It might be worth consulting with a new provider…

I didn't get diagnosed for years either until today, I just tried a doctor near my new home.
The previous doctor said there's nothing wrong but I should get married fast (sex before marriage in my country is illegal) and gave me folic acid and...I don't remember the medicine but apparently it forces period.

My obgyn told me to lose weight and it solve all my problems. And then I talked to another doctor and she said that I have Pcos.

How does one lose weight if PCOS contributes to weight gain?

  • @Birthdaycakesmom

Could they try experimenting with a protective silicone coat over the ovary that would gently keep the cysts from forming except at the prime location, creating a soothing and balanced environment for the ovary to shed and move. Like a pimple, the coat would push the cyst back inside and allow the ovary to reabsorb the fluid? Kind of like how you push a pimple in to lessen the severity and let the white blood cells fight the bacteria on the inside rather than cause abrasions on the skin? Almost like compression therapy for an overactive nervous system, also impacted by hormones.

Now there is strong evidence that men have the same condition minus the ovaries, essentially the same hormonal profiling along with being very prone to cardiovascular and metabolic issues, this also explains male pattern baldness in young men, they likely inherit it from their mother, either way it does run in families, might be inside the womb.

How it's diagnosed: you go to the doctor with obvious symptoms... they tell you your just "stressed" or "not taking care of yourself" (whatever that means) the next step is to just put a bandaid on it and by that I mean throw BC pills at you as the fix-all, without at further testing.... and so on

Ugh that is disappointing for sure. Maybe time to look into a new provider?

I was diagnosed with PCOS 8 years ago and I can remember how I felt when the doctor told me I won’t be able to conceive, I have had successful pregnancies and now I’m a mother of 3 and I have been able to live with my condition comfortably just with the use of quality natural herbs.

I was told to lose weight and it woukd solve all my problems. Then I talked to another doctor and she said that I definitely have Pcos. Does having a vitamin D deficiency and high cholesterol a part of Pcos?
