I will only disagree that SSJ3 stands as a better representation of Goku's character over SSJ4. Goku gaining that form was him mastering his Saiyan self as himself. Nah, SSJ4’s only requirements were “Have Super Saiyan” and “Master the Oozaru”, it is literally just the incarnation of Saiyan Talent. Even TUI is more Goku(Actually if TUI wasn’t Lore ‘Breaking’ it would be great). It be one thing if Baby couldn’t use SSJ4 because he never earned his version of SSJ3(He absorbed a bunch of Negative Energy from his minions btw) while Goku unlocked Super Saiyan 3 through immense effort and training. But nope, Baby just wasn’t Saiyan enough. SSJ3 is representative of Goku. If he wasn’t willing to let go Life and let the next generation do their work, thus passing on to the Otherworld, he could not use SSJ3. If he wasn’t willing to put in the effort and hard work, to the point of point he could somewhat match Vegeta with a Majin Boost, instead of riding on with Raw Talent, he could not earn SSJ3. Lastly, this goes for DBS Goku too. Goku took Master Roshi’s Philosophy to Heart. He worked hard, but he also rested well unlike Vegeta. This would increase his S-Cell Count, allowing him to achieve better transformations faster. Even while Vegeta and Goku were roughly the same strength, Kakarot really was one step ahead. If Goku didn’t have the personality and work ethic of Goku, he wouldn’t have achieved SSJ3. It’s still my opinion that SSJ3>SSJ4 despite looking less cool so you do you.

What I like about SSJ3 is that before Ultimate Gohan it was hinted that nothing could match Majin Buu besides fusion. SSJ2s had so far failed against him. Outside context tactics were required. Goku on the other hand was the only who could single-handedly rival Buu through brute power.

I read the manga and in my native language (Swedish) the forms had one classification. First was Super Saiyajin. Then came Ultra Saiyajin. Last came Threefold Super Saiyajin. There was never any talk of grades apart from the buff form of Super Saiyajin being what a weaker person could accomplish toward Ultra Saiyajin. It was a power amp with a speed cut just like what you always talk about. That is the only way I ever see them. I honestly do not know the grades and tried to find anything comprehensive to latch onto but the grades seem meaningless. Grade 1 is Super Saiyajin, but the three next grades are either Grade 1 or Ultra Saiyajin with a speed cut because it is done improperly. It is best compared to the screwed up fusions between Trunks and Goten. The fusions were strictly worse, but I see no better comparison.

Yea I agree that kaioken and just multipliers in general just broke any good writing in terms of progression. I dont think SSJ1 or any of them should be Multipliers. They should be fixed amounts, so they eventually become useless and require the next level to be relevant., Which they are anyways so it wouldnt change that outcome, just fix the actual scaling issue. Also another reason why SSJ1 should have been a fixed amount, What if goku went ssj1 when he landed on namek, instead of fighting Ginyu. that power would have been a joke for frieza if he got to transform. The power of legend which he was afraid of, it would make sense its above his power regardless of their base level. The benefit of what I mentioned above to is that other characters would have a better chance to keep up to a certain degree. What I like about SSJ3 is that before Ultimate Gohan it was hinted that nothing could match Majin Buu besides fusion. SSJ2s had so far failed against him. Outside context tactics were required. Goku on the other hand was the only who could single-handedly rival Buu through brute power.

While I will respect your opinion I want to figure out if when you say ultra instinct if you mean omen/sign or mastered and I personally don't like blue as it's just a soulless form to gain money and out of all the super Saiyan forms has the worst showing and track record making it look and feel weak and lackluster in comparison ssjg doesn't suffer the same issue because it allowed Goku to fight on a similar lvl to the god of destruction who earlier one tapped his previous strongest form and then beat the rest of the z fighters
I read the manga and in my native language (Swedish) the forms had one classification.
First was Super Saiyajin. Then came Ultra Saiyajin.
Last came Threefold Super Saiyajin.
There was never any talk of grades apart from the buff form of Super Saiyajin being what a weaker person could accomplish toward Ultra Saiyajin. It was a power amp with a speed cut just like what you always talk about.
That is the only way I ever see them. I honestly do not know the grades and tried to find anything comprehensive to latch onto but the grades seem meaningless. Grade 1 is Super Saiyajin, but the three next grades are either Grade 1 or Ultra Saiyajin with a speed cut because it is done improperly. It is best compared to the screwed up fusions between Trunks and Goten. The fusions were strictly worse, but I see no better comparison.

Yea I agree that kaioken and just multipliers in general just broke any good writing in terms of progression. I dont think SSJ1 or any of them should be Multipliers. They should be fixed amounts, so they eventually become useless and require the next level to be relevant., Which they are anyways so it wouldnt change that outcome, just fix the actual scaling issue. Also another reason why SSJ1 should have been a fixed amount, What if goku went ssj1 when he landed on namek, instead of fighting Ginyu. that power would have been a joke for frieza if he got to transform. The power of legend which he was afraid of, it would make sense its above his power regardless of their base level.
The benefit of what I mentioned above to is that other characters would have a better chance to keep up to a certain degree. But because its multipliers and they stack, It makes everything so exponential. and saiyans just absurdly broken.
I should also add, I feel Frieza 100% should have been at 1 million power level. It being 120 million just feels dumb to me.
