This little lad takes his duties as big brother VERY seriously. He could smell, feel, and hear wee Arthur, and loved him immediately. It’s clear the wee baby loves his big brother Bruno as well. You guys are doing a great job raising both, which shows what a loving family you are. Congratulations on both the babies, who truly will be brothers for life.

Boxers are the sweetest dogs, just pure love. I had a super sweet lab, but I can unreservedly say that Boxers have the best temperament of any breed I have ever met.
I can bet if any bad person tries to hurt the baby or his Mom Bruno will protect them with his life
That's how my Rottie was with my nephew. She was the gentlest dog you ever met, but mess with her boy and it was F around and find out. lol

@@mrthorwahl My nephew was never interested in playing with other kids. He's mildly autistic, So he was always happy to play by himself. But she would stay near him any time they were outside together, and she was always very calm rarely barked or growled. But she had a look that said back up now or else. I pretended to hurt my nephew to see what she would do and she got between me and him and gave me the look. She had never so much as bared her teeth at me. That day I knew she was going to protect him from anyone.

So surprised at how gentle such a young dog is with the baby. Normally dogs in their early years have a mega load of puppy energy that they can't contain, but Bruno is so careful with Arthur. Just wow!
Indeed. Just that...sense...animals got, you know? They can tell stuff without needing to be told or taught, and while he may not understand it exactly, Bruno seems to well understand on an instinctual level that the baby is to be protected and that he has to be gentle with him. One of those remarkable things that mark a sort of symbiosis animals can have, where one just sort of KNOWS the other.
Well, dogs are different. My dog Tubbs is 3 and a half now, chihuahua pit bull mix. He’s laid back and “normal” now, but he was the most violent puppy I’ve ever met ( I foster for rescues, so I’ve met a lot puppies) when he was a puppy, at any given time, I have 20 open wounds on me. But around 10 month old, he just stopped, and changed , became a different dog. But clearly, I can’t really trust him alone with other people
This is typical of the boxer breed. They are great family dogs and very intuitive.
@@suebell5870 can confirm I was three wenn we got our family Boxer and he was just the best with me and my older siblings. He was very energetic but mostly with his favourite ball and dog friends.

Boxers are very loyal and protective towards the kids in the family. Mine would cry when the babies would cry every time.
Boxers are legendary for their love of children, very lucky baby to have such a friend.
I grew up with a boxer. The daftest, most playful dog on the planet, right up until a man tried to abduct me one day. That dog went into pure protection mode, which he'd never been trained to do. I hate to imagine what would have happened that day had that dog not sensed my fear and the bad vibe that man gave off. Loved that dog.
Ugh! 😩 Sorry you had to experience that. So many creeps out there, glad your dog was there to protect you. My Neighbor had a creepy guy following her while she was out on her walk one day. It's sad that women can't even enjoy a walk in broad daylight.
Yeah my mom said the first time she ever heard our boxer actually growl was when our next door neighbors son stood at the edge of the yard and almost walked into our yard while me and my sister were playing. He was one of the most tolerant dogs ever but very protective.

Dogs give unconditional, unrestricted love. Dogs don't care if their owners are bad people, rich or poor, or if the house is a mansion or an apartment. Dogs are always happy to see you home, and you too will be comforted and cheered up by knowing that every time you come home they will be at the door to welcome you.🐶

Growing up with a pet was a tremendous support for me mentally and emotionally especially if your the only child with busy working parents. I never felt alone even though I was. My best friend was always with me.
When Bruno gets ahead of the pram during walks, he is making sure the road is clear and that there are no dangers in front of you, and positioning himself so that he could fend them off if there were.

According to Cesar Millan, you should not let your dog be out in front because that is the traditional place of the pack leader. Your dog should not think they are the pack leader.

We had a Boxer, he was my Grandfather's and he was too old to handle him, and any time my parents punished us they had to lock him in a room. He was extremely protective. And the sweetest gentle dog for the rest of his life.

My daughter had a boxer puppy and he was exactly the same with my grandson. Boxer puppy are the most beautiful puppies iv ever seen. Sadly buster died when he was 1 year old with kidney problems.🐅❤️💙

Docking tails has been banned in Australia for many decades and declawing was always illegal, certainly in my lifetime (I am 66).

Boxers are the best! I used to watch my nieces and nephew a lot and they would spend the night. I fostered a 10 mo old boxer and he fell in love with the kids. Wanted to sleep in their room in the doorway between our room and their room. He was the most protective dog I ever owned. He went after a dude trying to break into the house while I was home. I miss him all the time! The best snuggler and I loved his frito smell.

That’s how boxers are. I’ve had them my whole life. They are the Best dogs. Not super smart but best all around fun loving dogs.
This is a mirror image of our Boxer and new born daughter, they were inseparable, sadly our Boxer passed away at 12yrs old and as a family we will never recover from that loss but have video memories forever, choking back tears as I write👍🌹

Oh!!!My!! Goodness!!! This is just the best feel good stories I’ve heard lately. Bruno was so happy to be a big brother that he instituted play time with the baby way before he would have a proper meeting. I just love how Bruno would play with the squeaky toy against the pregnant belly. I melted into a puddle when I say the picture with Bruno wearing the “I’m getting a Human” kerchief. So creative. They will be best buds from now on. We’ll be seeing a very excited Bruno when Arthur comes home from college in a video in about 18 years. Love this video so much.

You are VERY lucky indeed..This video brought tears to my eyes as I'm still mourning the loss of my Boxer Harley as we lost him this past April, and he went downhill fast...I never thought last Christmas would have been our last together..I miss him dearly every minute of every day. He was such a good boy and came into our lives at the perfect time as it was just after losing my oldest brother to liver failure and about 10 months before my father passed away from lung cancer and COPD... I'm also a recovering addict and alcoholic, suffer from mental health illnesses brought on by multiple head traumas and damage from the drugs I took trying to escape how the "new" me felt after my accident in '00... Please do me a favor and love on them for me...
