And this is fundamental because Dragon Ball was a Manga first, Anime second. As a Manga, Toriyama _has_ wrote one sided beatdowns before, they last less than a chapter, it doesn't pan out well, unlike a tv show. However, pure ungah-bungah fights are something fans always ask, even if they don't realize the how it robs the audience of catharsis/joy and downplays the loser. It's the whole premise the old One Punch Man would poke fun of, it even robbed the joy of a fight right out of the protagonist in that. And yes, Ultra Perfect Cell vs SS2 Gohan would have been a one sided beat down with Gohan destroying him.

This led to Gohan getting injured and it nearly allowed Cell to win (if not for Goku helping out again). Even Vegeta admitted here that he is nothing but a liability. Which he always has been. Vegeta vowed not to fight again because of this.... And then next time Vegeta fights he actively and knowingly contributed the most to releasing Buu from his seal. Literally every major threat (and some minor threats) in Z are a direct result of Vegeta.

I agree, but i have one problem with this, you say without interference, in that case, Vegeta cannot be allowed to interfere with the fight as it will just unfold everything that occurred, so we'd still end up with and unwavering Gohan, physically speaking anyways. Unless you really want to give Gohan that handicap which i don't personally think is fair as it's a drastic impact on the fight itself.

This is dumb video and argument. Do you really think vegeta’s little ki blast really weaken super perfect cell enough that gohan was able to win? Nah, as Goku pointed out; Gohan was holding back because he was worried about the Earth being destroyed in the KamehameClash. Even at 50% and one arm, Gohan had the power to match Super Perfect Cell and still hold back using his full power. The moment Gohan let it all out was the moment Cell was blown to oblivion. To be fair it's cannon that any regen ability not provided by senzu's or immortality heavily drain energy to use. So Cell regenerating from a single cell or his core in the japanese dub likely reduced his power by allot. And that is in spite of the fact he became super perfect after almost dying to his self destruct.
Vegeta was such a shock to come in Lets say Piccolo had equal or more power than Vegeta, it wouldn't have made a difference The fact that it was _Vegeta_ of ALL people, to smack Cell, threw off his focus, and gave Cell doubt for even a split second "-wait, if Vegeta is stepping in... this means I can still lose?!" and that split second was the finisher.
On another note, and outside of the obvious narrative reason; I never understood why Cell didn't simply use his instant transmission to dodge Gohan's counter. I get that he probably wasn't proficient enough in using it offensively like Goku did against him, but considering how quickly after his resurrection he was able to effortlessly teleport over the same distance as Goku, I would have assumed that he'd be able to use it at least defensively.
Cell didn't just want to kill Gohan and the others, he wanted to dominate Gohan. He even challenged Gohan to "Show me the depths of your resistance!" when he launched his Kamehameha.
Son Goku and Vegeta pulled off Veteran Moves. Goku was that True Martial Artist and Warrior. Vegeta was a Hardened Warrior. They displayed the importance of Experience. 👊👊✊✊👏👏👏👌👌

If Tien could stopped imperfect cell with tribeam and everybody can copy each other's techniques. Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan or Goku could have used Tiens tribeam, how strong would it be. Could they one shot Cell or Cell one shot them all? 🤔
That is a lie. Many of the Fanbase speculated that sell knew this technique. But this is not a technique that can be transferred through osmosis. Just like Goku black doesn’t know this technique. Because you actually have to train to get it. So no Sal could’ve never use a technique that he has no knowledge of no experience with and no trial and error of. Evidence to support what I’m saying to be the truth is, cell when he was at his most desperate never used the Kaio-Ken technique. Why? He is aware of the technique, but he doesn’t know anything about how to utilize it to amplify his own power level. Just like Yonka Tienshinhan and KERWIN don’t have any knowledge on how to use it even though they are aware that this technique exists. While we’re at it I’m thoroughly convinced that cell does not know how to use a spare ball. Because he never trained to master his energy and which the technique was required to utilize it. The only person who is trained in both of these godly techniques are Goku. And the only way for anybody else to learn about these techniques in order to use them in combat would be able to train in it. Point blank period. The video game messed up a lot of fans because it shows cell using the spirit bomb. But if cells that desperate in the anime and manga he would’ve use the spirit bomb or the other godly technique. But he used neither of them because he didn’t know how to use them.
Gohan's cockiness, was and still is a detrement to his character. And it should have been the reason Perfect Cell would have won this fight. I believe one of the games covers this. However getting distracted by Vegeta's well timed attack and encouragement from his father flipped the script on Perfect Cell, getting Gohan the win.
More like goku was lucky that gohan unlocked ssj2. His entire plan was based on gohans hidden potential, which is not the same as ssj. Goku couldve gotten ssj2 on his own, but instead just stood there with a smile seeing his son get beaten down, until piccolo got him to realize his mistake.
Gohan was at 50% with only one arm, and was still holding back (as stated by Goku), yet he managed to match evenly with Super Perfect Cell's Kamehameha. SSJ1 Buu saga Gohan (who was not fully healed by Kibito) was almost keeping up with Dabura, who was stated to be stronger than Super Perfect Cell by Goku. So 100% SSJ2 Gohan would've smoked Super Perfect Cell easily. Heck, I reckon SSJ1 Gohan (Cell saga OR Buu saga - doesn't matter) would still beat Super Perfect Cell.

Once Goku told Gohan to unleash ALL of his power, Gohan blew Cell away. That means an injured 50% SSJ2 Gohan was still above Super Perfect Cell levels. And if SSJ2 is 2x SSJ1, that also means SSJ1 Gohan is above Super Perfect Cell levels. Gohan went SSJ2 against Kibito in the tournament, then got drained. Kibito healed Gohan but not fully. It wasn't until he had a senzu after fighting Dabura that he fully healed. The way Toriyama drew Gohan in his fight against Dabura; it's clear he was only SSJ1 during that fight. Goku initially estimated Dabura was around Cell's level, then after seeing Dabura and Gohan fight for a bit, he corrected himself and said Dabura is stronger than he thought. Buu saga Vegeta does say Gohan was stronger as a kid. But the fact that SSJ1 Gohan could keep up with Dabura, who was above Super Perfect Cell levels, implies SSJ1 Gohan in the Buu saga is above Super Perfect Cell levels. Which only emphasizes Cell Saga SSJ1 Gohan was as well.

The same way Goku nearly died to a laser attack. Or got hurt by the rock Krillin threw at his head. Gohan was focused on reaching Vegeta as fast as he can to get him out of the way of the blast, he wasn't expecting to get hit by the blast itself and wasn't defending himself against it.
Because Gohan’s focus wasn’t on tanking the blast. His intention was to move fast enough to grab Vegetable out of the way; like he did with Recoome. The problem is, Gohan wasn’t fast enough, probably due to being caught off guard and still being upset about Goku’s death.

Gohan wasn’t at full power. He had just powered back up to SS2 and was still in a suppressed state when he had to go and save Vegeta, meaning he didn’t have time to power up to a level that would’ve allowed him to tank the blast. Gohan SS2 at 100% absolutely smokes Super Perfect Cell, this is proven by the fact that even severely damaged and weakened he was still able to not only eventually overpower Cell, but also completely obliterate him. Gohan simply had the misfortune of taking heavy damage before he could go to full power.

To be fair it's cannon that any regen ability not provided by senzu's or immortality heavily drain energy to use.
So Cell regenerating from a single cell or his core in the japanese dub likely reduced his power by allot.
And that is in spite of the fact he became super perfect after almost dying to his self destruct.

The fact that it was _Vegeta_ of ALL people, to smack Cell, threw off his focus, and gave Cell doubt for even a split second "-wait, if Vegeta is stepping in... this means I can still lose?!" and that split second was the finisher.

On another note, and outside of the obvious narrative reason; I never understood why Cell didn't simply use his instant transmission to dodge Gohan's counter. I get that he probably wasn't proficient enough in using it offensively like Goku did against him, but considering how quickly after his resurrection he was able to effortlessly teleport over the same distance as Goku, I would have assumed that he'd be able to use it at least defensively.
Goku has shown multiple times it requires focus, and a lot of it. Cell would never be able to gather enough focus at that time.

That is a lie. Many of the Fanbase speculated that sell knew this technique. But this is not a technique that can be transferred through osmosis. Just like Goku black doesn’t know this technique. Because you actually have to train to get it. So no Sal could’ve never use a technique that he has no knowledge of no experience with and no trial and error of.
Evidence to support what I’m saying to be the truth is, cell when he was at his most desperate never used the Kaio-Ken technique. Why? He is aware of the technique, but he doesn’t know anything about how to utilize it to amplify his own power level. Just like Yonka Tienshinhan and KERWIN don’t have any knowledge on how to use it even though they are aware that this technique exists.
While we’re at it I’m thoroughly convinced that cell does not know how to use a spare ball. Because he never trained to master his energy and which the technique was required to utilize it. The only person who is trained in both of these godly techniques are Goku. And the only way for anybody else to learn about these techniques in order to use them in combat would be able to train in it. Point blank period.
The video game messed up a lot of fans because it shows cell using the spirit bomb. But if cells that desperate in the anime and manga he would’ve use the spirit bomb or the other godly technique. But he used neither of them because he didn’t know how to use them.

Gohan's cockiness, was and still is a detrement to his character. And it should have been the reason Perfect Cell would have won this fight. I believe one of the games covers this.
However getting distracted by Vegeta's well timed attack and encouragement from his father flipped the script on Perfect Cell, getting Gohan the win.

More like goku was lucky that gohan unlocked ssj2. His entire plan was based on gohans hidden potential, which is not the same as ssj. Goku couldve gotten ssj2 on his own, but instead just stood there with a smile seeing his son get beaten down, until piccolo got him to realize his mistake.

SSJ1 Buu saga Gohan (who was not fully healed by Kibito) was almost keeping up with Dabura, who was stated to be stronger than Super Perfect Cell by Goku.
So 100% SSJ2 Gohan would've smoked Super Perfect Cell easily.
Heck, I reckon SSJ1 Gohan (Cell saga OR Buu saga - doesn't matter) would still beat Super Perfect Cell.

SSJ2 50% one-armed Gohan, who was HOLDING BACK was evenly matched with Super Perfect Cell. Once Goku told Gohan to unleash ALL of his power, Gohan blew Cell away. That means an injured 50% SSJ2 Gohan was still above Super Perfect Cell levels. And if SSJ2 is 2x SSJ1, that also means SSJ1 Gohan is above Super Perfect Cell levels.
Gohan went SSJ2 against Kibito in the tournament, then got drained. Kibito healed Gohan but not fully. It wasn't until he had a senzu after fighting Dabura that he fully healed. The way Toriyama drew Gohan in his fight against Dabura; it's clear he was only SSJ1 during that fight.
Goku initially estimated Dabura was around Cell's level, then after seeing Dabura and Gohan fight for a bit, he corrected himself and said Dabura is stronger than he thought.
Buu saga Vegeta does say Gohan was stronger as a kid. But the fact that SSJ1 Gohan could keep up with Dabura, who was above Super Perfect Cell levels, implies SSJ1 Gohan in the Buu saga is above Super Perfect Cell levels. Which only emphasizes Cell Saga SSJ1 Gohan was as well.

Gohan didn't have the lightning, and he had a different shaped aura (he had the SSJ1 aura). Look at SSJ2 Vegeta stood next to SSJ1 Trunks and Goten.
The time Gohan went SSJ2 in the tournament against Kibito, as well as both Goku and Vegeta during their fight later on, as well as SSJ2 Vegeta standing next to SSJ1 Goten and Trunks - their aura's and lightning were all consistently drawn in their various forms.

I'm sorry but I'll never believe Gohan was still stronger after cell came back to life. If Gohan was stronger why would the pitiful blast hurt Gohan so bad
The same way Goku nearly died to a laser attack. Or got hurt by the rock Krillin threw at his head. Gohan was focused on reaching Vegeta as fast as he can to get him out of the way of the blast, he wasn't expecting to get hit by the blast itself and wasn't defending himself against it.
Because Gohan’s focus wasn’t on tanking the blast.
His intention was to move fast enough to grab Vegetable out of the way; like he did with Recoome.
The problem is, Gohan wasn’t fast enough, probably due to being caught off guard and still being upset about Goku’s death.

Gohan wasn’t at full power. He had just powered back up to SS2 and was still in a suppressed state when he had to go and save Vegeta, meaning he didn’t have time to power up to a level that would’ve allowed him to tank the blast. Gohan SS2 at 100% absolutely smokes Super Perfect Cell, this is proven by the fact that even severely damaged and weakened he was still able to not only eventually overpower Cell, but also completely obliterate him. Gohan simply had the misfortune of taking heavy damage before he could go to full power.
