Thankyou for rewritting every Korn song!
Some Ajvar, right? 🤣
Sounds cool
Another life long Korn fan here, I actually dig this remix. Need some vocals on it to finish it off lol. Would love to see JD or Head do a react to this
Would love that!
@@NikNocturnal sounds better than new korn.
@@haydenkayne ooooooooooooooof
@@haydenkayne Nobody asked
Oh hell yeah! That would be awesome! I liked it man
Yo this one slaps for real
It do
@@metaloreo8423 It does, I guess
Fun fact, Korn have been using the half-octave down thing in their songs since 2002, starting with Here to Stay. A lot of people use it nowadays in modern metal but they were pioneering that back then
Pretty sure Black Sabbath had half step down in their 1980 Heaven and Hell Album....
@@DVRKSHVYVN I'm not talking about the tuning. I'm talking about using a pitchshifting pedal like the Digitech Whammy to blend the dry signal with an octave-down signal, making it sound really ballsy. Also yeah, Sabbath are downtuning pioneers even way before heaven and hell.
@@Nestorglass ahh, that makes sense!
@@DVRKSHVYVN Yeah, since Korn has been downtuning long before Here to Stay, it's been their signature sound since they broke out with S/T. Nestor's explanation cleared it up for sure.
See: Dimebag, Pantera - Sandblasted Skin. 1996. Same effect used.
God, from the breakdown until the end was siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. All the headbangs.
As an aside, Jonathan Davis comes through the McDonald's I work at every Sunday for breakfast when he's not on tour.
That's freaking awesome!
Dude, Korn has been one of my favorite band for years, and this just makes me extremely happy. Thank you for this man, keep up the amazing work
Thank you :D
If it was me doing this video I would've redone the entire thing because of the tomato stuck on the teeth, goes to show Nik is a real G
I figured it just adds to the dumb of this video
It shows character
I have been a life long korn fan..I'm in my 40s and this remix is fantastic. I would love to hear some vokills over it too. Mad props Nik. 🤘🤘
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good shizzle
Man I didn't feel old till you said 40s. Right there with you. Add some vocals do a full remix.
Make this into a vocal contest, would love to hear all the different submissions, this is great!
This still sounds pretty good. Honestly, the main problem with modern dj0nt is that it’s just riff salad bullshit to impress other guitarists. Why this still works is presumably because it retains the narrative and structure and (implied) vocals of the original. And that, ultimately, is what people enjoy listening to, not five minutes of random chugging patterns.
That sounded sick! A lot of it sounds like if Korn themselves made Blind in 2022. 🧐
D:
@The Horizon Blue Totally
The tone of the high notes at 8:15 + is blowing my mind. Ear candy.
How you even do that
WE NEED A COVER WITH VOCALS NIK!

@@NikNocturnal up
Normally when you take an old metal song and DJENTify it, its more meme, but this is another level! I love Korn and this is just sooo cool…
God I want to throw a vocal track over this SO MUCH!!!!!
Go for it
Do it!!!
Do it bet
I'm subscribe for this 🙌
Do it!
Dimebag may have gotten me into learning guitar, but Korn got me hooked on 7 string. So fun to play along with Korn. Great job on this Nik!
All thanks to Steve vai and Ibanez. Kinda ironic that an 80's hair metal guitar god would create a guitar that would kill hair metal. Just talking about steve and when the guitar was made, his solo music obviously isn't hair metal.
Slipknot and Stevie T got me into playing guitar honestly
this is how you know korns music is timeless. because this sounds very similar to the original demo of Blind from their EP in 1993!
This is actually legit good. How about an old Deftones track next - 7 words maybe?
I've thought about doing Deftones for this series actually :D
@@NikNocturnal do you release these anywhere for download or streaming? Theres been quite a few bangers and i wouldnt mind listening to them away from my computer
My own summer would be sick. That riff is so good.
Modern Metal Deftones would fuck so hard, thinking on Thornhill/Loathe kinda sound
Or djent-ify "Poltergeist" even further.🤣
I want to hate you for doing this to one of my favourite bands and song. BUT I CAN’T!!! This is insane. I wish the vocals were on the stack and I was able to play it on repeat on my Spotify.
;)
6:09 My man had me cackling like a character from a tom and jerry episode
I like how korn never truly evolved their riffage because it’s always been funky and groovy no matter what album it was, it’s just simply music for everyone imo
That's a brilliant rethinking of the song!!!
I want so much some metal vocals here😩
It sounds cool, Nik! What about "If Nirvana 'Come as you are' was made in 2022"?
Definitely want to do a Nirvana song for this series
That would be so cool! Please do that! :))
@@NikNocturnal Negative creep will suffice
Finally some Korn content! Smashing like as hard as I can
For anyone else trying to figure out what's in Nik's teeth... There is a good shot @8:17.
Kinda looks like pepper or a sundried tomato maybe?
I was guessing its corn since... you know? The video is about Korn
It was a loose tomato

Was the yellowish/orange looking food stuck on your tooth at 5:39 a part of the “Korn” song process? Lol
Sure
I'm so glad someone is acknowledging their newer sound instead of sticking to untouchables era or earlier for all their content
Nik, love the videos . Absolutely solid ! With this “ made in 2022” cover/ remix you got going on it really had me thinking I don’t doubt but I’m For Certain that a Made in 2022 of Sevendust Denial would absolutely be crushing . I’m sure many others would also love to see what you could bring to the table for this one . Please except this challenge and bring it !! Thank you for the Nu content 👌🏼
I’m seeing Korn live on Friday so this was perfect timing
Loving this man!! Keep it coming!! Keep rocking!! 🤘🔥
Yo man! Killer job!!! One of my favorite korn songs and I LOVE this version. All that’s missing is some mean vocals
Remember everyone, even great guitarists like Nik brush their teeth in the morning one tooth at a time.
Bet he puts his skinny jeans on two legs at a time tho. Awesome video my dude, one of the best in this series
So good!
ciao Daniele!!!! Che bello vederti qui
Daje daniè, hai buon gusto anche con i canali CZcams oltre che con la musica
Uomo di cultura
Questo mi fa presupporre che anche tu sia fissato con le cover dei tuoi artisti preferiti
I've just come into KoRn.went from listening to hard rock to nu metal about a year ago. This remix is fucking awesome. Keep up the good work. Also you are my favorite CZcamsr
Long time Korn and modern heavy metal fan here and that was a legit remix of “Blind.” Now to get some lyrics on that track!
Dude you managed to take one of the most nostalgic songs of my teens and made it even better! The riff @ 6:40 is friggin' awesome.
That guitar tone is insane!!!
Glad you dig it!
KARN!
KoRn’s my favorite all time band! This remix is insane!!! I love these remix videos from you.
This is a face melter, but maybe if there was a little bit of fieldy slapp it would be a face obliterator.
Oh my, this was better than i ever could have imagined. Real good job, Nik!
I used to think Nik was a metal elitest and hated Nu metal, I’m glad someone can enjoy all genres of metal!!!!
I hope this somehow reaches the band because honestly this is legit good and it deserves recognition.
Timeless sound. As fresh now as it was in 1994.
Man this is the best one so far AMAZING JOB!!
KEEP THIS AMAZING STUFF GOING MATE!
WHAT A AWESOME JOB YOU HAVE DONE RECREATING THAT KORN SONG!!!
Korn is one of my favorite bands ever! I was very interested on how’d you handle making it modern sense it’s so modern and already really really low but you managed as always 😂😂
Liked and subbed. This crushes man. As a dude who listened to the OG album the day that shit dropped back in the early 90s, this cover is WELL done, and just as good if not better.
Ball Tongue would sound heavy as hell if you did this with that song
Just a minute or two in and I'm already excited for the end result
Korn has so many unique guitar-isms and you nailed it! Keep these coming
Korn should write a song called Tomato Tooth
I need this on Spotify! Hits so hard
PLEASE MAKE A SPOTIFY PLAYLIST OF UR TRACKS LIKE THIS NICK!!🙏
Absolutely amazing, couldn't help but sing along. Thanks for making my morning 🤘🤘🤘
Korn is one of my favorite bands I don't know how the singer does some of the vocal sounds but this video is pretty cool because explains what he is adding to it and Nik is a pretty good guitarist
I would go as far to say that Korn is one of the fathers of djent. Think about it. They were experimenting with crazy low tunings in 1993 for godsakes. They are in the DNA of it all.
It's so good, and so fucked up at the same time, damn that shit slaps
"it's just so much... stupid"
That's what we're here for 🖤
Fun video brother, enjoyed the vibe, not being too serious and just having a good time. You made it look easy
I remember the first deathcore song that surprised me because Jon Davis was in it was Suicide Silence's Witnessing The Addiction. I think this might be the second one so far \m/ it's like koRn went deathcore all of a sudden
You could say you were.... blind about the tomato

@@NikNocturnal Never stop
That was fun Nick. I love that Korn holds up after all these years.
This blew me away when I was 15. The remix blew me away now and I couldn't help but headbang along even at old man status.
Fun.
I already liked corn but Nick just threw that Frank's all over it!!! Thnx mate🤘🏻🤘🏻
You can put that sh*t on anything
This shit was fire !!! It was it like a bonus Doom Eternal track lol. Good job nik. What a great musician you are !
Great playing brother man. You do alot of really cool shit. You are appreciated .
You had me really concerned as you were building the track, but once it was all there and did the full playthrough, I was sold. Solid, weird, and Awesome.
Your one of the reasons I play guitar you, and thedooo are top guitarist in my book👌🏼
korn’s guitar riffs are sick. but the real star of the band is David’s drums
The morbid curiosity needed to watch this redo. Holy crap. It’s like you telling me exactly how you’re going to beat up my dog and just watching as it goes down. Looking right into the poor pups eyes as his heart breaks at my betrayal.
Lol
I saw Korn and Marilyn Manson open for Danzig in Charlotte in about 96 or 97. We had no idea who Korn or Marilyn Manson was. Korn opened and the first song they played was Blind. The place was packed, and during the intro, everyone was standing around like they were in a library. When it kicked in, I looked around and the place was a fucking riot. It was the most intense moment I've ever had at a show.
So good, you left some food in your mouth yourself...
Came for the Korn, stayed for the Tomato teeth🤙
I was combing the comments looking for someone mentioning the tomato skin hanging out on his teeth.. lol
@@killerbeblue8380 ....same

Dude. This is really good. I wish I could hear it with the vocals. It bet it would be sick.
Dude I'm legit getting paradigm shift and slipknot vibes from this remix! It's so awesome!!! Please do more of these with the other self titled gold!!!
this here is proof that musicians should update their works every now and again, cause they just might sound better the second go-around.
See what you made me do? Haven't listened to KoRn in over a decade and now I'm listening to their first album again.
Awesome version. I was hearing Jonathan's vocals in my head the whole time. :-)
This is genius. Listening to this be reimagined bar for bar is genuinely fun. If I could show 11 year old me this rendition, I would've lost my mind. Great job on the Nü banger, bro!
This remake sounds like it would be part of their album requiem💀
This cover cured my kornstipation❤️❤️
Dude, this is dope! I'd be more than willing to add vocals if you'd be up for a collab! 😀
10/10 this is actually dam good. Great job bro ❤️❤️🔥🔥
Best one yet dude! Keep it up
Solid redo, Nik! If I may point a statement: The drums that you overdid yourself may sound weak to the style that Ray Luzier is playing this song. He absolutely KILLS all of the old KoRn songs. Saw him live two times now and he is an absolute unit behind the kit. They couldn't have chosen a better drummer!
P.S.: I am still kind in akward mode since your last live-stream where you did the "spill"-thing... *bites into desk*
¡THIS IS SO ILL!
¿Soy el Único que Piensa que esta Re-interpretación de Blind debería estar en el Soundtrack de DOOM? Me recordó mucho a Mick Gordon. xD
Los "pequeños" detalles siempre hacen la Diferencia. 🤘🖤
No sé si me Explico. 😅
En Fin. Saludos "Paisano".
@The Horizon Blue . Me hubiera gustado mas REQUIEM si hubieran evolucionado su estilo a este Nivel. Tiene uno parecido en "Lost in the Grandeur".
Esta versión suena BRUTAL!! 🤘
You definitely smashed this into another level of greatness.
I love how the last part
Was
Just “ it’s so much stupid “
I think some people sleep on how influential Korn is on Metal and Rock as a whole. That whole "Are you ready" changed the landscape big time for metal
When Korn is gone. We will look back on them how we look back on Black Sabbath and Nirvana
Definitely one of the all time great metal bands
the "problem" as it were is that nu metal isn't "strictly" metal as it's primarily based on grunge and hardcore with a lot of hip hop influence in the rhythms and grooves, and metal in general is based on hard rock and blues (basically just an ever-heavified continuation of what black sabbath and other psych/hard rock bands did in the 60s and 70s). it's easy to hear if you listen to a bunch of grunge bands and then listen to nu metal songs after that. a lot of grunge already sounds very metal and it was never heralded as a metal genre, just part of alternative rock. that's also why people do not consider metalcore and deathcore metal because it has "too much hardcore" in it. i can see it, but it's kind of ridiculous. at some point genres will converge and you wont be able to draw a clear line.
that said i agree, heh. nu metal is metal to me.
When I say this hits harder than my step dad. It hit harder
Blows me away that you can smash out bangers so effortlessly. Also, I want corn for dinner now.
AWW dude, that pinch harmonic that sounds like a horsey right before 3min... so good!!!
whats that stuck in your teeth Nik?
Some good tasty tomato
I love korn, but this version blows the original out of the water for me, it could be how much better the production sounds, but it just slaps
KoRn did use the digitech whammy back in the day on that album. The part you did on the verse sounds kind of the “blind demo” KoRn did before the album released.
I've been a fan of Korn since 2003, seen them live the first time in 2005 and few times after. This was actually pretty well made and I could see them appreciating the modernization. You got a subscriber from this one for sure. Sounds pretty damn good honestly. It's hard to ruin KoRn 🤘😁👍
You just murdered my first metalcore /nu-metal song i listened to... and i fckin love it!
Okay this sick! Put it up on spotify, *Do it*
2:48 i think its time to djentify painkiller
Johnathan from Korn should sing over this!
