First off. Awesome game in that boat. Second… I find the lower tiers more fun and more powerful. Tier 4 namely. And the Premium Tier 5 Leone. Lots of guns. Super tight. And fast reload on those torps still are effective at only 4. Tier 6,7 Tech tree DD I find much more difficult to play. BUT… when u get to the Emilio… incredible. Fun. And a Beast. Namely because this is the torp boat to have at tier 7. An all Tank build. Sims,Trubetskov for inspiration. Always look for an ambush to use those torps. Be cautious with other DDs but certainly fire and kite or move in depending on the situation. Keep at least half or more on ur HP pool for some amazing yolo rushes in smoke. Make sure u have 3km detect. Even in 7km or more conceal, ur up to the task. The heat is very decent still. Just an awesome tanking boat when combined esp, with rush. Use islands in combo with rushing in the open with smoke… surprise … and be not afraid! Take on only as many ships as u can take on before u get those torps off. I call this the 2 for 1 boat because in many rushes it does 2 kills with throwing ur boat or coming out with a hair of energy. Paolo… extremely fun, but high skill level for map awareness. It truly is a more solo boat than most others. I run FRENCH, ITALIAN, RUSSIAN DDs, and some PAN-ASIA too but they are very high support boats. Good luck and fair seas! N8ce video. To me the italian TT destroyers are quite underwhelming. Pulled the exeter from a crate yesterday, first battle got a kraken. The 5.2 km sonar really acts like a radar
The 20 flooding ribbons was the toughest challenge for me as a battleship main i cant do destroyers i absolutely hated that challenge it took me 2 days to get 20 flooding ribbons 2 days. What i gained tho was a ton of respect for the dudes in destroyers you gotta be half crazy to run that as a your main you gotta be a cold calculating mfer with a side of kamikaze to be a destroyer main guy. Lol
Highest tier Italian DD I've play this far are t5 Aviere and t5 Leone. Aviere could be good, but can't seem to get concealment below 6km. For me 5.5km and below are the sweet spot. Of course those DD's hovering at 5.3 and above are required to have good guns (Aviere is fair). As for Leone; imagine a t2 DD with a t5 hp...... that's Leone.
GG for the first game. If all first experiences were that good. Build not bad at. I personally have a f* concealment as far as IT DDs go however, just steering into the skid. My idea works in two ways. Using the TAS mod and perceptive to hunt enemy DDs, with Fulgosi squid ink as i am detected, while having reduced smoke firing penalty using AL Belfast and Farncomb, but i could see changing the later to Sims. For T5s and lower, just go Reload focus with Rizzo and be like soviet DDs. Games have been fun thus far.
If you can go without unstoppable, leviathan is strong pick. Sims I think is a must but the second inspiration can be whatever you want. Trubestkoy and sims is cheeky. I like Rizzo but Fulgosi can work too. investing into reload might pay off if they buff it but 4.4 sec is about as good as its going to get (results may vary)
They not bad , DDS , I tend to focus on semi toro build for speed of torps but still have gun capabilities , easy counter to when facing this in another DD is to go bow or stern in if they are using semi AP , also I noticed it's not wise to load semi AP when moving in to a position looking for DDS as they are bow in , what I tend to do is load the he and still do a daily decent dmg then when the enemy dd opens up load the semi AP , also it's good against cruiser kills provided they have low hp , don't use the smoke if there's a rader cruiser nearby you will get caught, it's fairly similar to french with hard hitting guns , they do catch DDS by surprise, you have to know when to engage DDS , it's not typically a first position dd in terms of scouting , let the game open up and it can do decently , overall I do enjoy it
I find them to be above average, but not great. The concealment does stink. If you are facing off a couple of DDs you will most likely die. Something I have noticed though very recently is that my DDs seem to be getting detected more then normal; is there a bug or just so many radar ships out there now? I am very aware of distance for detection so it boggles me.
Ahhh the good old Cuntyberti🤣 I see so few Italian DD’s I’m sure they’re going to see some love with buffs at some stage. I’m only up to the T6. I’ve enjoyed the line for the most part. Not too bad but not great. I’ll keep grinding to the T8 for sure.

Germans are good , as a start , USA is not about torping but hunting DDS , British are in between Germans and USA , japs are soley for zoning but do have hard hitting guns , if used correctly,
I feel like with the Italians, you have to dump the torps so far ahead and the guns really don’t do well as compared to the US destroyers like I have Mahan and she has 3 sets of torps amd good gun damage.
Don't know about the lower tiers but Cuniberti is mediocre to say the least. It needs a torp dmg buff otherwise it's going to be a rare sight. I hit a t-7 bb with 6 torps but didn't sink it... Torps are also slower than painful death. Don't like it...
I dont think they worth the grind. Maybe if they would have better reload they would be good as a gun boat but really what you gonna do with that concealment.

@@whereruaaron different botes for different folks right? I have had the idea of using the new Italian DD commander built out with Sims and possibly Mordoff to make them mini cruisers because the detection is already so poor. I just don't want to put all the commander resources into it right now.

I'm kind of new to the game. I want to play destroyers but idk what nation to start with for practice. I was thinking Germany, US, or Japan. Any tips?
Germany is very good, USA are more "gun boats" and the IJN are torpedo focused

Waste of time and money to invest in Italian DDs. Other ships are better at either type of play...gunboat or torp boat.
