VB was so op, he was his own only solution. He had RISING RUSH nerfed
He made it to where there was more cover changes

Half of the time greens didn’t even do anything
Having him at 3*(2* I forgot you only got him up to 2* first time getting him) was enough to compete with 14* teams

@@gabito_366 no she was not, whether you had fusions, or god ki, or future you have Super Vegito, and Merged Zamasu and even then you could wait for his ult that would obliterate her from 75% health, but if you tap main ability you do a 40% increase and combo her into the Ult
No one's talking about the meta where Future Gohan, RED Zamasu and Mai would draw out matches. Back then post-battle calculations didn't take place so if the match didn't have a declared winner, then both players would receive a loss💀

Prime red LF Gohan was just a nightmare to go against if one of his allies dies. He can use 2 blast cards and your character would just get instantly deleted.🤣
He can still immediately delete characters especially on lms, I use him a lot to bait beast users thinking they have tylr advantage but main+lms+ult = instant one shot

Very smart and healthy for the game for them to give Beast Gohan infinite vanish, infinite combos, infinite cover null, cover change, type null, blast armor, anti-rising rush, best support in the game from Pan... I'm sure I missed something... People really trying to tell me that FSK was better, like you couldn't just rush him.
I mean there was a time where FSK was run alongside an endurance and a revival character. So no, it wasn't always as simple as rushing him.

Gohan is absolutely broken but you can win a fight without him. But in the VB meta there was a 90% chance of losing the fight when you dont had him
Honestly, it has to be Red Gohan because he had TWO ERAS where he was the most dominant character, his initial release he was the best until Vegito came out and then was the best character for a year
I’m surprised purple android 21 did not make the list everyone was using her and she made the girls team meta. Also you could make extremely long combos back when you could tackle after a strike card and continue the combo. They changed tackles because of her.
Well although she was super strong, they were other characters that could actully compete with her. The ssj4s and Red Bardock were all super strong. That might actually have been my favorite period of the game for pvp. Regen team with LF Piccolo and 21, Saiyan teams with ssj4 or bardock, gt teams, god ki, androids, lineage of evil, hybrids, fused warriors.
It was so cool to meet different teams and learn to fight every team depending on how they work and the kits of diverse meta characters.
im pretty sure they change the tackle after a strike card because of kefla and they change the tackle right before the 2nd year anniversary cause if they didn't nerf it VB and Kefla would combo you till the 3rd anniversary.
Great video, in way also fun nostalgia trip since I've also played since day 1 where I knew knowing about gacha/pvp games.
One advice: I believe that during this long commentary videos it would be nice to see you in the cam on the corner like you do on reactions.
I think green Kefla also deserves a mention, maybe not that dominant, but back when she released her damage was unmatched.

The top 4 characters actually made the game what it is today. Good old days of pure chaos. Also, almost every Gohan in the game has a place in the meta. A lot of people don't remember the SSJ2 purple Gohan when he first came out, to the point they had to make a specific hybrid counter for him by releasing the first Goku black. I love that Legends gives my boy the respect he deserves. SSJ 2 red Gohan was the strongest like in the anime, and now Beasthan is just absurd

I would think that the one flaw with Beast Gohan is that he doesn’t always have endurance for if you get comboed like crazy, but let’s be honest, only Beast Gohan is doing that much 😂.

Some units that come to mind are 2nd Anni VB, yellow ssj2 Gohan, red Super Gogeta back when Holy Trinity was the meta, zenkai FSK Gohan when he first came out and zenkai yellow 18
Red super gogeta was the weakest link in the holy trinity. You just ran him because that was the best ssj option.
Prime vb was terrifying lmao. I feel he still holds the title for most dominate character at a certain point in time. I remember playing with him at 2 STARS and he washed everything. If a character is so op the devs needed to change the gameplay as a whole then I think it’s safe to say vb maintains the title. I would put beasthan at 3 and fsk at 2 since fsk even to this day is a scary last man standing unit.

I agree with I myself in year 2 of thus game I had no skill I didn't know about cover changes dropping combos and all the other shit i didn't even know how to build a real team
I just put him on a random team w the other boost characters basically a full team of the new 2nd year characters and my vb out of all my units was carrying my ass all the way from rank 1 to 50 not even joking vb still holds a place in my heart on this game and I hate how they did his zenkai like holy shit they thought this is still year 1 like wtf
LF red gohan literally made me stop playing for over a year because of his teams and the amount of zenkais that came out after him which was hard to counter with a f2p account at the time. 😭

Really good list! I’m surprised you didn’t put Tag Goku and Vegeta in it. They probably were the best unit in the game before UL Gogeta and they were EVERYWHERE on release like 99% of matches! I had never encountered a unit so much in this game before (been playing PVP since red SSJ2 Gohan got his Zenkai so post VB’s prime)

Yes he is broken but he will be meta relevant for a few months because he is actually good for a lot of reasons not just damage like cooler and you have characters to deal with him like broly or dragon fist and many more new characters to come out. I used to have suicidal thoughts over red sjj2 gohan
Also I like these type of videos you should do one with the top 10 underrated characters or top ten DOA characters
So excited for legends fest just to get some variety into the meta. Hopefully, more than just GT gets buffed as well. Fighting the same 3 units every match is never fun. I mean I really like beast gohan and will continue using hybrids but other teams definitely need some equal footing.
Surprised to see Zenkai GRN Fat Buu wasn't on this list, the dude literally could not die. Not even because of baby next to him, his defenses were just insane along with the strike sealing ability he had. Also the faint on blue card was cancerous when combined with how much damage he was able to do.

I pulled that Blue Broly on the first multi I did and he was so fun to pvp with. I miss those early days when everyone was just figuring things out
Red Gohan has had the most comebacks. No other unit that old has come back to being absurd so many times. Remember the red purple purple team when goten got a zenkai and LF revival Gohan was there? All three of them were two carding units with blast cards and again this red Gohan doing absurd amount of damage still after so long lol

Z Broly was the first ever banner post release. I can confirm since I played it a ton back in the day and remember it never dropping despite all my summons

Beast Gohan might not appear to have any flaws, but you know what he doesnt have? Counter on his blue. Nameku for the win!
Imo, some units that could've also made the list or would at least be in the Top 15
SP Red Zamasu - Best defensive unit in the game easily with endurance, a team heal, and large damage cut at the time. Resulted in a change in the battle system to where instead of a Draw at time-out (both players will lose RP in that instance), damage would be calculated at the end to determine the victor.
Zenkai GRN Buu - Similar to Red Zamasu but just overall much stronger individually with strike sealing on swap in, much higher stats relative to almost all characters, and above average damage buffs. Didn't result in a balance change, but was a dominant presence on Regen until Legends Festival '21.
SP GRN Goten - Gross damage buffs, had one of the first notable dual stat buffing Z-Abilities, and was paired with two of the other best units in the game with SP PUR SSJ2 Gohan and SP Yel Kid Trunks for the best trio in the game. Had influence on them first officially addressing sidestep and proceeding to nerf it.
LF Super Vegito - On the best team, had a main ability that applied multiple offensive abilities to himself while also clearing most available character's stat upgrades, and one of the first units with what is now a traditional special cover change (first was GRN DBZ Broly I believe.)
GRN Instant Transmission Goku - Very similar situation to LF SSJ Goku, except his special move would counter every offensive ability in the game other than Rising Rush. Along with having two instances of combo disruption on cover, one of the most obnoxious units every released.
I just got back into this game after around 2 years. I've had to play the super heros team cause all my old units are just ass now and the zenkais I have are pretty outdated.

I only play the game since a year and a half but what I can say, is that Beast Gohan is a nightmare. He's indeed perfect (until now) but since he's so good and omnipresent, he killed any form of variety in his game. A thriving game, for me, is a game where there is variety...
trust me beast gohan is a little more tame because of characters like dragon fist, ultra broly, ultra gogeta and ultra sv. they can somewhat neutralize him. back in vegito blues prime at 2 STARS he washed everyone type advantage or not and his ult hit so damn hard. fsk was a walking rush with the stupid amount of dmg he did. with his heal and type neutrality it made it so if you got caught you’re team was washed not to mention his last stand potential. purple broly gave everyone ptsd to the point that when his zenkai was announced everyone was freaking out. those 3 were so dominant it was insane
Imo honorable mentions of red super gogeta, zenkai blue bardock and lf purple revive gohan
In my opinion few honorable mentions would be Purple Bojack for being the first unit to have a cover change and forcing players to learn how to drop combo, Yellow SSJ2 Gohan for his annoying green card blue card combo, GRN Kefla and her what felt like infinite healing, insane strike damage and UI Sign Goku be being the first unit to have a unique gauge that was very annoying to deal with but this is a really good list, I hope they Zenkai Green Bardock for Beast Gohan

i do think zenaki beerus meta was a bit alright cause you did need him on 7 stars and like 21k cc to get him to Z7 which only the whales could do so it was a bit easy as not many people had him.
Yellow transforming Gohan should definitely be on this list people were complaining because he was too good, first unit with an aoe green card and he locks you in plus his blue card did so much damage

If I remember correctly about DBS purple Broly blast armor, you wouldn't take damage when charging through a blast attack and they then change that also

Giving beast comboable cover changes was such a stupid idea but just the icing on top that that showed they truly wanted beast to be as broken as possible.

I think green kefla should have a place in this tier list, blast armor strike and ult, card draw speed with no time limit, ult with fient chance and was first unit to get 25 to strike damage on her regular strike arts!!
I won't be surprised if legend festival ultra or lf this year's make the pvp full of pain and endless suffering
On an unrelated note, we need an ultra merged zamasu sure ppl don’t like future buffs but god ki regen PO all need the help and is infinitely better for the game than an ultra fsk vb or gb and it aint like future is broken or anything. Ultra dkp works too

Not having 🐐Beast Gohon is terrible, and i tried $$, I have played for years and this is the first time I have felt like a character is unfair to play against. Glad to see this video because I was beginning too feeI like I was battling hackers, Win loss ratio went from 2 of 3 to 1 in 6.

I remember Red Zenkai Gohan being that huge of a problem that Toshi went ahead and made the decision to lock PVP in way where if you didnt have this Gohan zenkai’d you wouldn’t get matched up with anyone that had him. And so for months straight ppl who didn’t have this Gohan had a rough time getting into pvp due to a smaller range of ppl to match with

Nah fam that is some bullshit, i didnt' have his zenkai and he was all i saw during pvp.
And honestly he was by far the least of my worries like sure he could oneshot you and all that but he was just a stat stick, a YGO vanilla beater and when LF Kid buu came out he was absolutely obliterating him with his main taking away attribute upgrades.
For me it was Futurehan and Revhan that were the massive pain in the ass of the team, not FSK Gohan.

Going in line with the way every top 5 most broken character had to have a GAMEPLAY mechanic introduced/changed to stop their reign, the only way to counter out beast gohan was to have a character be able to self-cover change.

and to add the extra salt with Beast Gohan, you amp up what is already busted damage and kit, with dbs hero pan, and you just basically win, like it really makes you think that the devs really just don't care about the games longevity
