ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

Yannis, the singer made his own vocal cover of Ghost Love Score and it's pretty damn impressive.
Didn't like it, personally - but I like this.
It was impressive, haven't decided if I love it, but definitely impressed.

Beast in Black is one of those few bands that come around every so often that completely shatters your expectations of what good metal can really be. They have two albums out now and there isn't a single bad song on EITHER of them....you will LOVE this band....TRUST ME!!!!
I wished when they supported Nightwish in Manchester their sound was balanced differently. They balanced it for aggressive metal and a lot of the delicate aspects of their music was lost. I didn't enjoy them live but fell in love with their studio album. I hope to catch them live again and hopefully, I'll enjoy their sound setup better.

@@NicholasCorvin both are masterpieces. Ghost in the rain is their best song (on the first LP) IMO but From Hell With Love 2nd LP is absolutly perfect from first To last song. And don't forget incredible cover of There's No Easy way out. Beast in Black is the best new métal band. Period.

I think Oceandeep shows best the vocal range that Yannis has, because it keeps building with every chorus, starting with soft and melodic and ending with really heavy and hard vocals.

A friend of mine had heard these guys and was *convinced* the singer was female. Imagine her surprise when she saw them live when they opened up for Nightwish. There was much confusion. lol

I thought this song was a duo at first. Until I saw the video and realized, after a while, that I was wrong. XD
First time I heard it, I was convinced it was a duet with a female vocalist.
My sister and mother heard this song on the radio and thought it was Nightwish with Tarja. I had to take a couple of deep breaths to recover from it lol. And my sister has seen Nightwish like twice, I think

I had THE BIGGEST GRIN while watching! I've been hoping you to react to them for such a long time. Beast in Black is one of my all time favourite bands.
They mainly come from Finland except Yannis Papadopoulos being the Greek vocal warrior of the band. In my opinion Yannis is one of the most amazing vocalists out there.
Definitely my all time favourite male singer. Also I've seen them live, and they definitely give their everything and put on the most unforgettable shows.
If you want to see something mind blowing then i suggest you watch the Ghost Love Score - Vocal cover by Yannis. Thank you Rebecca for this and everything.

@Arcthosa agreed, I have been waiting for to come across this, and his cover of Ghost Love Score can compete with the original to the point at times they are indistinguishable.
@arcthosa - "One of your all time favourite bands"....I guess that's possible about a band that's formed 4 years ago, but makes me giggle a bit. ;)

It’s amazing
Recently someone put his version together with the Wacken performance of nightwish. Yannis seems to match her vocal range which is incredible. It should be easy to find when you look for 'ghost love score duet yannis'. These two performers are ridiculously talented.

I prefer Ocean Deep but they're two excellent songs!!
I've now been listening both cd's so many times that can't even begin to count how many, especially Berserker and honestly haven't heard a bad song from these guys yet, none of the songs aren't even little bit boring yet. I wrote earlier that IMHO Yannis's singing skills and Anton's songwriting skills are purely match made in heaven.
He has done a cover for Ghost Love Score as well. You should listen that.
Finally reacting to Yannis
Remember this band, they will write history. The last days i listen to their song "No Surrender" in loop mode.... more than 100 times per day. Addiction!
I've seen them live twice now and can positively confirm that Yannis, the vocalist, is as awesome live as he sounds here in the studio. This is one of the best up and coming european Power Metal bands and if they work on it, I absolutely expect to see them headline Wacken one day. As others have said, Yannis Papadopulos has done this incredibly brillant Ghost Love Score cover , but I'd also love you to react to their official lyric video of "Born Again".

Definitely check out From Hell with Love or Sweet True Lies. Yannis has such an amazing voice but the rest of the band is also incredible.

Every song is sheer magic. They are all amazing together and I haven’t heard anything I just didn’t love. SkyLight Gameuse, I honestly think that is one of my favorite songs they’ve done. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
The singers full name is Yannis Papadopoulos, look him upon youtube, this guy has a amazing voice! And like other people told you his cover of Ghost Love Score is great! Another great singer on youtube Dan Vasc look him up aswell!!

This was the first song I had listened to from Beast in Black and I immediately fell in love with his voice, it is rare for a guy to have such range and control over their voice.

Yannis Papadopoulos (the singer ofc) has a cover of the Nightwish song "Ghost Love Score" on his personal youtube channel. It is done in a similar style as Floors performance which you've already reacted to. Would love to hear/see your reactions to this some day! :)
I also wanna mention Oceandeep from their newest album. I really like the way it shows his different capabilities/contrasts, while also being a beautiful rock ballad. Hope/think you can like it.

Yes he is a great new voice for this genre. Yannis Papadopoulos has his own youtube channel with crazy different covers. Yes there is THE Ghost Love Score. But also versions of Kill the King (Rainbow) and Writing's on the wall (Sam Smith) and many others (to make good reactions from 😉)

If i may suggest , this man's brilliant cover on Nightwish's Ghost love score truly showcases both his versatility and amazing range. In addition, that particular video is shot in a very clever way, enabling you to literally understand every breath he takes.

It's good to see you finally checked out Beast in Black! Your reaction is probably what most of us had the first time. The first time you hear that metal scream followed by a growl, and then going into a very light head voice. It is attention grabbing. The music is catchy, maybe a little cheesy with the synth, but he's a powerhouse. A few of us have mentioned how he also has a recording of Ghost Love Score on his youtube channel. It won't be the same as listening to Floor sing it. But still, a dude being able to sing that, it would give you a double take.

awesome, not even watched yet, but been waiting for this one for a while, i have suggested this one a few time in the past, so couldn't click fast enough when it popped up on my feed.
and it didn't disappoint. also funny you mentioned Europe, thier second album has a lot of 80's synth including one that literally sounds like it's going to be the final countdown at the start.

Epica - Chasing the Dragon live at Retrospect! It's symphonic metal like Nightwish.
Yes yes yes, finally. I love how much you were into this. The straddle the weird balance between brilliance and mediocrity. But they got undeniable skill. If you want something vaguely similar but with a different singer to react to try Battle Beast. Yeah another band with Beast in the name and they used to share some members... Equally catchy and corny power metal. Still great though! :D
Yup, specifically the songs when Anton Kabannen (the former lead of Battle Beast, fouder of Beast in Black, probably you knew this but I add the reference anyways in case we are lucky and Rebecca reads this) which are the first two Battle Beast albums.
You should hear him live. Saw him for first time in rhapsody of fire concert.... AMAZING!
Fun fact, this song is off their album Berserker, a concept album based on the manga/anime Berserk.

You MUST listen to Ghost in the rain by the same band, or Oceandeep, those two songs made me tear up... Yannis knows how to portray the emotion through his singing which is what makes this band amazing. Anyways, amazing reaction, going back to lurk! Keep up with good work!
