup that has come out in recent years since BLACKPINK (blackpink debuted 7 years ago).. They won Artist of the year, performance of the year and song of the year in Kpop music awards.

Technically correct, though not her name. Cherry blossom is 桜, also pronounced "sakura", and some people indeed have that name. But our Sakura is 咲良, meaning "blossom" (any, not limited to cherry) and "good".

I first noticed Le Sserafim with this mv, and was quite taken with them. Then I tracked backwards to Fearless and of course noticed a sixth member. I want to emphasize that I still like the group and respect the members' talents--I think they are one of the best 'team' choreography/dance groups in kpop. But Le SSerafim's history, sad to say, presents another example of a couple of the worst aspects of the industry. As you note, the willingness of the companies to sacrifice individuals to avoid empowered 'netizen haters' is just bad. (Le Sserafim's company, Source Music, is either a division or a subsidiary of kpop giant Hybe, and could do better.) Even worse is the industry's willingness to put extremely young people out there, exposed to such situations, which was the case here. Kim Garam was only 16 when she debuted with Le Sserafim in May, 2022, and she was terminated a mere two months or so later. I can't imagine having to go through that at that age. By comparison, Soojin of (g)i-dle was 20 at debut, spent three years with the group, and has had the continuing tacit support of (g)i-dle, and especially Soyeon, since dismissal. That's still bad, but not as bad. I was especially disappointed with an in-house documentary posted by Hybe about the pre-debut behind-the-scenes development of Le Sserafim, called The World is My Oyster. They literally edited/cropped Kim Garam out as if she had never been there. Terrible. Sigh. Anyway...I'm still a fan, and I'm going to recommend video of Le SSerafim's performance at the 2022 MMA (Melon Music Awards) show, which starts with a balletic solo by Kazuha. I don't know if it would stay up for a reaction, but it's a fun watch! Cheers

We definitely don't like everything, stay tuned to a few reactions coming in the next few days. Music is an art and art appeals to people differently. We liked this one. If you don't, that's certainly within your rights. But it's solely an opinion and certainly not based in any factual observations.
@@CoachCastTV well im with kpop from 2015 - do you know why so many people went out from western pop music to Kpop? Becasue they had enough shitty and dirty western MV, untalented people, who can't sing. We had enough shaking fat asses, trowing money in mv......But Since 2018 when kpop groups like BP and BTS starts dominate even western pop music, MANY new "fans" came to kpop becasue that was trendy. And many reactors show up and made HUGE channels just because they screamed when they react to kpop MV. AN Toxic fans blinded with love, support only these channels who react to MAIN stream Kpop groups(BP, BTS, EXO, Twice, Dreamcather, (G)I-dle, Stray kids) and prised everything even if many true old fans didn't liked. Generally even bad kpop songs are a bit better than random western music, just because korean idols CAN SING! and they dance crazy....but 98% of them don't create own music, which can be good or bad, even if you love some idols. And underrated channels which many of them, reacting to low teir groups too, and when they are honest they don't get views/subs. So old fans came to kpop becasue of quality, and difference of culture. If kpop groups trying be too much western - they LOOSE identity of kpop. and this song and this group is lost for me as kpop group, until they make something really good!
