    I had a T-2290 & it was a great mowing machine however I traded it in on a BX because I needed more versatility! Very happy with it!

      yeah there little exspensive riding mowers but deffently worth the pennies better then the cheap boxed store junk ones plus kubota has engines options gas or diesel engines plus the t and gr it can be added with roll bars if wanted wich nice extra few dollars add on better then getting crushed if fliped over

    Honestly this video kind of just makes me want to find an old B-series or JD. These come with a huge price-tag when you could get an older and heavier duty piece of equipment for a third the cost.

      Just get a kubota from the late 90's early 2000's, you wont find a more reliable set of machines.

      JD heavier duty? 😂
      Personally, I'd never give JD my money after what they did to farmers

    • @spec8473
      @spec8473 Před 3 měsíci

      @@Golgi-Gyges It'd be an older used one obviously. You just use aftermarket support for the old models and JD doesn't get to see a dime.

    The easy way to discern betwix a garden tractor and a lawn tractor is
    to look at the rear wheels. If you see lug nuts, its a garder tractor if
    you see NO lug nuts, its a lawn tractor.

    Great video. I have 29 hours on mt T2090....complaint, reverse gear is a joke, and virtually useless. Tractor good, not sure if my tranny is hooped. Only used for lawn.

    What keeps the 2 blades from each other. My 30"Toro push mower uses a timing belt to keep them from hitting each other.

    • @robb1165
      @robb1165 Před 10 měsíci +1

      The GR has three blades, with the center blade mounted far enough forward to get a full cut without the blades needing to be timed.

    Think you should have not shown that sequence cutting that tall grass, as it just convinced me to look elsewhere for a decent mower. This isn't it.

      Wrong style of mower for a one pass cut on grass that tall. I wish the guy would not talk so fast. I cut the video short for the strain on my ears to understand and not miss a word was exhausting.

    I have a chance to get a really clean 2010 gr2120 with snow blower and salt spreader attachments 230hours garage kept for 3900 bucks. Is this a good deal or not?

    Mowers with closed decks do not do a good job of cutting overgrown brush like what you demonstrated on. These are for mowing GRASS and slightly overgrown weeds. Bush hogs are equipped differently to tackle the heavy brush. Mower decks with an open front are for cutting heavy brush, neither of these have that.

  • @jacobhendrickson8935

    What’s a fabricated deck??

    • @fogit4668
      @fogit4668 Před 2 měsíci

      Fabricated deck is plate steel that has been welded together the lightest gauge I have seen is 13 and the heaviest was 10. The fabricated decks are a lot stronger for projectile protection and life against rusting (more metal). The welds on a fabricated deck is where the metal is melted together. It is very important to keep paint on the welded metal to control rust. If the welding is done properly the surrounding metal will fail before the welded metal will.
      When doing a stamped deck a thinner metal needs to be used. The stamp decked is made using a process called deep draw stamping. In this process the steel is stretched over a die. If there are problems in the metal used (cheap steel) you will get hairline cracks, thinning or both that will be your point of failure in the future either from rusting or cracking.
      I should point out that the GR series Kubota use a 10 gauge stamped deck. That is very heavy duty steel and has to be of the higher quality to pull off the deep draw stamping process.

    Could have at least put the deck down so it could cut the grass.
