@@Sam-TheFullBullIt's because the physics are different, and that you actually have to press on a pedal and steer a wheel to drive. Can't really do that when playing on maps like rainbow road and coconut mall

Interesting how these games use a single general map to make two separate track layouts on, not unlike what Tour later did for its city courses and Piranha Plant Cove.
I can't say Namco made a game that's engaging, fun, or easy to understand, but where I will give them credit is that they managed to make the green shell actually useful.
I REALLY hope one day we get some king of mario kart collection or something so we can get these games on actual consoles. Really love all of the mario kart arcade games but i have no way to play them now so

Everything else is either, a) a video of the arcade cabnet not the actually capture footage, or b) so terrable and choppy that you can see shit. The fact that it took this long to get these new update tracks signed and documented in glorious hd format, Really really REALLY pisses me off. Wasnt anybody else working one capturing these? Unfortunately it was impossible for the longest time to get proper footage on these tracks as there was no (public) 1.18 dump. This changed a couple days ago and the game is fully playable through emulators now. I have been looking into recording the real thing through an arcade cabinet in the past but the best you can get out of these is 720p iirc (might be wrong on this.) And even then it seems an absolute pain to connect a capture card to this, so I unfortunately had to resort to emulator until I find a way to connect a capture card to one.

My brother works in a video game repair shop, so i get a lot of that "tech savy" talk. I get that the amount of pain far outweighs the content reward. Good job bro. These tracks are genuinely designed beautifully, it's such a shame that none of these have been ported to a console Mario Kart game.
